>List of subbed series:
>Super Hero Time OSTs:
>DO NOT MAKE NEW GENERALS WHEN IT IMMEDIATELY REACHES BUMP LIMIT. WAIT TILL IT GETS TO PAGE 6 TO MAKE A NEW GENERAL!!!! MOD RULES!
>You'll never tussle Lion's dreadlocks or stroke Tiger's ears while they both purr
Second for the possible glorious return of bloodthirsty villains. No seriously, almost none of the main villains sound remotely sympathetic from their descriptions, although the jury is out on Nalia.
>you will never pull on Tiger's tail to bully her
I must be crazy. We're people this hyped for Ninninger? I remember people being happy with the preview material, but not like this.
I wouldn't blame anyone for being sucked into the hype marketing machine.
>Tarzan yell each time they come on screen
Like that Shinkenger's drum roll to announce their arrival, that shit was the cash. And the bad guys be like, "Who da hell are you senpaitachi"?
There is one reason for concern; the producer for the show has been booted out of the Precure franchise after Happiness Charge. This may be his last chance not to screw up (on another anniversary show, at that).
That EAGLE, SHARK, LION, ELEPHANT, TIGER part is amazing each time I hear it. Might be because how the drum is in-sync with how the song is sung. Each word is accompanied by a drum. Damn son!
Amazing! Btw, do you think the full OP actually has all the members mentioned? I mean like WOLF, PENGUIN or something. What do you guys think? Ninninger's opening narration included Star Ninger so I'm wondering if.
Count me in, update me.
Anyway, if the villains are aliens that means their base might be floating somewhere in space like Zangyack! Or in another dimension on Earth, who knows, like the Org in Gaoranger.
>Or in another dimension on Earth, who knows, like the Org in Gaoranger.
Or the Vyram, which are the Deathgaliens' closest equivalents.
It's like the five stages of grief, but in reverse.
The last thing this general needs is an anniversary series that's lacking.
The show gave lots of focus to the blue Cure for the first half, people often even talked about her being the actual main character, but at the halfway point of the show she was suddenly shafted out of the spotlight, and even the conclusion of her story was basically a footnote.
There was also a possible love triangle involved the pink and blue cures and a male secondary character, but it got pretty much shelved aside halfway through too without a proper conclusion (with an episode ending with a character telling her that what she was feeling probably isn't really love. She shows some doubt at the end, but then it's just all completely forgotten from that point and on and never mentioned at all again)
The purple Cure had a subplot focused on her sister that received a proper conclusion, but that made her completely irrelevant in the last fourth of the show.
The yellow Cure pretty much got no development at all, although she did have a subplot with proper conclusion, but it started very late.
The final battle was Pink Cure-only. Also, although it was Cure's first big anniversary season, the only anniversary related element were episode introductions by past Cures. Even though in that show there were many other Cures around the world, they couldn't even make any those based on past Cures or anything.
>tfw white is a generic pretty girl
I want my fugly imouto back.
I haven't been noticing that too much, or at least I'm currently not. The only thing I've noticed is that in a few instances, the subs for longer lines of dialogue would cut away early while they're still talking.
>the subs for longer lines of dialogue would cut away early while they're still talking.
It seems that they snapped all the lines to scene transitions. So if a line would bleed over into the next scene it's set to end at the scene transition instead. That's why those longer lines are getting cut short.
At least from what I've observed.
I dunno. Some guy would always post some picture of Sakamoto with the filename Koichi "Beer Can" Sakamoto. Pretty sure it's a reference to Dan "Insert Vaguely Pedophilia Phrase Here" Schneider.
I feel privileged to have been born in the same year as these hotties, even as a straight guy I can't deny Hikari. It's hard to believe that these two are younger than me even if it is by a couple of months, I still remember getting into Gokaiger as if it was yesterday.
I guess I'll inevitably feel like you in a few years time. Oh well, I've had a good innings.
