>How to get into KR and where to start?
>List of subbed series:
Surprise Future has been uploaded:
I missed the drive crew so much. It felt good to see them again.
>we still have the Chase and Ghost movies coming
Life is grand.
Gotta ask, does Kyu do anything in SF? Maybe 15 seconds in the spotlight?
>tfw Heart, Brain, and Medic were on screen alive
Better shitposters than you have tried.
I really miss the cast from Four-zay
I never found a use for this image during Drive's run.
>computer themed rider
>secondary rider who's internet/social media themed
>spend the whole MOTW fight arguing and trying to prove himself he is in the right
>thumbs up or makes a heart if he agrees with something you say
would be entertaining
Man I can't wait until tomorrow. I'll be getting my Drive Driver in the mail along with the DX Shift car set 01. I already have 02, 03, 04 and the 3 formula shift cars.
Saturday is when the other 6 shift cars/ Door gun/Handle sword I ordered show up.
Now I'm only missing Formula, Tridoron and Road Winter.
Are we gonna start talking collections?
I only recently stopped being poor, so this is all I've got so far. I did also get my hands on Signal Chaser, and that should be in my mailbox by tomorrow.
Nothing here is worth anything. So if you like fights, then go for it.
Wait, why did you wait to get the Drive Driver even thought you already had 4 Shift Car sets.
Also My collection is very similar to yours, just with less Drive shit and more W/Beast shit
My goal is to get everything Shinouke used during the series (minus Dead Heat because really that was more Gou's thing)
I also ordered a blue jumpsuit so I can make a Fallout cosplay.
>Changes genderform to whatever is opposite of the enemy so they can always claimed they're being oppressed.
Kaito Kid's card pistol from the Detective Conan series. It's the only thing on there that isn't toku, but I always thought it was a pretty cool looking gun.
Most of it was through Amazon. I ordered the gashapon shift cars via "It Came From Japan" which is a Canadian retailer.
Is it weird to find a character more attractive than the actress who plays them? Does that make sense?
Well at that price, you'd be crazy not to. All in all, I spent maybe $150 and got the belt, the shift car holder, 5 shift car sets, the door gun, and the handle sword.
This is all the stuff that came earlier in the week.
And I forgot all about the 6 gashapon shift cars!
So for having spent less than $175 to get almost everything? I think I did ok. Granted the Formula trailer cannon and DX Tridoron shift car are both $60. Those will have to wait until I get my tax return.
What I plan to do next is get the SC holder with the DX Tridoron in the same shipment.
That way for 30 bucks I get the holder, the other two 1-2-3 shift cars.
And a cheap little Tridoron my Drive figures can hang out in.
Yeah. I've been perfecting the little thumb flick that Shinouske does with the cars by practicing on Cab and Vegas. I really love their designs.
I can't wait to get Hunter though. He's probably my fave.
as speedy as we can
It's all I've ever wanted since I remembered VR Troopers was a thing.
Once again, I don't see how Nagatsuki and Mochizuki have anything to do with Philip and Ryutaros.
At least the Mutsuki and Kisaragi ones made sense
>not knowing how every Jap is in love with Kancolle
Hey /krg/ I'm new to the whole figurine thing and am not quite sure if I want S.H. Spector or not. Do base forms tend to completely sell out or is there a chance of buying them after the pre-orders are shipped?
I'm about halfway through Kiva. When does it get bad? The monster and Rider designs are top tier, Wataru is adorable, and the time change, while not executed perfectly, is an interesting attempt at something fresh
When a character named Taiga shows up the show starts to sour then a girl will appear and it will just...
All the change Wataru is going through will be for naught.
Some cool shit happens plus Otoya's story so stick around.
What's the name of the location where they filmed pic related? It's the same place they used for a lot of Gaim, right?
I mean I'm definitely gonna finish it. Maybe I have a tolerance to shitty plots or something, but I genuinely enjoy this and Wataru. Then again I probably haven't seen it at its worst
Holy shit. Chou Deadheat Drive is a downgrade.
No wonder he got his ass kicked by low-class future Roidmudes and Dark Drive. I'm actually really disappointed that Go as Deadheat Mach was also getting his ass kicked and he has the superior tech and skillset. Power levels are bullshit.
>Drive is car themed
>Gou's upgrades are ricer shit
Oh they're actually making a new Ganma suit for it as well. And here I thought it was just going to be showing off the Legend Souls against their own enemies.
If kaijin came into existence and bothered humans, how long can they last before humans either genocided them or captured them?
Why would anyone need things like Kamen Riders?
Unless the kaijins are excellent infiltrators and turned out to be the ruling elite or something.
The Grongi would've won if Kuuga wasn't a factor.
