I thought this movie was way weaker than Sharivan and Gavan, but it was still pretty entertaining. It felt like they were trying to squeeze the overarcing plot from Sharivan into this so they could get things over and done with, which was a bit of a letdown. The actual Shaider suit also didn't get nearly as much screentime as Gavan and Sharivan did

Like I said though it's still enjoyable. I'm totally cool with Toei making more Space Sheriff stuff with these actors; Gavan is super likeable and Sharivan is cool as fuck, and obviously Date is Date tier. I'm looking forward to whatever they do next

I haven't seen the original Space Sheriff shows, so I don't know how they did things but one thing that's vaguely disappointing about these movies is that they all take place in the usual Toei filming locations in TOKYO, JAPAN. Given that these guys are galactic cops it would be cool to see more fantastical or hi-tech looking locations, but it's the usual warehouse, back alley, forest, and so on. I appreciate that Toei does things on a shoestring budget, and these movies are definitely still fun to watch, but do you ever see something and just think how cool it could be if it had the resources big studios have

This was pretty fun. The only complaint I have is that the movie didn't have enough Shaider, too much other stuff mixed in. Really wished they'd save all the plot resolution pertaining to the bird girl in a separate movie. It felt so rushed.

Also, character development for Shaider, and a bit more setup for the romance plot would have been nice. Shaider really deserved a Sharivan-esque solo movie, especially with an actor like Hiroaki Iwanaga as Shaider.

Shaider really doesn't fit well with the Sharivan movie. The first one sets up Horror Girl as being the Moriarty of this secret crime cartel. And Shaider goes nowhere with it. Instead it's just Date's antics with Sakamoto's most recent squeeze and we get Horrorgirl's identity, but she isn't even the one who employed the main villain and she too easily turns a new leaf when it's pretty clear she is a fucking psychopath who is turning it for the lulz and got people killed because of what she did.

This movie not that bad but I wish the last 15 minutes are reserved for another movie, maybe a third movie starring Geki to wrap the previous two. Shaider felt shafted because of the team-up part.