I'm actually talking about Hiroaki Shibata. Granted, Zyuohger will have several producers, so that's not any less confusing.
>Motoi Sasaki (TV Asahi)
>Chihiro Inoue (TV Asahi)
>Hiroaki Shibata (Toei)
>Kōichi Yada (Toei Agency)
>Akihiro Fukada (Toei Agency)
I wish they'd at least wait until the DVDs ship.
Oh and have fun everyone that's not in Region 1, hope you downloaded the release already or can find it elsewhere.
Not that much, I'd suppose. I just hope those pansy higher-ups don't drag things down too much.
With any luck, people will accept this when the show starts getting subbed.
>I just hope those pansy higher-ups don't drag things down too much.
Yeah me too. This might just be me trying to find an excuse to forgive Shimoyama, but I really feel like there was a lot of producer meddling in Ninninger. It would at least explain a lot of the seemingly arbitrary changes and dropped plot points
I say wait until the C&D, or at least until there's a concrete release date. I remember some anime groups would take down release that ADV had licensed but years went by and they never released it.
So, whatever, it's their prerogative, but especially for people outside R1 this doesn't really make the series any more accessible.
I think there's a difference between something being licensed and a physical release being announced. It's pretty clear that shout has licensed several sentai series at this point. Even before that though, Disney technically had the US rights, but sold them to Saban....
That's also part of why I think this is so silly. They are already breaking the law since Saban has the rights in most of the world. Not to mention they are breaking the law by distributing the show for free in such a way that even Japanese people could download and watch. It just seems completely arbitrary to me, or rather it seems done more out of fear than respect, because now they are distributing the exact same material as what a western licensee is distributing.
Well SgtKira isn't around to take it down...
So in the future, who will watch all these (if we take the fact they will release all Sentais) if not us? I mean, the newer generation won't even bother and the ones who will be watching are us, white-haired old men sitting on his couch.
I dunno, there are kids who will find and pick up "Godzilla's Revenge". Cult followings die hard, but I guess the thing is to sorta find out what exactly the "cult" follows. These are like 18 hour television shows, not just a 90 minute movie you pop on for fun. There's a barrier of entry there that might be hard to break through.
I assumed this to be the case as well. Super Hero Taisen, on the other hand, I could believe being more due to the Avengers, especially given that it released very shortly before the first Avengers film.
So Toei is producing a circus type stage play called Paranoia Circus featuring past Sentai and KR alumni.
>They're the main reason the Ohranger crossovers are held up.
They're only doing Ohranger vs Carranger. Kakuranger is on us. We're looking at a summer release for that when things get less busy for us.
>That fucking song
>The voice of the toys
>Suits, action and overall design.
Now if only the characters had a little more personality I'd be shitting in joy.
Dynaman will be before summer. You'll get a batch of 9 or so when it's ready.
It looks significantly better, but the inconsistency would bug the shit out of me if that's the final cover.
Does anyone know any sites where I can read cool trivia about toku actors? Like referances to other roles they did in other shows? Or maybe the kinds of characters they have played as? Suit actor stuff would be neat as well.
They're going to be uploaded for people to stream. And if it's like their Ultra stuff it'd be free
>The final battle was Pink Cure-only
>mfw this has been happening for 3 years straight
Who is the cutest pink of all time and why is it Ahim?
Some more than others
Pic related, literally Daigo
See the great thing is we can hear that the OP is Anniversary Worthy stuff. Like TOEI understands its time to make some epic shit now lol
I don't think they're going to play safe middle of the road sentai with Zyuohger. When it comes down to their anniversary sentai they have been going for broke especially if you look at bouken and gokai.
The chants sound like they are announcing greatness. Its a jump in quality like the first time we heard the transformation music for gokai or shinkenger.
The way they shout Elephant is so hype like WE HAVE AN ELEPHANT RANGER!
