This guy is fucking awesome
Nah, K and L are shoe-ins to be tied into Z's plot once that starts up. I'd imagine that, assuming next OG after MD is mainly @3 and W, we might gets some early Z or K stuff though.
Season 1 was great, season 2 is ok but not as good as 1.
I miss their in-between segments,now it's only 1 per episode now.
what everyone will feel after it turns out that he's the final boss of OGMD with absolutely no surprises or anything new whatsoever because this game is going to lackluster and watered down as fuck
I'd like another 3DS game, I'm expecting at least some kind of license-based SRW to come out, be it on the 3DS or on the PS3/4.
Along with that, it might get another spinoff, or at the very least we'll probably see another couple of series added to X-O to keep interest in it going.
Banpreios is probably going to get the XN Dimension Slash or whatever, which would be a decent time to bring in parallel universes if they wanted to.
They'd have to somehow make the villains a lot more imposing, though.
How many fucking times do we have to remind you that TERADA HIMSELF SAID THAT Z WAS NOT MEANT FOR OG?
The fucking word of god says that Z will never get in, why are you faggots so delusional?
I'd say the options are...
>A Dark Prison esque side game for Moon Dwellers
>Standalone title for Wii U
>Standalone title or GBA/DS game remake for Vita
>Super Robo Gakuen 2 with the cast of UX+BX
>NEO port for X-Box One(hahaha...)
>Standalone title or GBA/DS game remake for Vita
I wouldn't mind this, save for not having a Vita, but it feels like the era of remakes is a bit past us. I'd happily be proven wrong, but it seems like the last viable remake they could have made was an R Portable that they really missed the boat on.
>They'd have to somehow make the villains a lot more imposing, though.
Why? MD is already toning down the villains from unkillable eldritch abominations to plain regular small army of dangerously human-like aliens, the Chimera would have no issue being considered a menace.
Clearly, what we will get is, Cobray style, post-Z3 heroes coming to OG because reasons in the Solarian to defeat the ultimate boss of OGverse. Probably Z's version of Euzeth being involved and traveling to OG to finish what he started
So what you're saying is that "unkillable eldritch abomination" villains thing climaxed in 2nd OGs and MD is going to have a comparatively-subdued menace to transition to the next villainous high point?
I'll believe it.
A small army of teleporting, time freezing mechs is pretty dangerous.
I mean just look at how dangerous they considered the Shura when all they had was a really janky teleporter system and some dumb animal themed grunt mechs. The Fury can show up basically anywhere at any time without sending anything like the Swordian Daggers ahead.
That would be a huge deal if weren't because the trio of Fury generals are the only ones with time hax, so at best they can attack three different places and hope Touya and Calvina (and maybe the excellence team if they give their time flow engines the power to be immune to their systems) aren't there to disable it. Otherwise, their standard grunts wouldn't be the big deal if they attack without the company of one of the three
"Anywhere but wherever the Steel Dragons are gets fucked" is pretty standard with these invasions. The EF Grunts don't do that great even on the best of days, but when they're literally unable to react because time is fucking frozen then they're gonna be wiped out even faster.
And depending on how long after 2ndOG this is, the military might still be severely lacking in expendable grunt mechs.
>"Anywhere but wherever the Steel Dragons are gets fucked" is pretty standard with these invasions.
Banpresto should really stop doing that. Everytime OG earth is attacked, the whole world is fucked and the federation is fucking useless, and the only time they aren't useless, the federation is the villains. One would think that after seeing how their MP units gets fucked so hard all the time, they would invest money in mass producing perfect copies of the heroes's units. Hopefully MD will at least let them keep GS units and actually have success defending their territory instead of being anal raped by anything that merely gazes at them.
>Divine Wars is on Comcast's On Demand service
>the video quality is so godawful that the subtitles are nearly illegible
>JAM Project sounds like they're buried under a mountain of cotton
>for some reason my parents continue to pay ever increasing bills for Comcast
Only hire grunts with Support Defend and put them in tightly packed Barrelion formations, the only opponents that will be able to break through are bosses with MAPs.
Eventually the survivors of these squads will be a hardened group of veterans second only to Russel.
It's weird that they didn't mass produce the Gespenst Kais, they are fairly effective despite being customized MP gespensts and even have three configuration to fit different roles. Hell, the base Kai without any of their special configuration was better than the powerful Gespenst MK II S.
