Is this true?
If it's on Wikipedia, it must be true.
Great thread OP.

This being said there's no real distinction between real and super.
Why would you even care about what some random guy said? Why should anyone care? Judge for yourself and get on with your life.
There are gradients.... on the extreme of one side there is real robot, on the extreme other is super.
Most shows fall in the middle somewhere.
Just look at the Gundam franchise...
Why didn't you just argue with him in that thread instead of making a separate thread about it?

No, it's not.

There's a better chart out there that was shown on some Japanese TV show that judged shows by four factors: Scientiifc versus Fantastic (ie how close they were to reality/verisimilitude versus outright abandoning any premise of it) and in the way the series felt, heroic versus pragmatic. Anybody still have it?

Don't even post that shit. It's stupid.

Because he probably got told off in the other thread and hopes that by making a new one he'd only get people who agree with him to respond. This kind of shit happens a lot on /vr/.

That's just the ranting of somebody on the spectrum. Feeling the need to label and compartmentalize everything in order to make sense of the world is a literally a sign of autism.
This is especially the case for /m/ as a genre since almost no franchise is able to to portray robots in a believable manner.
