It's unique to JP, but basically, the more you fail to roll a 5* on a banner that's not one-time (Beginner/Lucky) or the Daily draw, the more likely you are to get a 5* on the next draw, and it resets after you get a 5*. The increase isn't THAT high, but if you bomb, say, six consecutive draws and do an 11 your chances are much higher than normal. Hell, I bombed 12 consecutive draws and pulled TWO 5* items on the next 11x, one of which was an SSB, and the other was an AoE heal. I have not taken Arc and Refia off my team since. Yeah, mythril-hoarding is a pretty good idea. 3SSB Celebration should be late-March. The first banner has Bartz, Lightning, and Aeris' SSBs on it, and one of the other double-rate items is a Thyrus, but knowing Global they'll throw the non-SSB items around at random to force people to drop money/mythril on multiple banners. Those dickheads. I really hope Thyrus at least stays on banner 1. God Gundam as well had it's kill requirement(?) changed from 30 to 35.

Oogami's Kohbu now requires you to attach a pilot as a partner before you can summon them in the menu, and Leni and Soletta from the series have their machine's named differently, from Kohbu to Eisencrait(?), Ultra Magnus had some kind of barrier-related bug worked on...

Z2-1? Really? It's the first half of a game stretched out over 50 stages with absolute ass for enemy density and a fucking terrible level progression.

In set-level games, Stage Number+3-5 (3 if the game runs over 60 stages, 5 if it's 59-60) should be the standard and should be held from start to finish instead of petering out FOR NO REASON in the last half-dozen stages like what Z1 did.

It is the first game in the franchise where you can get every secret on a first run that doesn't accomplish that by having absolutely fucking nothing secrets-wise (like Neo or Z2) or by having no route splits (like GC)

It expands the MP system from UX, taking something that was exclusive to certain units with certain abilities and making it into its own proper bar, and fixing some of its issues at the same time.

Its menus are better than UX. Especially the Pairs menu, the way it works in BX is like ten times better than "oh, you didn't realize that unit you had paired in the far back (because you're never going to deploy it) is getting force deployed? Well, fuck you too!" and it's straight lines instead of that jaggedy thing.

It continued expansion on a couple of other systems that L and UX had, like the skill point system, and brought back the old days of Friendship bonuses with the Inspire system (which is broken as fuck, but it's a new system and they tend to be so eh.)


It's not as good as UX overall, but it's certainly not bad, and it did enough overall to expand on the old systems to work.