The lower groups would've died, but the Zu and Go would've made Japan a dead zone.
Deguva alone would've killed possible millions before being nuked, and even then I'm not sure how that would work out.
You haven't watched many of these movies if you think that's even an option.
Does this count? The fact that they tried to "pimp" Mashin Chaser's machinery/junk motif is pretty gross.
>unless the kaijins are excellent infiltrators
So the Worms and Roidmudes would win pretty straightforwardly.
Ryubee Sonozaki had the ability to make you so afraid of him that you would forget he existed because if you could remember you'd start screaming and never stop. Taking down a mafia organization takes a long time, and the Sonozakis had an endgame that required just waiting it out.
Gamou posed as a perfectly respectable public figure and had mind-control powers on top of that if you hadn't soaked up enough good vibes from space to resist it.
The Greeed are indestructible and Uva in particular is exceedingly good at infiltration and playing the long game.
There's not enough fire in the world to burn down Helheim once the invasion really gets into gear.
You have a few hours to notice the arrival of an Imagin before it jumps about twenty-thirty years into the past and you can't go after it.
It was only the miracle of recovering an intact Grongi corpse that allowed developing the first weapons that could work effectively on the higher groups.
Oh yeah, the worms and roidmudes are fearsome indeed in the way they can replace people just like that.
I also forgotten that some of the kaijin have specialties that need rider gear to nullify and go after them.
The roidmudes have slowdown, the ganma are invisible ghosts, in early heisei you have the mirror monsters that eat people and nobody even notice their existence.
Super Deadheat is radical
even if it does job
Not fat, just a lot bulkier than the other Rider suits. It's what you get when part of the design comes from a monster suit
I was looking to get the Kamen Rider manga on comixology but it only has three volumes not four. How come it doesn't have the fourth? Or did it just arrange the chapters into three volumes as opposed to the four volume Japanese release?
He mainly jobs against Dark Drive which is fair enough considering Dark Drive kicks EVERYONES ass
He actually did it the absolute madman...
>Distress! The Obsinate King of Escapes!
>Makoto and Kanon encounter the mysterious man, Alan, and his subordinate, the Ganma Javelle. Makoto tries to fight Javelle but is defeated, and Kanon is taken away. Realizing that he has no hope of winning like this, he taps into the power of the Eyecon of the King of Escapes, Houdini, which he has never managed to use before.
I don't care enough about episode 13 and 14 to translate them.
Better than Proto Drive though, obviously. And 8t is supposed to be considering it is type Speed 0.75.
And despite the power levels, both Zero Drive and Super Dead Heat look awesome.
No. He beat one after going into the Dead Zone and then promptly got his ass kicked until the police aided him. Then the police lost and then Ghost threw that Roidmude into a truck with Newton Damashii and called it a day and left.
No, Zero is weaker than ProtoIt's not by much, but still.
It makes me wonder why they didn't just use Proto-Drive for the movie.
Punching power: 4.1 t.
Kicking power: 5.9 t.
Maximum jump height: 28 m.
Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 6.1 sec. (2.1 sec. at full speed)
Punching power: 3.9 t.
Kicking power: 5.8 t.
Maximum jump height: 27.5 m.
Maximum running speed: 100 m per 6.2 sec.
That doesn't make sense considering Zero looks more finished than Prototype, and I imagine that was the story intent.
Are these specs ever discussed with writers or are they just made up to fancy up webpages and other promotional stuff about the Riders?
I guess that explains "Zero", but not the look.
That also doesn't explain why he ditched the spoiler and the red despite being in the final design and how in 10 years all he could come up with is ProtoDrive.
Also does this mean Shin is technically the first Drive after all?
>Unironically liking Type Tridoron or Mashin Chaser
>people have different tastes than mine so they're shit !
>Not liking Drive's two best suits
Yes, but by that reasoning, the '71 show was "originally" going to be about Skullman or some cross-themed dude, Gaim was "originally" going to feature bird-themed armor, and Ryuki (allegedly) was going to be Metal Heroes.
Wasn't that guy in After V S2 ?
Detail of Heroes time! This issue has 20 pages dedicated to Ghost so it may take a bit to post them all. Enjoy!
>Shin's Decade card and Lockseed have Onizuka on them instead of Shin
I've actually also been watching Fourze during the break they've been on. Love the suit design. It's a lot more like super sentai than I was anticipating.
What's one of the more dark series?
Kamen Riders who've died and come back
>Godai: MY BELT GIVES ME SUPER STRENGTH!
>Yuuto: Thanks to Ryotaro, I never died to begin with!
>Gentaro: The Power of Friendship is strong enough to break the laws of physics!
