More pictures of cute riders doing cute things, plz.
Fourze gives good feels.
Yeah, and it somehow managed to sell the whole "just do your best, and that's good enough" cliche. I enjoyed Fourze.
this is so hard to watch. why is garren being like this?
Garren was always kind of a loser.
Nope, I just assumed the Gurren Lagann guy just likes writing about the power of friendship and goofy but lovable airheads in general. What's the backstory?
I was rooting through most of Fourze wanting him to join the KRC.
And then had my heart broken when it was a ruse and he died a traitorous faggot regardless
It hurts because Garren is one of my favorite Secondaries.
Do you think the Mario Maker costume will be available over here?
I mean, they put more obscure shit in the game.
Overall, I mean.
Fourze Cosmic states had trouble against the Akumaizers, whereas Wizard Flame Dragon was able to hold all three of them off easily.
Even if you chalk that up to "Current Rider perk", I've never seen an ultimate form outclassed by a non-ultimate form like that. That'd be like if Agito Trinity outfought Kuuga Ultimate, or if Drive Type-Formula was stronger than Gaim Kiwami.
What do you think Decade does, anyway? Unlike other Riders, he doesn't have a permanent home, profession or primary enemy. Does he just travel from world to world, constantly getting involved in conflicts? Does he ever get breaks or any sort of leisure time? Since he only appears in worlds in which he's needed, does that mean that once he's done with one conflict, he's immediately pulled into another word ad infinitum?
In Kamen Rider War, the dialogue implies that he was starting to get sick of all the constant fighting.
Who is your favorite Kamen Rider tag team or stable?
Who are your Kamen Rider dream tag team or Stable?
That's a pretty depressing existence. At least before, he traveled in the company of friends, but these days, he's always alone. He managed to alienate Kaito enough to the point where he never wants to see Tsukasa again, and who knows what Natsumelon's up to.
Sorry, got carried away and totally forgot to check the thread.
Anyway, Fourze backstory. The show was in it's planning stages during the earthquake of 2011. Japan was pretty devastated, and Toei realized that Fourze was going to be the first post-earthquake Rider show. So, naturally, the concept of Fourze became "a hero that could make everyone smile." I don't wanna go super in depth here because I dunno how much justice I could do it but here's a lot of thought they put into it in terms of making the kids happy again, it's a really touching story. I think it's best if you let the staff do the explaining though. They wrote about it here, it's definitely worth a read.:
In his own series, the smugness was assured self-confidence. I would expect being forced to DIE and then only have two people in the universe who care enough about your memory for you to come back to prevent the entire multiverse from unraveling, really hit his ego hard.
>We could've gotten an older, more grizzled Ghost Rider who simply chose to not revive until recently for some reason and tried to help mature Takeru into being a man like his father
>Instead we got Chase and Kaito's gangly baby
He couldn't tell his brother about the filming of Kamen Rider W because "Toei disallowed it".
I call that complete bullshit.
You do know they actually talked about this in Kamen Rider Taisen, right? He flat out says he's lonely and tired of being alive. Shit, the first time he gets into a fight he seems amused by the idea he may finally get to die.
Dream stable would be Gill, Shin, and Another Agito.
They'd be the most brutal fuckers in the world.
>Hongo has Ichimonji
>Kazami has George
>Keisuke has his granddaughter
>Amazon has his tomodachi
>Kotaro has his adopted family
>Kouji has his girlfriend
>Masaru probably adopted his old boss's kid I'm guessing
>Godai's a traveler but he seems to have friends all over the world
>Shouichi has the Kazaya family
>Shinji doesn't really seem to have much of a home life, but he does have his coworkers
>Hibiki has his friends, coworkers and Asumu
>Tendou has his imoutos and Kagaami
>Ryoutarou has his sisters, Hana and the Imagin
>Wataru has his brother, Kivat, Tatsulot and all his other friends
>Shoutarou has Philip and Akiko
>Eiji's traveling the world but keeps contact with Hina
>Gentaro has a shitton of friends and grows up to be a teacher who befriends all the students
>Kouta has Mai
>Shinnosuke marries Kiriko and has a son in the future
Meanwhile, Joe lost Yuriko, Shin is Shin, Takumi is dead, Kenzaki is an Undead and Tsukasa is fighting forever.
