Like yeah, artificial moons have been done a bunch and Kadingir is a riff on the tower of Babel but when the first Wild Arms had ancient aliens hanging out on an artificial moon and there was this hidden rainbow tower Ka Dingel that led to said moon you know Kaneko's thinking more about Wild Arms right now than other things.

Probably not, actually. Anime sales do not directly equate to merchandise sales, and even if they did have a full line of gear figures, there's no guarantee that they would sell enough to warrant taking the time away from pushing out kantai and other series that are guaranteed to sell far better.

Also, GSC only stopped funding them, it's still possible for them to have merchandise made, those biking outfits being one example.

Just because an anime sells well, doesn't mean its merchandise will sell at all. GSC is a company that is as big as it is today, because it's exceedingly efficient at keeping track of market trends, and other factors that tend to escape armchair salesmen.
