> McGillis's mask is a metaphor for the overarching theme of this episode—that nobody is who they seem, even if you may feel like you know them very well.
> McGillis's mask has no deeper meaning or reason than he needed a disguise and wanted to go for as ostentatious a one as possible so no-one would see or remember his face, only the mask
Gaelio: What's with that mask Macky?
Mcgillis: Well you see it is a metaphor for the things that i imagine are happening around us—cut to shot of fumitan, biscuit's brother— that nobody is who they seem, even if you may feel like you know them very well.
The funny part is that those subs completely fucking mangle the subtext so it comes off as absolute nonsense anyway.
I really hope we get more Macky for the rest of the series. He's the only guy that's fun to watch in a non homolust way.
