Doesn't need any of that crap. In spite of its looks, it's fast and nimble as hell, mostly thanks to its biosensor. It only has a rifle and sabers, but those are pretty damn powerful. And if anything goes wrong, it always has the surprise crotch saber.

Zeta's final battle was disappointing enough as it is, but watching CCA made me think of how much crazier Amuro's already crazy last battle at Axis could have been were he dealing with 4 arms instead of just 2.

I can see it holding out until the end of ZZ, where MS bristling with particle cannons like the Doben Wolf start getting mass-produced. By that point reactor output is so high that armor is irrelevant, it's just about who lands a hit with their Super Mega Particle Cannon first.

The O is a cool MS. I've always thought the shape of its head and back-fin together were supposed to evoke a rhinoceros beetle's horns.

I like how its so poorly thought out that it has to be really careful how it holds its weapons. If you approach it from its left while it is posing like in the OP pick, aiming the beam rifle at you will result in the beam rifle being destroyed by its own beam sabers unless you move two other arms out of the way first.

Which is something that it can do, but eventually its going to happen. Controlling 4 arms on the fly during the heat of battle is going to lead to a mistake eventually.

It's ridiculously heavily armored, and has enough thrusters to move at normal speeds while under Jupiter's gravity. Take it out from Jupiter's sphere of influence, and you suddenly have something with the durability of a mobile armor and the speed and agility of a mobile suit. AND the Bio sensor.

It's far from the flashiest MS out there, but for its time, it was fucking terrifying.

As someone who spends his life working with computers, I can tell you that you have entirely too much faith in computers and their programmers.

I'll believe that the O has some kind of programming to avoid the most common forms of collisions, but I am flat out telling you that it is eventually going to cut off a piece of itself by accident. The only way it couldn't is if the O has an advanced AI onboard whose entire job is to prevent the O from fucking itself up, or if the programmer was literally omniscient.

Why do people lie about The O? It doesn't have a super strong beam rifle. The Zeta and Shiki have better beam rifles. The MK II barely has a weaker one. The only advantages it has are being fast and the Biosensor which is just another name for plot.
