What are some /m/ shows excluding g gundam that have both giant robots and martial arts?
>>13800239
>g gundam
giant robo
>>13800239
It's not so much martial arts as it is punching the shit out of things, but Big O was very fisticuffs.
I'm afraid you may have to watch some Sentai friend. They have both of those things and more.
Dairanger is totes up your alley. There's a fucking drunken boxing ranger on the team! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ?!

Their robot is pure sex and they have the most styling rollcall. The series has a chinese martial arts motif to it, and has some awesome choreography.
>>13800254
Yeah and he gets the least screentime out of everyone on the team
It's lacking on the giant robots bit asides from one or two aspects, but Symphogear has some good martial arts and some gunkata thrown in.
Also Dancouga technically thanks to Ryo.
If you want /m/ stuff with martial arts you're kinda shit outta luck since pretty much every time it happens the martial arts suck. Or if they don't, like Dendoh, they usually get replaced with stock footage or weapons anyway.
Toku is the closest you'll get and I would've posted a Kabuto webm here but I don't have any readily available.
Obvious answer is obvious.
>>13800239
The getter pilots each used a different martial arts, but they didn't really do anything with it.
Tae-Kwon-V was a Tae Kwon Do mech.
>>13800324
>That animation
>>13800427
But it's a still image.
>>13800446
Maybe he's referring to GX as a whole.
Godannar? Kind of?

>>13800324
>>13800324
>>13800367
>/m/
>>13800496
Not this shit again
>>13800239
Symphogear season one. To a lesser extent, season two. Don't watch season three, as it was shit.
>>13800830
He's right you know
>>13800239
To an extent, Daimos. Incidentally, Shidoni came back from the depths of ninjaville to get the project for it back on track again.
>>13800496
>>13800846
Not every toku show can be X Bomber, though.
>>13800846
Explain to me how
>>13800262
>>13800367
aren't fictional depictions of giant robots.
>>13800876
ASIMO (2000) at the Expo 2005, a bipedal humanoid robot.
Articulated welding robots used in a factory, a type of industrial robot.
The quadrupedal military robot Cheetah, an evolution of BigDog (pictured), was clocked as the world's fastest legged robot in 2012, beating the record set by an MIT bipedal robot in 1989.[1]
A robot is a mechanical or virtual artificial agent, usually an electro-mechanical machine that is guided by a computer program or electronic circuitry. Robots can be autonomous or semi-autonomous
Those are made out of magic and thus not robots
I haven't watched Gorg, but I hear it's very punch happy
Red Baron & Machine Robo had mecha martial arts.
>>13800968
It's less martial arts and more King Kong.
>>13801003
As far as I know, Red Baron's only proper release is this: http://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=454196
>>13800954
Nice Wikipedia, retard. I can do that too.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.U.R.
>The play begins in a factory that makes artificial people, called roboti (robots), out of synthetic organic matter.
>>13800830
>>13800876
>016.M3
>processing intentional logical fallacies
>>13800262
>>13800342
I meant more along the lines of anime since toku usually has a lot of martial arts but these are still good suggestions thank you anons.
>>13801046
You forgot to mention the most important bit about R.U.R.
It's also the play that coined the term robot.
So anyone who says that the definition of a robot doesn't include anything organic is a blithering retard.
>>13801452
the first fucking reply.
Giant Robo, also directed by Imagawa.
Are you a newfag?
>>13800239
Try Gekiranger.
>>13800968
Well, it's not. At all.
Literally every Imagawa show. Giant Robo in particular.
You know, as a lover of /m/ and CQC, it always seemed to me that these two are kinda philosophically mutually exclusive.
Mecha is the logical evolution of firearms, which made CQC obsolete, so there really is little reason for robots to punch each other other than desperation or
>it_looks_cool.exe
The closest we get is about this I suppose
>>13802342
>Ultraseven
...opposed to, you know, Leo?
>>13802342
every single ultraman there ever has been has literally the worst martial arts ive ever seen
>>13801046
I believe the Evangelions are robots but not mecha.
>>13802408
I don't have Leo gifs or webms
>>13802452
Kinda my point here, fella
>>13802462
We go by the jap definition of mecha here, with includes things like robots, so Evas are mecha
>>13801636
Not even a nearly century-old Czech play can make Evas robots.
>>13802663
They have mechanical shit on them and are therefore /m/
>>13800239
Sadly, there is literally nothing like G Gundam. It's one of a kind.
>>13802663
If Kamen Rider is /m/, Evas are
>>13802462
This is some of the most retarded shit I've read all month.
>>13802856
But kamen rider isnt /m/
Tokukatsu enthusiasts or tokuFAGS as I like to call them need to leave this board immediately and never return
>>13803566
Why can't we admit bio-mechs are still mechs? After all, if it has mechanical parts and an analogue interface, it's still a controlled robot.
>Only one mention of Giant Robo
/m/ was a mistake
>>13803566
This meme isn't funny anymore
>>13800324
yeah and infinite stratos is lacking on martial arts but o'd recommend it too 10/10 OP should watch
>>13801641
I've watched giant robo and my time on this board is not relevant to the fact I asked /m/ about karate robots. I didn't know asking about types of shows relevant to the board was bad now.
>>13803574
>/m/ was a mistake
It can be redeemed if we rid ourselves of the vermin that are space rats.