Gespensts are also in-universe stupid hard to pilot to the point where they needed a group of super awesome natural pilots to program the OS and seriously had a fucking child soldier program going just to get anyone that could actually use a Gespenst properly.
Meanwhile Lions can be used by any fighter pilot.
>the only time they aren't useless, the federation is the villains
That was the greatest cutscene of all time though:
>Oh, there we go, time for mooks to blow up...
>Any time now...
>Wait... What? The bad guys are the ones exploding?
>HOLY SHIT, THE MOOKS ARE WINNING, ARE YOU SHITTING ME?
I doubt each of them is any more expensive than ten MP gespensts or MP huckebeins, and unlike them, those Kais are shitwreckers that aren't made of explodium.
Or alternatively, follow this guy's idea and mass produce the Armorlion. Weaker than the Kais but apparently cheaper to produce and can fly and are tanky enough to not explode the moment something hits them, in fact being pretty durable
>didn't use Heroman at all throughout UX Good thing Will was there
Really I'm not a fan of remakes, especially when it is a series with a set-up like SRW.
I'd rather them focus resources on moving forward, rather than staying in the past.
But that's just my own opinion on that matter.
They weren't making any new huckebein 009 either, yet that didn't stop them from creating two new exbeins either from scratch or building two 009 and then customize them into the beins
The Falken is good, but Seolla isn't. If she had genius, or something similar to psycodriver, then she'd be useful. Her only use in 2nd OG was combo fodder for Arado, and fanservice (and that was worthless while riding the Falken since her main cut-in only shows up with her mapw).
yfw your favorite unit
>has no real canon pilot
>has shitty / recycled from OGs animations
>is irrelevant and likely to get cut
>has been left behind by all the other mc mechs
>just overall shafted by the game
FUCK YOU BANPRESTO LET ME USE THE FUCKING ASHSABER WITH SOMEONE WHO'S ACTUALLY MEANT TO PILOT IT, NOT MAKE IT A CANON SLUT WHERE ANYONE CAN TAKE IT FOR A RIDE
Russel, Radha, Michiru, Tasuku, Presia if she's in the game, Monica until Special Mode if she's in the game, Rishu, if the three other Guests become playable I'd only use Seti, and I'd only use Al-Van if I could use him at least as long as I could use Shu in 2nd OGs.
>it doesn't even need psychic people to use its funnels anymore
Really? The Guncannon is your favorite?
It's not really. Sure, it has range, but Vysaga still has the edge when it comes to pure damage and survivability.
>Ashsaber gets a new pilot
>Vysaga gets a new pilot
>Yuuki and Carla move to Phoenix/Turtle
>Randgrith is scrapped, Laz Angriff gets a new pilot
>One of the leftover powerpuffs gets the Coustwell
>Aqua can pilot Cerberus solo, Hugo can pilot Garmraid solo
>Giganscudo, Siegerlion get new upgrades
>Gespenst RV becomes not garbage
None of these will ever happen, but a man can dream right?
>but Vysaga still has the edge when it comes to pure damage and survivability
The difference in attack power between the Angelg and Vysaga is negligible, and neither unit has any trouble dodging with max mobility and an S terrain.
>Yuuki and Carla move to Phoenix/Turtle
>Giganscudo, Siegerlion get new upgrades
I say those are the only ones that have any chances at all. And the RV is ok.
Gespenst Type-C, Anon.
Comparison between the two:
-Both get double image, Vysaga getting a stronger version with FUB
-Angelg can fly, Vysaga can't
-Vysaga has a slight edge in damage
-Angelg has more part slots
-Angelg can tank better
-Angelg has more range, and better p moves
-Angelg gets energy regen as a FUB
-Angelg has more movement
-Vysaga has more dodge
Yeah, Angelg is better in 2nd OG.
I don't think anything has troubles dodging with max mobility and an S terrain. Without them, the Vysaga is naturally hard to hit, it has the bunshin and in case it ever gets hit, it has the cape shield.
It just really fucking bugs me how we don't have enough pilots for all the units we have.
You know those six F protags we haven't gotten yet? Why don't we just stick them into the Ash, Ravens, Vaisaga, hell, even the Cerberus (since nobody uses it over Garmraid) or even Gandor/Strega?
>Ashsaber doesn't even have a Dynamic Kill on the Sword Breakers
>Only used as a base for custom units (actually a great base to use)
>We'll never get the Weiss Saber
It never stopped me from putting Viletta in it on OG2/OGs.
