Just got Hyakuri's kit, but haven't started on it yet. Working on OO Raiser first.

How is the kit? Is it good? On a scale from Exia Dark Matter to OO Raiser with Build Strike being the middle ground, how flexible and easy to pose is it?

I have noticed that, of the few series I've watched (00, 0079, G, Wing, G-Reco, IBO), a lot of them seem to have the MC steamroll everything. I don't think Bellri had a single challenge at all and the Gundam Meisters didn't even break a sweat until the Thrones showed up and gave the rest of the world the fake GN Drives. I seem to recall all of OZ's mobile suits that weren't Tallgeese were made out of papier mache and explodium, too. Did Domon have any challenges at first? I know it took him forever to beat Master Asia because the fucker wouldn't die and Saisaishi almost beat him in the tournament.

It's a decent kit. It's very flexible since it has a partial innerframe. The head doesn't really move at all, though, and the arms do get slightly hindered when you put the backpack (which is, like, four pieces in total and it's all hollow) on.

I once saw a preview image of one of the backpack pieces being used as an armguard/boxing type of attachment to the fists. Is that still a thing? Please tell me it is.

Yeah, the bottom pieces that help hold the arms in can come off and be use as shields or something. I'm really not sure what they are. They don't peg in or snap in or anything to the backpack itself, they just get held on by friction, so you should be careful about how often you pull them out and put them back in.

but that makes the design much more interesting, hyakuren is also a good design but a little too "on the nose" with the samurai armor look

I love it, transformation is a little weak but it's a neat design
