IBO is alright so far, if a little on the weak side in terms of story impact. Thunderbolt has only just gotten started. It's yet another UC sidestory with yet another RX-78 but the animation is pretty nice. Io is an unlikeable prick, though, but no one else has managed to make any kind of impression at all yet.
Origin, similarly, is yet another OYW story, this time in the form of Char's biography. Pretty nicely animated for the most part, but with a little more goofiness than I'd normally like. It's cool to see Dozle being an important figure in the development of Mobile Suits, and Ramba Ral is a total badass.
The less said about Reco the better.

All-in-all, though, if I had to weigh these four shows against MSG, Zeta, ZZ, and CCA I'd definitely pick them above the current four. That's not to say that I dislike IBO or Thunderbolt, and I am warming up to Origin after rewatching Pt1 and watching Pt2, just that the originals were a bit better. It's not like "not as good as MSG" is any kind of low hurdle, after all, that was a DAMN good show.

Not really. At least not outside of Amuro not building Haro (that kind of pisses me off). When you say "canon" you're apparently referring to manga, novels, or whatever. There is no animated canon being contradicted by the Origin anime. The one really big change, the existence of the Guntank in 0065, has been altered for the anime to be RTX-65 so that RX-75 is not retconned.

Canon is only a good thing if it promotes consistency in setting, characters and plot and is a sign of long term structured skilled writing. However, canon does not automatically equal quality or on its own serve as an indicator for how good a show can be or how enjoyable it is.

Doozy Bots would have been a good show if you called it something other than Doozy Bots. It's a novel concept and the SD MS animation from the trailer was extremely well done for something aiming to sell at whittu piggu. Just call it something other than Doozy Bots
