Is it just me, or did the show's budget hit like a goddamn tank at the halfway point. I thought something was weird about the two filler episodes, but I feel like I'm starting to notice more and more obvious cost-cutting? When it started out, I thought the animation was pretty high-tier, if below the "late 90s Sunrise" tier; but after the recap episode, I'd put it well below Evangelion.

Xebec is such a weird history. They started out making great interesting shows, and nowadays they are just Production IG's secondary site, in addition to making boobie anime now and then.