>Amazon not on the team
You fucked up, anon
I CANT STOP CRYING YOU GUYS
Well, if the goal of Fourze was to make something optimistic and fun, they certainly succeeded.
Don't give alcohol to minors or weird jungle people.
It's more like three or four artists dominating in this thread, and a bunch of odd ones.
I don't get people who dress up their cats.
Feel free to talk about whatever you want, sir. Or would you rather just stew in your own anger over there being images on an image board?
It's easier to keep discussion going around something that's ongoing though. Come back five years later after Ghost is old hat and all the supplementary stuff has been released and picked to death, and we'll be more focused on whatever the new series at the time is then too.
Storm Heroes update.
The current shop is themed after secondary riders
New event missions that will net you villians
New 4* - Cosmic Fourze
So what role do you think the new Rider 1 suit's gonna play? Because I doubt they're gonna keep it. It'd look really awkward in future films when he's next to Rider 2.
gonna be a new person? Is Hongo gonna pass his powers onto someone else somehow?I don't know how I'd feel about that. It'd be kind of lame, and pointless in a franchise like Kamen Rider.
Ha! someone made the gif so that it follows him.
W actually, and I've gone back and watched everything thats been subbed
so thanks for playing
if you're so fed up with ghost talk why don't you try to start discussion with something else?
Why does Shocker use these kinds of grunts? I understand that there's the nostalgia factor but seriously, how cheap do you have to be to gather a bunch of nobodies, dress them up in cheap tights and arm them with nothing but kukris? These guys have the technology to create the DecaDriver, DienDriver, a giant space ship, the Mega-Reverse Machine, and Masked Riders 3 and 4, yet their mooks are a bunch of random nobodies in tights.
At least steal some of the mass-produced Rider technology, or Masquerade Memories from other shows. An army of RioTroopers and Kurokages would be better than this.
Most of the time they mess around with having something fancy like a Rider it bites them in the ass, and the fancier monsters don't fare much better than the skeleton henchmen.
Just be glad the old mime costumes didn't really catch on.
My favorite tag team has been Fourze/Wizard for a while now. I haven't watched either of their shows yet, but they have an amusing dynamic in the crossover films and stage show clips I've seen (I admit, I hoard fanart of them having shenanigans).
You die tomorrow.
But as your consciousness fades Krim Steinbelt's cyber ghost appears to you.
He can save your life by transferring your mind into an android. This androids outer form will be randomized from Krim's data base of former and current Rider and Monsters.
Go to http://kamenrider.wikia.com/wiki/Kamen_Rider_Wiki and click "random page"
Post the image or link to the first Rider or Monster you get.
This will be the form you live your daily life in from now on.
**The system Krim is using can not replicate human features so no human characters.
Shocker grunt have been modified but not to the point of say Kamen Rider or the Kaijin.
It's a quantity over quality thing. A large army of grunts can easily enslave the world. That is if Kamen Riders were out of the way.
Episode 4 of Wizard, this fucking Cat Sidhe Phantom is fucking amazing.
If the rest of this show is anything near as good as it's been for the first 4 episodes, I don't understand how anyone could dislike it.
Great Suits, Great fights, nice sound design, the Underworld concept is cool, I like that his bike-addon dragon actively rampages and doesn't want to listen to him (makes more sense than fucking Pirate Captain Ghost Iguana), Haruto actually seems to have a distinct character (kind of full of himself and smug, but knows what to do) and lots of the side characters are funny and great. (I know Cat Sidhe is going to die, but Pheonix seems likeable too). Even the girls seem cute (physically at least) and the Medusa suit is qt.
Only problems I see so far are Shunpei, and knowing its a 54 episode show.
Fuck I got Mirage Agito user.
Gonna be hard to sleep with all them damn blades.
>oh no im some fuck ugly kaijin
>has shapeshifting powers
i can live with this
"He is yet another incarnation of the Great Leader."
Ill take that.
Takes 8 riders and a hydrogen bomb explosion to take me down.
All the Fourze talk recently made me want to watch it again. For some reason, I didn't like it very much when it first aired. I thought everyone was annoying, the opening theme was awful, and the designs of Fourze himself really put me off. Wasn't really feeling the highschool or "friendship is power!" themes, either.
