Nope. The arms are in the center fuselage. You can see them folded up on top of each other.
I'd say that the tailfin/rudder serves as the left arm's shield in Battroid mode.
The intakes appear to separate away from the legs, similar to the VF-27.
There's a lot you can learn by framestepping through the transformation (Ctrl+Arrow Keys in MPC-HC).

As someone who never bothered with Macross, are there attempts at making variable fighter versions of shit like the Foxbat/hound and Flankers? I've been thinking about the Draken's transformation.
Seeing as it's the Sv-262, I studied transformation videos of the Sv-51, and at this point I'm pretty god damn certain that I've found the head. Compare the area circled here to the image in the OP. This spot is where the head is on the SV-51, and considering the location the legs are shown connecting to in GERWALK mode, I think the transformation might end up being pretty similar to the SV-51's. The area right in front of the head should fold over the cockpit and become the chest in Battroid mode. I think the joints on it are actually for the inbuilt guns, which would end up on the chest just like the Sv-51.

The only thing that'd end up being different is the arms, but they'd just stow behind the head, where the gunpod ammo magazines are on the SV-51.

That's one of the shoulders, the head is most likely the part between the cockpit and that spot. The two arms will probably each rotate 90 degrees port and starboard, the nose will flip down with the intakes forming part of the chest, and the head will extend up above. Wings will fold up in back.

Well we can't say for sure either way then since the gunpod is in the way in every shot. You can tell just above the feet are almost certainly the wrists and it makes sense for both arms to have similar transformation. I'm going to call it now that the gunpod is shoulder turret mounted. The part here is most likely to be the head since it's in the right place, has a similar contour to the 21/22 head, and clearly has weapon ports of some kind.

I agree with your arm location, but I honestly believe that what you've got pegged as the head is actually the chest. The way the wings interact with the legs is similar enough to the Sv-51 that I'm convinced they have a similar transformation, only with the arms folding underneath and behind the head. The Sv-262 is thick as hell. There's more than enough room for the forearms to be under the head.

Here, take a look at this.
See the teal chest section that the white wingroots connect to? It's very similar on the Sv-262, assuming that the divisive area in question is the chest. Biggest difference would be where the arms are stored, but it'd be trivial for the "collarbones" to fold underneath the head.
The other big difference is the lack of the red section, which covers the VTOL liftfan intakes in Fighter mode, and covers the cockpit in Battroid mode. But that's exactly why the Sv-262 has an armored cockpit.
