How would he even know about this? Also she had him arrested and stripped of his rank and title and told them to take him into custody. Soldiers and police are allowed to get physical when arresting people.

It's military use of those technologies that's banned. N-Jammer Cancellers were installed into the EA's powerplants in order to get them working again following the war. Granted, this means N-Jammers are pretty much worthless now since the EA is vaccinated against future usage.

As for the cancellers, that's to stop people from using nuclear warheads and nuclear-powered mobile suits/armors.

I get the feeling that these worldbuilding details were written without Fukuda's input and he never bothered to glance over them.

Actually the plans were stolen by Terminal before the development was completed according to the MG manual for Strike Freedom

Yeah, but would using the N-Jammer Canceller to fix the damage done by N-Jammers count as military use? It would be more like economic recovery which would be fine under the treaty. After all, they've already installed them in powerplants despite the Junius Treaty as part of the post-war recovery.

They were mentioned once to say how evil the EA is.

And that was it. Kira uses Freedom and nobody cares. In fact it's nuclear reactor is never even mentioned, and the only way you'd know it has one if you didn't watch Seed was because of the readout on the cut off button which most Japanese people probably can't read anyway.

And Durandal rolls out two nuclear Gundam's of his own and nobody cares, and then Lacus pulls out two more. And they never even try to explain what the Destroy runs off of.