Maybe it was a phase I was going through, because after having watched every single other Heisei series and a fair share of Showa, I really enjoyed the first few episodes. Maybe I'm just less cynical than I used to be and ready to have some fun.
I really enjoy Fourze but the pacing gets super weird in the second half of the show and it feels at one point like they kind of ran out of ideas to stretch out before the finale.
Funnily enough, watching Fourze as it aired turned me off of toku for nearly 3 years. I didn't even start up Wizard because Fourze made me so mad though I don't even understand why. It could have something to do with the fact that while Fourze was airing and I was watching it weekly I was also catching up on other stuff like watching Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki and Blade all for the first time.
But I literally just finished my first rewatch of Fourze and I absolutely loved it this time.
>they kind of ran out of ideas to stretch out before the finale.
I personally think the final 10 or so eps of Fourze were great. You had the Virgo reveal, Gemini Yuuki, Kengo's star child destiny and they brought back one of the cutest girls on the show to be Pisces which kinda plays backseat to Garren teasing a turn but that too was great..
>If the rest of this show is anything near as good as it's been for the first 4 episodes, I don't understand how anyone could dislike it.
That's the thing, it's not. You will see it slowly go down the drain with the introduction of Flame Dragon.
>Underworld is barely used because budget.
>Dragon is used up until he gets all the Dragon forms and then
they just become best friends forever
>Haruto's cockiness and playfulness disappears almost instantly while he gets more character in the movies than he does his own show, and instead he turns into a character who can only talk about being everyone's hope and that's where it ends
He will have some scenes spread throughout the series where he has a personality, but it's strictly relegated to that scene and that scene only. He also makes unbelievable stupid decisions during the last three or four episodes.
>The biggest twist in the show was seen 30+ episodes prior as a joke.
>Watch as they put heavy emphasis on Koyomi for everything story related but they never give her any scenes nor is she allowed to be an enjoyable character outside of one scene in episode 32.
>Every Phantom will proceed to make themselves known to their target, sometimes literally go "Ooga booga boo, I'm going to kill you so you should despair now"
>Haruto is forced to just not chase after the enemies in the first part and lets them get away more often than not.
Supper Tatoba got out classes by super rocket
Physically fourze is the weakest but he more than makes up for it in utility
Besides his power tends to fluctuate depending on the intensity of his bonds overfilling him with cosmic energy
In addition the specific Fourze your talking about was rusty he hadn't been Fourze for FIVE YEARS
he's not like the Showa riders who just fucked off to fight evil in other contries to keep himself in shape he was a school teacher
If JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has taught me anything, it's that time stopping can make anyone overpowered, assuming there's no time limit or someone with the same ability to stop you.
I-i-I kept getting random female victims of the day until I finally ended up with Bee Ganma
I guess Krim just wants me to end up as a pretty frilly feminine girl
the man knows me to well thanks professor!
>They make it clear that Drive can create slowdown just like roidmudes can
>He never uses this ability even once in the whole show
Capital bullshit. I know it wouldn't really work on an enemy roidmude, but that was such a huge Chekhov's gun that I thought they were just waiting for a chance to horn that in somewhere.
Just off that top of my head, here's an idea:
>Oh no a roidmude blasted a building and some rubble is going to crush innocent people
>Oh no I won't get there in time, I have no choice I must use slowdown
>Belto-san: Shinnosuke no slowdown is bad it's for badguys
>But I must
And then he does it saves the people but is morally conflicted about it for an episode, until he's fine with it and never uses it again.
He willingly gives away Infinity to Mayu knowing she'll give it to Fueki, a ring that he knows Fueki wants and is scared of and required Koyomi to die to spawn for him. He was about to sacrifice all three of his mage friends without asking them, himself, and all the people of Tokyo until Fueki outright told him this is what was going to happen and he had a flashback to him turning into Wizard and finding Koyomi. Nitou was the only reason it didn't succeed.