>Shinnosuke: Car magic is strong enough to break the laws of physics!
>Takeru: My ghost dad gave me a ghost hug and brought me back to ghost life.
>Gou: Time got reset. And then I died and it got reset again. And then I died again and it got reset again. And then I died again and it got reset again! AND THEN I DIED AGAIN AND IT GOT RESET AG-how many fucking times did I die again?
>Tsukasa: Natusme used a picture to remember me back to life! Thanks, Den-O!
he'll still have a Ryoma Eyecon
I'd really like Houdini if it wasn't for that dumb rectangle glued to its back.
They really need to do something like the Accellular's carabiner pouch again. I know it fits in with the whole "adventure" theme, but it's still nice to have a dedicated place to store your gear on your person, especially if it's a phone-type device.
Fuck it, I love Goemon, and I love Ryoma now that I know he can dual wield the GanGunSaber and the Sunglasslasher. The Boost forms are legitimately great so far.
Newton's my boy, but I have to admit Tutankhamen is my actual favorite Damashii design-wise.
Some people are just shit. It's not hard to hardsub a file and then webm it, or hardsub it while webming it, etc...
If it even needs subs. Nobody needs to see TVNs shitty karaoke attack name.
>Is it because of hardcoded subs?
You can straight up just add an .srt file while encoding a webm and it'll add subtitles just fine, they don't need to be hardsubbed at all. Usually the only reason you webm TV-N stuff is when it's pretty much the only option.
Webm for Retards lets you do it automatically and it's the most convenient way. If you can't use Webm for Retards use ffmpeg and stick the .srt/.ass file into /bin/, put "ass=<Subs>.ass" around where you set the resolution, and make sure -i is put before -ss.
Some use webm for retards others just do it with ffmpeg, I do the latter for instance.
Yeah, I've been using the ffmpeg method. The version of Webm for Retards that lets you add subtitles always freezes up for me, so I have to use an older version that doesn't.
The rule in Den-O is that everything an Imagin does is undone after its defeat as long as there's people who remember the way it used to be. The people who die didn't really die unless there's nobody in the world who remembers they're alive. There's an episode where a guy dies who was totally forgotten by everyone, so he doesn't come back and just vanishes entirely. The reason Yuuto using up all the cards is dangerous is because if nobody remembers him he doesn't exist anymore.
It works most of the time for me, better when they're actually in the .mkv rather than being a file by itself. My problem are the audio decode errors on occasion which work just fine with ffmpeg but not WfR and it drives me nuts.
>The rule in Den-O is that everything an Imagin does is undone after its defeat as long as there's people who remember the way it used to be.
NOW I FINALLY FUCKING UNDERSTAND ALL THE RIDERS COMING BACK IN LET'S GO KAMEN RIDER
HOLY SHIT I'M RETARDED
>Watching the Heart Breaker PV
>Skull is just dancing around and doing whatever the fuck he feels like while Christmas Cake is ogling the shit out of him and at one point even feels him up and he doesn't even seem to care
Jesus Christ I wish I were that attractive
No, Let's Go Kamen Rider is retarded, because it doesn't follow that rule at all. They just leave the world a smoking ruin ruled by Shocker for thirty years at the end, they don't try to go back and fix it.
But the older Riders reappeared before the bad guys had been defeated, didn't they? And the whole time messery wasn't due to an Imagin IIRC, so I don't think that would even apply.
>Looking through the files of Travelers Senkei
>Kamen Rider XXX
Hey look, we can rip Travellers Senkei sprites now.
I grabbed one of Wizards later files and found the sprites for his infinity finisher
Why do people care about his twitter?
Reminder we will never have
Commie level typsetting
Will there ever be a series as memey as Blade again?
>Said Neo-Heisei as if it was a legit term
Wait...someone actually watched it?
>Peachy will never motorboat you with her drool covered breasts
just finished Ryuki, why is everyone aside from Shinji, Ren and Yui so unlikable
The whole show was about different people's interpretations of what "justice" is. A lot of the characters were suppose to be unlikeable. Then you have Asakura who's just a total psychopath who just wants anarchy.
If you consider things from their perspective, Shinji wasn't doing his job, would randomly disappear for no apparent reason, and at one point basically mooched off their place of business despite all that. So, their reaction to him is understandable.
The only person who might remember the piano man is in a coma, which apparently doesn't count, so the piano man disappears. We see that one of the functions the Den-Liner plays is to house those who've been lost to time, so the piano man will be a passenger on it forever unless his friend in the coma wakes up and remembers him.
Did they ever say why Shinnosuke was chosen to be Drive, other than presumably the whole time travel thing in Movie War Genesis?