And Lat in OGG.
I loved when Axel wrecked Kyosuke in an Ashsaber. But man, it really needs a lot more of love than that.
>your favorite unit
doesn't have plamo
Fuck you, Kotobukiya.
Yeah, I know. It was the right choice to make mechanically, prunes the cast very cleanly, and makes sense.
But it's just not the same. It doesn't have that doughboy artillery feel to it.
It's ok, at least we have
>LE EDGY HUCKBEIN KILLER
>LE "APPEARED IN SOME SMALL SIDE-GAME AND WILL BE REPLACED BY THE FUCKING SOLEARES ANYWAYS"
>LE Z2 MAIN MECHA BEFORE ALL THE FUCKING MAIN UNITS BEFORE IT
Holy shit can't we at least just fucking have all the main units first? Where the fuck is
>Anything from D
>Anything from J
>fuck, literally any fucking mc mech from post-OG aside from the fucking Brasta
Why the fuck did they think that giving us literally whos side units like the fuckers i've previously mentioned a good idea before more important units?
At least the Astranagant is cool
>-Angelg can fly, Vysaga can't
Pretty much irrelevant.
>-Vysaga has a slight edge in damage
Meaning it's better.
>-Angelg has more part slots
Which needs more than Vysaga, cause it has worse stats and will get hit a lot. You can even give the Vysaga a Tesla drive and it still has a whole spare slot.
>-Angelg can tank better
Not getting hit >>>>>>>>> Tanking.
>-Angelg has more range, and better p moves
More range sure, but better p moves only until Vysaga hits 120 morale.
>-Angelg gets energy regen as a FUB
EN is hardly an issue in this game.
>-Angelg has more movement
I'll keep using the blue knight, thanks.
>the tit robot
He draws the older girls pretty well though.
I feel like his mechs sometimes look a little stiff, or kind of awkward. I can't quite put my finger on it, and his action can be questionable, but it functions pretty well and is perfectly readable. Nothing amazing, but more than good enough.
has any more of the inspector manga been translated yet?
>Here, take this combiner mecha without the second half
Might as well just make the R-1 and R-2 and not the... oh
Most of his art is stiff. There's an absolute lack of gesture and form in his work. The same is for his action. The artist is not good at all in displaying movement.
That said, I really do enjoy that amateurish style of his. It's very youthful and spry in its adolescence.
I really enjoy his 'horror' scenes. They're not technically exceptional, but that adds a little bit to it. It's pretty freaky.
His einst are fantastic all-around, for example.
Is he the original creator of that Flatfish monster? I know it first appeared in one of the short story manga he drew, but I don't know if he designed it or just adapted the design.
What if they didn't put Gespenst kicks in 2nd OG cause they're gonna reintroduce them with Jayce? He could get a custom Gespie with some leg boosters like the ones the Raioh has.
We have no idea, the manga never even got far enough to actually see his waifu for more than one picture on the magazine cover, and she didn't look anything like Amara. She had pink hair for one, and was a lot less crazy looking.
I don't like Ganador's attacks, even though beam claws are a great idea for a super.
But I didn't like Granteed in J and it looks like they're making that more interesting, so who knows.
Touya, Calvina, Akemi and Akimi until they upgrade. Then there's the shitty support units like Radha and Shine that won't see the light of the day unless they are forced deployed
Which I doubt, since we're already this far in the timeline. Radha's only there for the yoga jokes, while Shine remains the "Whoa princess is actually fighting in a mech!" bait for newcomer pilots.
This is bullshit. Laz Angrif Raven should be on par with the best upgraded reals, what with being the upgrade of an already good unit. Instead, it was degraded to be on par if not weaker than base Laz was in OG2 compared with the others.
And Ash Saver really needs to be upgraded so it remains competent with the other reals, as it is only on par with low tier mecha like the wildraptor, the gespenst kais and the armorlion despite being a main character mecha
>it was degraded to be on par if not weaker than base Laz was in OG2 compared with the others.
IIRC F Solid Cannon was 4500-6400 in OG2, and Charged Diffused Particle Gun is 4200-6400 in OG2nd, so yeah, about the same.
