They actually pretty much are. HG Wing Zero in the middle here is the same size as HG Wing, and as you can see it's about the same height as RD Wing on the left. RD WZ's height might be a little exaggerated, but it /is/ supposed to be noticeably taller than RD Wing (which is something both the HGs and the MGs screw up) so that's fair enough. And it's mostly the waist joint anyways.

And if you accept RD Wing Zero as "close enough" (which believe me, people do all the time with HGs; look at the Late UC HGUCs!), then the rest of the line falls right into place. Heavyarms here is supposed to be the same height as Wing Zero, and Sandrock is... supposed to be a bit shorter, but that's probably just the extra tall head camera skewing things a bit.

Both the MG and HG suffer from the same problems. Horrible early 2000's proportions, horrible early 2000's mobility, and they require a ton of painting. All of the yellow and black vents need to be painted, and it's a nightmare to do it. At least the GP series got RG releases. There literally is not alternative to the crappy Alex kits.