>get into ambulance
is it wrong to like the changer and mechs?
the concept of the changer is cool, a mix of a pixelly cube, a cellphone, and an ancient monolith thing with the rotation teature, its quite unique, outside of the fact that is yet another cellphone.
also the design gimmick of the Juohking forming up automatically from the cube forms of the mechs.
We have our first suit actor information.
Per her Twitter page....Ayumi Shimozono (female Kyoryu Violet) will be the suit actress for ZyouhTiger and Ryoko Gomi will be the suit actress for ZyuohShark.
As long as it isn't in the rump (although that would be funny.
The first series' Cure Black was a Pink before the 5-member concept was even a thing.
>gets more attention than White
>even her parallel/Splash Star self has this tendency
No. The guy is an actual tokusatsu fan and got into sentai years back with Goranger.
ShoutFactory put three of his segments up on their youtube. https://www.youtube.com/user/shoutfactory/videos
I hate when they waste good suit designs until the very end.
>come up with an original Sentai concept that's never been done before.
Ghost is doing it right now so they'd have to wait like 4 or 5 years but a horror theme Sentai would be nice
I've been wanting Greeedenger for years so I don't mind one bit.
Robo theme Sentai! Sort of like Megaranger but not in a video game this time. Also, the rangers all died once but are now kaizo-ningened back to life and become heroes. The comedy and drama revolves around them adjusting to their new bodies.
6th is gonna be a T Rex, screen shot this
Uva is best greed and all he wanted was to help his friends
Only way this series could be saved is if Eiji rocked up as OOOs
I think you mean Kiva which did it a few years ago. I wouldn't mind that actually
6th could be a Grim Reaper.
Extra zords could be witch, Creature from the black lagoon, alien etc.
The grunts could be zombies.
What could the mechs be? I assume they'd each get flying carpets/surfers
IT'S HAPPENING AGAAAAAIN
>implying Yiffranger won't be the legit best show in years
Gimmick could be the weapons are attached to their bodies.
Rather than piloting mecha, they download their conciousness.
That was Toqger.
They have to use different ingrediants for different attacks represented by disks they slot into their bracers.
First mech is "Gattai Easy Bake-King"
Not really, the power ranger terms are just less generic for me.
The shows are generic but the terms aren't. You say megazord and everyone knows what you're talking about. You say mecha and it could mean thousands of things.
Plus what am I meant to call a battlizer?
Toqger has been one of the only shows I've genuinely laughed at in years due to the humour.
It's less autistic than Toei spending money to dub every power rangers show in japanese.
You can only do dinos for so long until you get FOXY.
The kaijin could be food stuffs that the rangers prepare with their finishers.
But if I wasn't here this thread would be dead while all the sentai would be on /krg/ like usual.
And this is my point about the terms being generic.
Then this really would be Yiffenger. 60% of furries fantasize about fox cocks.
I only watch british and japanese series. Both have gotten dull. The Hero Yoshihiko only really had the first episode going for it and you could replace sentai for anything in akibaranger. At least america has "it's always sunny"
My point is more talk about sentai goes on at /krg/ than here. All /ssg/ does is post pictures of japanese actresses and calling them waifus at all points of the day.
Am I ruining your secret club because I called a robot a megazord?
I'll try those out.
>All /ssg/ does is post pictures of japanese actresses and calling them waifus at all points of the day.
Not true at all. And honestly that is much better than the "off topic" posting /krg/ does.
I would totally let Akira be my big guy. No homo.
you are literally the worst poster in this thread. you can't even conform to our simple conventions. this is not tumblr, you are not a special snowflake, we will not cater to you so just GTFO.
"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FUCKING GET OUT AND GO BACK TO TUMBLR!"
Just just cause I say battleizaer doesn't make me a rabbitkin black trigender feminist hambeast.
You don't seem to get the joke now do you? I'm pretending to be like NihonNeon because people said I was searching for attention.
Me too anon.
I miss them too.