Those are the ones that stand out. There's also
Fueki being able to create an artificial Phantom for no reason that he can turn into that doesn't sap your mana or anything and you can control it, but he couldn't make one for Koyomi for whatever reason to body hop into.Oh, and Sora wanting to kill Fueki and start a Sabbath to turn human again because apparently having a form separate from your human one(Which still can feel mind you and you can turn into it at will)that is infinitely stronger at keeping you alive and is unable to die short of having a Rider try and kill you is better than a meatbag that will die from a bullet, particularly when your main goal in life is to kill girls to get your rocks off..
yeah right, no one is actually lucky enough around here to get a kamen rider
>Three different forms, plus the basic ability to shapeshift all Roimudes have
>Have the voice of Toshihiko Seki for life
Anon-kun, why are you being such a yatsu, you kisama?
I-I-I find that hard to believe
If that's really what they were going for then I feel like someone in that meeting should have thrown up a red flag
I mean we've had mistranslations before but never more than 1-2 letters!
You can't stop now Anon, you gotta watch the entire series in one sitting.
>Kuuga: Arcle is broken once. Should probably mend itself over time.
>Ryuki: I think a few Advent Decks are destroyed, I don't remember.
>Faiz: Kaixa belt and Psyga belt are destroyed in the movie.
>Decade: DecaDriver was destroyed in one of the movie temporarily.
>Fourze: Fourze Driver is literally thrown into lava.
>Gaim: At least one Sengoku Driver is broken.
>Drive: ALL THE BELTS. NO BELTS ARE SAFE.
But anon, my friend said I should wait for the blurays to get subs.
Belt-san gets broken twice, once when Shinnosuke dies and again in the movie. Chase's belt gets broken, hence why he has to resort of using Mashin Chaser form. Belt-dad gets destroyed by his son. The only belt that never gets broken is Go's.
Post your dream V-Cinema/Rider Gaiden movie that you know will never happen because it's impossible.
>Kamen Rider Fourze Gaiden: Nadeshiko Returns
I hope you lied in at least one of those. Are you some kind of spoilers Yummy?
I'm sorry I deleted it when I realized it didn't have a spoiler tag
I-I-it still has cool fights
They scrapped the original final battle in Movie War Full Throttle as well.
> Uses Street Fighter Third Strike Engine
> Uses visual style of Guilty Gear Xrd
> Can be team or singles battle
> Story for each rider would play out like a Gaiden for that rider
> If it is my dream game all actors return
> Special moves and such would all be from the show
> We go JoJo ASB levels of fan service and homages to the show all over the game and stages
> Alternate story with all riders interacting
> Showa and Hesei included (ESPECIALLY SHIN)
>PS3, PS4, PSVIT and maybe Wii-U if its still around
I haven't got to Kabuto yet. Can this dude do anything cool? Only things I remember seeing about Worms is disguising themselves as people/replacing them and that whole super-speed thing. Purely physically, eh it's a pretty simple monster as far as I can see, those arm things seem like they'd be a pain though,.
I can come up with some sick jokes here but I've always wanted a kind of open world sandbox type game set in a city.
You're a kamen rider surrounded by your supporting characters, coop is available since non-rider support characters and secondary riders exist. You follow a plot HOPEFULLY based on the story of actual shows depending on which rider you choose to play as. But if you dont wanna follow the story you can just run around town and beat up monsters of the in-game day. It would be a 3rd person GTA kinda game but with beat-em-up combat and a comprehensive level/skill system for all of your forms including your human form so you can beat down baddies in your street clothes.
>still no subs
Okay, guys, we need to form a new subbing group to translate Ghost. Clearly, three of them working in parallel isn't enough.
What should we call ourselves? My vote is for "Sub-a-dub-dub".
they ususally lag like fuck after the holidays
Which is pretty stupid because they get two weeks off from kamen rider during this time.
I know you fuckers [subbers] get on /m/ but get all mad when people ask you to hurry the fuck up cuz its free content.
Hurry the fuck up. People have posted so many webm's im just about to watch the raw.
2D fighting game. First game only has the main Heisei Riders as playables, but depending on how successful the game is, future installments will bring in Showa and secondary Riders.
>Kuuga is a very basic, beginner-friendly character who deals good damage and straightforward combos. Mighty Form by default but special moves have him briefly take on the Dragon, Pegasus and Titan Forms. Supers have him temporarily take on the Rising versions. Insta-kill has him transform into Ultimate Form and incinerate his enemy with a tower of fire.
