That's not the problem. The script writing is just horrible. It's not even B rated movie, it's more like F rated. As bad as that "omg it eats her and then they are going to eat meeeeeee" level of shit writing.

Give it a chance. It gets better. I just finished and it was a pretty satisfying ending.

I totally get that, I just saw an episode where the NEP was missing every line except the episode title. I can't understand Japanese well enough, but sometimes one word gets translated as a full sentence, and sometimes a long sentence gets translated as one or two words. It makes it more awkward for non-Japanese speakers,