I vaguely remember Krim giving some half baked reason about how Shinnosuke knows the desperation of not being able to help someone when his partner got blown up or something like that.
Probably bullshit, but I guess that's why?
>You will never have a freaky giant grasshopper with a kawaii voice as a buddy
Why does Kamen Rider have the absolute worst writing ONLY when it comes to causing a conflict between two allied characters? Every single main rider vs secondary rider conflict is absolute bullshit. Tendou vs Kagami, Tachibana vs Kenzaki, Fourze vs Meteor, Eiji vs Ankh(not a rider but still), and many more.
I feel like they could at least put in some effort into the writing, or just make one of the characters an absolute sociopath like Kusaka.
Okay, as someone whose only experience of Hibiki is through Decade, I have one question.
Are they fucking naked after they drop their henshin? What the fuck? Why??? Do you gotta have people running around with modesty flags like these fuckers all the time if you're a Hibiki rider or what? Surely this is impractical? What happened to the clothes they were wearing before, did they get turned into the armour? What the fuck.
>O's constantly loses his medals to the point where he's reset back to square one multiple times
I'm only halfway through but this has become painful to watch in some aspects.
When they transform into their Rider forms, or more so their Oni forms, the spirit fire covers their whole body, burning away their human clothes, revealing the demon beneath the skin.
I remember hearing a little later into the season that they drop the whole "clothes burning away" thing. Probably something to do with the retool.
I was wondering, do the toy belts take into account the order of the transformation trinkets? Like, if you put the medals in the wrong order (not head - torso - legs), will the OOO's belt still play the combo jingle or will it play some kind of error sound?
It still plays the jingle.
Best color, best combo
Would you call Black RX dark? I'm inclined to say no.
OOO losing his Medals and changing what forms he has available at different points is easily one of the best aspects of the show, though. There's stakes every time Eiji fights a Greeed or group of them because either side could walk away with more or less than they started with, or Eiji could lose some Medals but manage to steal some new ones.
Why aren't they doing this with Ghost? It has the perfect set up for gimmick juggling between both sides, yet the only time this has happened was when Makoto stole Edison for one episode, and now when Takeru lost Robin Hood and Benkei, but I'm sure he'll get those back this week or next week and either way it really won't matter at all since Billy the Kid serves the same purpose as Robin Hood and Boost is stronger than Benkei so who really gives a good goddamn fuck?
Yeah I was hoping for Eyecon swapping shenanigans with Ghost too. It would help to make this post-99-days reset bit a little more suspenseful, now that all the 15 eyecons are in play and EVERYONE is gunning for them.
Well, Makoto got what he wanted so I don't see what purpose he would have in gathering the Eyecons. Other than to add unnecessary drama to the show because the writers are too lazy to think of something original, I guess?
But even then, the episode summaries for the next few weeks don't exactly make it seem like that's going to happen.
When Saionji did the thing.
Maybe it wasn't Robin and Benkei, but Javert picked up a green and a white Eyecon and gave them to Alan and as far as I'm aware Benkei and Robin Hood are the only green and white Eyecons.
Pretty sure those are supposed to be Grimm and Sanzo, you know the Eyecons that Necrom is gonna use?
Because the end of episode Eyecon count for that episode shows Takeru still having Robin Hood and Benkei.
When the Eyecons do the Dragon Ball thing they all just dissipate in the neighbourhood and they find all the old ones they had plus 1 we'll see this week, and the Ganma kept the we still haven't seen. It's so crappy.
Worse thing about that show is how they kill off half of the main villains and have one of them do fuck all while the other gets no screentime. It's like, did they run out of budget to pay the actors or something?
Just got to World of Hibiki in Decade. Hibiki was my first rider series. Anyone know why they got all the original actors except the two main characters? I can understand if they got ALL new actors like they have for all the other worlds or had all the original cast but it seems weird to just have the main two characters altered.
Makoto stole Edison for a pretty lengthy number of episodes, but yeah, that was the only Eyecon theft.
I'm actually kind of glad, because the difference with OOO was the Greeed got stronger when they had the Cores, whereas so far the Ganma don't get anything out of having the Eyecons except for Takeru not having them. If the second set of 99 days was "go gather all the Eyecons AGAIN", it would be pretty shitty. As it stands they got right about back to where they were before and only have three new ones to find, which I appreciate because it means we can spend less time on that and more time on the plot.
That probably wasn't the reason, but I doubt it helped.
Honestly it's a testimony to how much better the production has gotten at Rider that OOO is as coherent as it is. Some things were definitely altered partway through because of the quake and because of Date's unexpected popularity, but it's not like it pulled a Hibiki or Kabuto and shat the bed.