>Agito is more technical than Kuuga. He's strong but has no ranged options. Specials have him temporarily take on Flame and Storm forms, while supers use Burning Form.
>Ryuki is a balanced character. Not too complicated and has a good number of options. A jack-of-all-trades. Dragreder allows for decent zoning.
>Faiz is based around counters, and some of his moves have brief stun capabilities.
>Blade: I dunno yet
>Hibiki uses a stance system.
>Kabuto is very fast and technical but he has short range and low health. The KunaiGun allows for weak ranged attacks, but his strength lies in his speed.
>Den-O's one of the few characters who can actively change forms, not just as attacks. His style changes greatly depending on the form he's in. Sword Form is balanced, Rod Form has good range, Gun Form relies on range and Ax Form is strong but is slow and had short range. Each form has a limited amount of options compared to other Riders, so how effective he is depends on the player's skill and judgment depending on the situation.
>Kiva is an entirely offense-oriented grappler with a wide array of options. He can transform into other forms for damaging combos in different situations, but each transformation takes up a separate meter and he can't stay in those forms for too long (typically only for a combo before he has to recharge). If you completely use up the meter, it needs to refill all the way before Kiva can transform again.
O I love gaki thats different though.
Thats alot of shit to sub.
They did get 1 part of batsu this year in a week which was amazing.
There are 3 groups working on ghost its pretty laughable actually.
>Decade is extremely technical and one of the most difficult to master. He has a large number of options, but how effective he is depends entirely on the skill of the player. He's very balanced, and is basically a jack-of-all-trades, but you have to put a lot of thought into his use if you want him to work.
>W: I dunno
>OOO: The question is how to juggle the sheer number of unique forms he has.
>Fourze: FORTY SWITCHES JESUS CHRIST
>Wizard: I'm thinking he's focused around traps and getting your enemy to into ideal positions. Lots of trickery and mind-games. Probably one of the harder characters to use.
>Gaim is a pure power character. He's designed to hit hard and never relent. Simple and straightforward. He gets in close and keeps hitting until he wins. Consequently, he'd probably be a bit predictable compared to other Riders.
>Drive: Speedy zoner?
>Ghost: I dunno, his show's not even over yet.
Fighting game plot =/= Movie Plot
Ryuki, no contest.
>Tfw my nephew one day tells me he thinks I look like Gentarou
It was because of how I was dressed. Made my day.
Holy shit how is it possible for one thread to have so much shit taste?
It's slowly getting better. It still feels like it has a way to go in my opinion but the characters are improving, the fights are cool, there's a couple story paths going at the moment, and my only real complaint now is rehashing the 99 days plot on top of the garbage Boost form changes since they don't work with that suit at all.
If it helps, I love his Survive form. His base form just bugs me. There's just something about the helmet that looks stunted to me.
>on top of the garbage Boost form changes since they don't work with that suit at all.
Okay, but you have to admit Goemon is pretty stylish for how garish it is.
Actually the chestplate is kind of stunted too. The vents make it look like his ab-armor's compacted into his pecs, which makes his waist look bare in comparison. It just looks weird to me.
>How good are the Amazon subs, is the show worth watching?
They're fine and the show is fun. It's only 20 something episodes but it's a good run. Amazon, Masahiko, his sister, Tachibana, and Mole Beastman are just fantastic.
Definitely getting there, I have a feeling that once it's over it's gonna be one of those 'you have to get past the hump of the early episodes' series. That's mostly my hope speaking though, obviously we'll have to see.
Hopefully they don't play it straight again and something big happens, like the ganma royal's various plotting coming to fruit, to take the focus again and push things forwards.
Get Platinum Games on it, OC Rider following its own general plot with series references, plays like Bayonetta.
Someone needs to take the bit where he mentions using some leftover violin gloss made from crayfish in the food he, Shizuka, Kivat and Tastulot are eating and stick it, along with Shizuka, Kivat and Tatsulots reactions onto the Kamen Rider Spit Take Compilation.
It's more like it just falls out of their mouth and until you mentioned that I didn't even notice it. Not to mention that if you cut it down to gif size you straight up wouldn't see them do it.