Might have actually been 4800/6700 and 44000/6600 though, can't remember
They fucked a lot of units in 2nd OGs with B-In-Sky and/or attack reductions. Actually, I think 6500(+1000 for special) is fine for finishers, but there are quite a few units with less than that. R-Blade Custom caps at 6100 on natural weapons and then they reduced the power of equippable weapons to the point where the Free Electron Cannon is the only one that breaks 6k at 10 upgrades.
真マジンガー 衝撃! Z編
機動戦士ガンダムSEED X ASTRAY
機動戦士ガンダムSEED C.E.73 STARGAZER
劇場版 機動戦士ガンダム00 -A wakening of the Trailblazer-
Not enough variety in the cast list in terms of release dates, and the Seed overload taking up a quarter of the roster can fuck itself.
I do like this lil' "Hypothetical Cast Roulette" you've got going with SRC Dungeon, though. It's kinda fun.
Tasuku and Leona are fan-favourites who haven't gotten an upgrade since OG2 and are suffering in utility for it.
Katina and Russel are (finally) competitive with the new Gespensts, so fans want the rest of the Octo Team to share in the upgrade fun.
Yeah, I did the SEED thing on purpose for shits and giggles. Release date variety is something I should probably work on, yeah. I also try to keep it within the realm of 15 series, since I'm not wanting to put up an OE or a Z3 in terms of cast clutter.
>I do like this lil' "Hypothetical Cast Roulette" you've got going with SRC Dungeon, though. It's kinda fun.
Hey, thanks, it's what I'm doing it for--that and boredom, anyway. One of the reasons I'd like for a unit update, too, so I can try tossing in other stuff and have more chances for variety. Since there's only so much I can do with stuff that's actually robots and not Sky Girls or Ultraman or the like.
Well yeah, she's a great pilot. She has "stein" in her name, it's a given. But in the land of pilot-locking there aren't that many great free units any more and the Siegarlion is a sexy, sexy beast.
Tasuku is good in the Type-3 if you really need him in something with more offensive capabilities, I feel he does just fine in the GanDuro while Russel gets the Type-3 with Katina as a sub for soul twinned with Rishu and using his twin spirit to copy Rishu's hilarious offensive capabilities and Rishu to become the tank of tanks.
Just leave him in the Ganduro as of 2nd OG.
Contrary to what many people suggest, in the PS2 games, taking Ryoto out of the Boxer means losing Soul in exchange for some marginal advantage in tanking (kind of irrelevant when Ryoto is unlikely to get hit against most things anyway).
Tasuku does have better Will gains but Will + Kill is cheap in OGS/OGG for what its worth.
>Worrying about minmaxing
>Not just using the pilots you like in the units you like
I gave the Seigerlion a Graviton Rifle and a Hyper Jammer, because it's finisher is so cheap I never had any EN issues.
I actually pair the Siegerlion and GanDuro and have no problems.
Sometimes I swap their pilots for kicks.
I'll be hear to buy you that drink you'll need when hope turns to despair, anon.
Or just to be one of the other people who knew the truth, if you're just being sarcastic there.
In other subjects, the next time I put together another fake cast list, I was maybe aiming for another attempt at trying to give the list a theme. Besides the obvious ones like Daitarn, Zambot, Aquarion, and Gundam X and Turn A, what are some mecha that have the sun and/or moon play an important element somehow?
>Vanishing Sword has a DK
>Genocide Burning has a recolored version of stuff from attacks like Blaster Voltekka and Fierce Meioh.
>>Genocide Burning has a recolored version of stuff from attacks like Blaster Voltekka and Fierce Meioh.
A lot of the animations in SRW J are reused.
The background and map used for this thing's first attack on this video is used for several attacks.
Genocide Burning's thing a bit more notable since those two things in particular only show up on Blaster Blade and Great Zeorymer instead of the generic earthquake and rocks thing that they used in the MAP.
to be fair i don't think any player units had barrier pierce in J.
although W had a lot of units with barrier pierce and Volfogg's melting siren even disabled barrier type abilities for the rest of the turn of a effected unit.
Going from what I said above, trying to put together a cast list with a sun/moon theme.
Minus Wrong Tetsujin, this is all coming from a document in SRC (is there some other place I can go for a repository of random mecha names to copy-paste, I wonder), and it's clearly too small a list. Wonder what else could be put in.
Fairly certain that's it, isn't it? Guy named Souma pilots it, has a mecha just bursting with Kanji for the name (see pic), involves yuri-Yandere-induced betrayal at some point in the plot?