>Z never got a proper closure to his character arc, or at least not one that ended on a positive note
He got a good sendoff on the final live tour
>Yami Sentai Darkman
>team consists of former members of an evil organization that defected to humanity because reasons
>MOTWs are their former comrades that are sent on orders to kill them or try and recruit them back
>mechs are a spider, moth, tortoise, centipede. and scorpion
>sixth ranger is a commander in the organization that realizes how corrupt they really are thanks to the rangers
I'm a writer, Jim, not a toy designer.
We could have an Akira esque plot where they learn about the human world and how to love everyone.
I think this could do well to have unconventional, darker, colours like maroon, indigo, orange; ivy etc..
Their final mechs could be magistic animals you usually have as sentai animals.
I'd replace tortoise because there have been a few good main ones like shinkenpink.
The gimmick could be something lik they can mix and match parts of their weapons that look like monsters
That guy talking about foxes reminded me that Leicester City is at the top of the Premier League, which in turn made me think of a Premier League sentai.
Light blue Man City
Sixth ranger: Whatever the fuck you call West Ham's color combination
The latter. I know Ohranger already did a pyramid mecha but I want to see rainbow Pharaohs. Basically Tutankhamun Specter but as a Sentai.
Life Force Foreverman:
The team would consist of four immortals that are trying to stop an "evil" organization from turning all of humanity into immortals.
Their mechs would be mythological creatures (with Red being a Phoenix).
The sixth would be an android whose dream is to be human.
So Mummies Alive?
Horizon Sentai Frontier Five, Wild West themed series
A miracle has graced the Earth as the lost continent Lemuria has resurfaced after eons in the aether and upon this mystic land, youths with their hearts filled with desires and dreams seek to lay claim to the mysterious hidden world.
Merry Sentai Holidayger
A gimmick sentai that only has episodes on holidays.
Yellow New Years
Green April Fool
The 6th and 7th could be a duo Mother and Fathers day couple.
I'm asking usually, I don't watch many sentai with green rangers cause the colour scheme makes me sick.
I thought of it 2 seconds ago while watching toqgers christmas episode
the fuck is this shit.
>Hey Beavis. That mech's name is Titanus.
>Heh heh heh...Tit-anus.
Welp, the toys this season suck. The changer is the the only thing that's pretty cool, reminds me of the Boukenger's changer for some odd reason.
Also, no collectible gimmicks this season. Nothing but the changer and the mechs, like an early heisei Sentai. Wow, that means the show will actually have to stand on its own merit. Last show that did that was Go-Bus and look how that turned out.
>We'll never get Extinction Sentai Debossranger
I think I mentioned this once before, but I'd like to see a Super Sentai where they have actual limited transformations. Here's the general idea; all the changers run on the token collectible transformation gimmick, like a gemstone or something, but each one is only good for one use and is burned up afterwards. Moreover, the gems are extremely limited and even the heroes only have a few on hand, and must therefore budget them.
The main draw is that not every member of the team will be able to transform every episode, most of the time only one of the would while everyone else has to make due with field gear and their weapons like what the Go-Busters or Gokaigers did when out of suit. They could potentially earn one more gem each time they defeat a MOTW, but only a suited ranger can defeat an actual MOTW due to their strength, so gems must be balanced and collected carefully. Part of the appeal would be seeing who gets to transform each week, if they will at all, how they'll fight out of suit in order to compensate, etc. The sixth would be someone with a gem that doesn't burn out after use, but needs to be recharged instead and takes a long time to do so, so he doesn't break the balance.
They tried having a Rider who had a limited number of transformations before, but backed off of that pretty hard in the end.
>Backed off of that pretty hard
He was erased from existance in the end after getting the final form. That's not backing off pretty hard, they stuck to the consequences fair and square.
Yeah MEGA finally got around to enforcing their data caps, and seeing as I'm 2000% over, I'm finding it best to just leave everything be. Let them DMCA my ass if they want to. I'll be flattered. I might make another folder for the newer stuff, but that'll be when I have some free time.