Does that mean i'm my own Jobber?
>watching Fourze's movie subbed by T-N instead of OT because seeders
>all these styled subs, fucking numbers and colors everywhere
>Drop it after seeing that they sub "space kita" instead of just "space time"
If i'm watching another language, i'd expect that they actually sub all the words, it happens everytime in anime, it's fucking retarded
I guess they should of bought into the powerball.
Nah, I doubt it. The first teaser poster mentions Hongo fighting for 45 years and now meeting new friends and enemies and that the justice from the past will "power up".
There's nothing indicating a "next generation" kind of thing. Also, I don't know if it'll be a permanent power up, but if they're updating Rider 1, I'd guess we'll see new designs for other early Riders in the next few crossover movies. This movie is supposed to be just part of a "Super Hero Year" project. So, we could even get one or two other updates (Rider 2 and V3) in this year itself. Although I guess they might wait to see the reaction to the movie before going forward with any other new designs,
8 episodes away from the end of Kiva. It's nowhere near as bad as you guys say. I actually enjoy it quite a bit. Unless it really shits the bed in these last few episodes, it's better than W
why do you guys act like T-N is bad when literally every sub group subs "henshin" as "henshin"? oh but you get mad at shit like "kisama-tachi" or throwing a "-chan" in somewhere.
give me a fuckin break
Last time Shocker made multiple Riders, it was the Shocker RIders,a nd they sucked.
The big advantage of the Shocker Combatmen is that even though they've been converted and fucked up to the point they can't consistently and easily speak, they'reprobably the largest population of mook in the franchise. just due to the fact they can be individually made or just slipped into those outfits if they're a fucked up Kaizo Ningen.
Reminds me of that time in Dino Thunder when Tommy got stuck in his ranger form. How the hell did he eat or piss? Does morphing keep you alive and negate your body functions?
It gave me a nightmare.
Play from Hajime's perspective in Blade in the form of an action RPG
Use that one Vine card to swing around like Spider-man
NG+ lets you use Joker form and Wild early on and people have different reactions if you do that instead of regularly transform
Yeah, I think we all did. One of the better moments of the series.
A tactical role-playing game developed by Nippon Ichi Software.
Tons of collectables, crazy stats, side quests, unlockables, secret characters.
Build an army of Riders, monsters, or mooks.
I should save this as a copypasta whenever someone tries to act like Wizard wasn't garbage.
KR often has the kinda weird shitty Tarento in pretty important roles that'd show up on Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende.
Even after 23 episodes, I'm still in awe at how cool Chalice looks.
And damn, this show is good.
When Ichigo and I were making out at the drive-in theater. I think they were playing "Attack of the Fifty Foot Giraffe," but I have to admit the only things I was staring into we're his big beautiful compound eyes.
Fourze was the second KR show I watched. W was my first. I had no idea about toys or final forms being a main thing yet and this happened
The build up and pay off is one of the finest moments in KR for me. When Extreme Dream played for the first time I got excited too, but not as much.
I love that image.
Shame we never got more configurations of Climax Form though. I'm not just talking about ones that swapped Kin, Ryuu and Ura. I'm also referring to combinations that used either Axe, Rod or Gun as a base WITH different variations depending on which of the other Taros went where. .
When I saw all the qts
>Ura takes over for the head
>Momo becomes a steel-toed boot
>Kintaros takes over
>Momo becomes a boxing glove
>Ryu takes over
>Momo becomes a breast cannon
>he complains in each finisher
>things that never happened
Show me your hair.
>Little brother calls all of the gimmick toys (Rings, Shift Cars, Gaia Memorys, et.c) "Drivers"
He is so adorable
No idea, I remember knowing what a rider is and doing henshin poses when I got excited even before I consciously followed any of the series. Somewhat unrelated but does anyone know which dub used the phrase "Rider Change" for transforming? It was used for either Ryuki or Blade I can't remember
I've been watching it with my
daughtersince she was 6. I had to read the subtitles to her at first, but now she can read it mostly on her own (the names are hard for her, I don't blame her). We've watched OOO, W, Wizard (she quit half way), Ryuki, Decade, and now we're watching Ghost together. You'd be surprised how much kids can understand on their own.