Aside from the high dodge rates on some of the bosses that made it so that you pretty much needed to only use people with Strike or Attune for attacking them because Focus wouldn't be enough, especially not when their Prevail activated.
That's why the best way to spend your bonus PP is to dump it on hit.
Otherwise, you get an Alpha Gaiden scenario where you need Strike to hit any endgame real mook for most people.
Coustwell + Katia also gives you what's basically akin to the proped up version of the vanilla Coustwell's finisher on Brachium.
But that's generally Katia's gimmick in the first place.
Who's this semen demon?
If we get it, you can be sure it's a late game secret. Damn shame, since I normally used Vorlent for Calvina.
Also, I really hope they give us the GC, and J upgrades around stage 38-40 so I can use them for a decent while.
>TF: Touya, I'm alive and I brought this sweet ride with me!
>TF: "Cough" Oh no, the space cancer finally caught up with me. Touya mi boy, take this Raftclans and make me proud.
T: B-but it's kind of lame...
C:I want it.
TF: Sure, you big breasted goddess.
TF: You had your chance.
Yes,thats the series. But, The Priestesses have their own robot, Ame No Murakumo, which is hidden under a shrine on the moon. They have titles Solar Priestess(Himeko) and Lunar Priestess(Chikane).
Yup. The first time I ever played J, in 2007, I didn't put enough BP into Hit and ended up a horrible situation.
I take it you're one of those people who doesn't mind hitrates under 100%?
...sure? There's no lower limit, the GONG event is just "the heroes dead friends and loved ones come back to encourage them". Not everyone got someone to chat with even in @3.
No, the cast list is perfectly fine. Pretty good honestly. It's just a very badly designed game with some very useless mechanics that it wants you to think are important.
Also it has Mist which can be a decent thing or a completely horrible thing depending on how much you read into the plots.
Nothing can be changed from how it was, everything must go exactly in order. Such is tradition, such is the unspoken law of SRW.
I can't remember the process exactly, but it was something like (de)compressing the ISO, making it a CSO(?) file or something like that. I remember fixing it a long time ago when I played it, but have long since forgotten it.
You know, I'd never heard of Xardion before now. I imagine it'd work well with Tetsujin 28 (which itself works well enough with Giant Robo, Shin Mazinger, and... when you say Go, do you mean the anime or the manga? Because if it's the anime, that too), but looking at the plot, it's going to need heavy revisions to fit that list.
Other than that, it feels a little... I dunno what the right word for it is. I wouldn't precisely say standard, but it's got a lot of series that clump together, like the fact that seven of them are Gundams and five of those are SEED, the Dynapro ones (or former Dynapro in the case of Liger), the Obari ones, and the old time series being remade into a new era ones.
Hexamoon Guardians hasn't been mentioned, it probably should be. Getter Robo G had that thing at the end of its manga with the sun.
one of FIRST's OGs sort of, but that totally doesn't count
I'm assuming it's the anime I'm taking from in this case, whichever version I'm swiping straight from SRC Dungeon. I dunno how to verify unless the manga and anime have a vastly different release date or some such.
Again, the SEED thing was on purpose for the hell of it, because it would have gotten a humorous reaction for that much of it to potentially be in the same game.
As for the right word...perhaps you're looking for "safe?" aside from Xardion (what's it about, since you looked it up?), Getter Go and the Tetsujin remake, there's little new to the game, and probably little that requires a lot of plot manipulation? Just throwing things out there.
My next attempts will probably start being more outlandish and using some the obscure stuff from manga and games that nobody has heard of, like SOME-LINE.
That and another attempt at a theme involving government and law enforcement. Got Patlabor and J-Decker set aside for that one.
>government and law enforcement. Got Patlabor and J-Decker set aside for that one.
Get Might Gaine too. The Brave Express works with the police, although we only see them actually catch criminals onscreen... two times, I think?
And one time was literally ripped from the other - the first episode - except IN THE WILD WEST!, it was the silliest thing.
If you've got the time and boredom to discuss this stuff with me, I got no problem duct-taping a prototype list together.
15...that's always around the point where I start to think much more would equal serious bloating, so here we go.
I always thought it'd be great if Exkaiser got in SRW, not just because I love Dragon Kaiser, but because you can literally do almost anything with the series, because there's really no "plot"
I'd love nothing more than to see Neo Zeon try to drop Axis again only for Dinogeist to hoist it away
