There is a bit in one of the greco radios where Barara's VA talks about how different Tomino is from other directors with voice acting. Though that is probably in part due to the mandatory pussy checks for lickability

I find it interesting how in turn a, the voice acting directing is different from most other anime. People don't always directly answer each other, you'll often hear people making remarks from the sideline and such.
It's very non stereotypical for anime standards.
