I'd imagine that gjallerhorn doesn't have as many mobile suits as they say, or else they'd be deploying a lot more against an enemy with a gundam type. I think mobile suits are kind of a rarity in PD due to cost, and hence mobile workers are the norm in mechanized combat.

At this point, I'm really missing some 00-level exposition where someone explains the relationship between the four blocs and Gjallarhorn. As far as I can tell, Gjallarhorn sits above the blocs, but doesn't rule them per se...

Seeing as Graze Kai was Tekkadan's handiwork, and this is McGillis' new machine from Gjallarhorn, I think it's safe to say that it's not a modified Graze Kai.

Kudelia organizing that July assembly is supposed to be what made Earth finally take notice of the mars situation and one of the power bloc leaders secretly contacted her to request a meeting. I assume they don't do it through the same method he used to contact her because it is supposed to take a long time for messages to travel between Earth and mars due to ahab particle interferance or something and messages could take days to weeks to reach the other person. A face to face meeting is much better and more effective.
