Why won't you just let Sharon Apple give you the emotion you want /m/?
Also short hair is objective best Sharon, but she is best idol overall anyway
I like this song so much. Back when I'm still playing ACE Online listen to this song while flying so high up where there is nothing but sky and cloud, it was a pure bliss.
Does anyone have any information on how Melodie Sexton (the song's singer) became involved in Macross Plus in the first place? Kinda strange to find an American singer involved in such a project at the time
I just really like all the music in Macross Plus, It's my personal favorite of all the shows. One of the first things I ever imported from Japan was the CD.
Sharon is without a doubt my
secondfavorite AI (artificial idol).
Sharon's designs are just great
I always wonder why she seems to get used so much less than the other idols in promotional stuff. I guess killer ai isn't as moe as annoying whiny little girls
Plus in general doesn't get a lot of promotional exposure compared to the others. I suppose part of that is because it's the only one that doesn't have any direct ties to the rest aside from VF design.
While I wonder whether Shinichiro Watanabe's presence might have had something to do with it, honestly you can probably just attribute it to Kanno's mysterious powers.
That scene is so good. All these people lined up to see this idol, then a HAL-9000 box gets out of the limo. Plus had some really killer imagery.
I think it is as much the cast just isn't so easily marketable, they aren't so happy and fun. Not saying either way is bad just that's how it is. Basara Minmay hanging out on a sofa? Sure. Ranka and Shraon? Ranka is gonna get mind raped bad
>Plus had some really killer imagery.
It really worked well at making the music aspect something creepy. Cause if you think about it magic songs that can touch people is really scary, but it would be so easy to make that just into the "bad" idol who dresses a bit more slutty and probably has a hohoho laugh. Whereas Sharon has this uncanny valley sort of thing, she's inviting yet uncomfortable
They give you an info high, that's all you need to know.
In the first Frontier movie, they mentioned Sharon among the great singers in Macross history at the concert. So clearly there was a cover up by the UN Spacey government so Sharon was remembered in a positive light.
>It really worked well at making the music aspect something creepy.
I never really thought of it that way but now that you mention it, yeah I can totally see that.
Time for a rewatch.
