Any reason I'm not seeing this on the front page?
So other than some detail added for the skirts, what exactly is supposed to be customized about it?
>next year tons of Crossbone vanguard suits in HG/MG/REs
one can dream huh?
>not even a new HG Vigna Ghina
seriously why live.
well at least we got a good V2 that is a god send.
I know and I'm so happy for it. Hoping for X2 and X3 around the corner but i won't be greedy since X1 was just announced.
Its a crime how neglected the Bertigo is.
>hardly shows up in Video Games
>hardly showed up in the anime
If X2 and X3 get normal releases (other than premium hobbyshop), then I wouldn't think an announcement would be made for at least 6 more months. X1 full cloth will almost certainly be a full release; X1 and 2 kai will probably be exclusives.
>I wouldn't think an announcement would be made for at least 6 more months
I'd say that's probably a safe assumption. Wonder if Crossbone series of models will add anything to the HG line other then Gundams?
Hell it feels like they aren't releasing much a anything at all for this show.
The EZ-8 team was one kit configured in different ways. The last rival character didn't even use a new suit.
For a show about 3 on 3, I thought we'd be getting a lot more imaginative customs a lot faster. In reality it seems slower.
>Which is pretty inappropriate considering it's 3 on 3.
Remember, they are also releaseing G-Reco kits at the same time as well as HGUC. They only have so much they can produce at once and expect people to have budget to buy. Cram too many releases into a month and you start cannibalizing sales from yourself as people now need to start budgeting and not getting certain models over others.
>I'm also now wondering why the EZ8 guys even got kits
>Make new EZ-8 mold
>Can't reuse it towards anything really so you make a custom or two of it for BF so you have a easy kit remold to use to get more of your money's worth out of the mold.
They're also making kits of the lead MS from the two manga side stories (Customs of Hi-nu and Wing zero).
>Remember, they are also releaseing G-Reco kits at the same time as well as HGUC. They only have so much they can produce at once and expect people to have budget to buy. This is a legit point.
But it just makes it even more obvious than the whole three vs. three thing was a bad movie, a long with the various in show reasons that have become apparent so far.
>I'm also now wondering why the EZ8 guys even got kits
It has been Bandai's policy to try to make at least 2 different kits from every HG mold that they produce (apart from a number of HGUC kits). That's why the GBF was attached to the All-Gundam project (or vice-versa). That also allows us to have a fairly good guess at which suits will have kits in the future.
This is the reason the HGAW Wing Zero mold is being reused for the HGBF Wing Zero Honoo and the HGUC Hi-Nu mold for the HGBF Hi-Nu Brave, even though it's very unlikely either will show up in the show.
As an aside, there are a fair number of kits that we will get (eventually) based on this. Airmaster Burst, some DX custom, and possibly ZZ versions of the Zssa. Of course, just yesterday we heard announcements for V Dash and V2AB, thereby confirming this trend.
>It has been Bandai's policy to try to make at least 2 different kits from every HG mold that they produce (apart from a number of HGUC kits)
>They do this thing with all of their kits they make except the ones they don't
Most of those HGUC are older ones that are difficult to reuse now. Most of the ones they've release in the last few years have gotten at least one reuse, if not more. Bandai has been trying to get the maximum bang for their buck.
>V Dash and V2AB
This reminds me, do I even need to buy vanilla V and V2 with these coming out? I was only planning on using them for kitbashes, but the V-Dash and V2 Assault Buster will give me more parts to play with.
Don't know about the V-dash, but you shouldn't be able to make a vanilla V2 from the AB, it's got a couple of different armor parts like skirts and I think shoulders that based on the runner layout I doubt the AB will bother including.
Yes, that's how exception clauses work. Of all the HG's released since, let's say, the end of 00, the only molds that do not have double kits are as follows (excluding exclusives, because that'd be a cheap way to make my point):
God, Gouf Custom, Jesta, Hambrabi, Messala, Gerbera Tetra, Zogok, Zssa, Schuzrum Gallus, Z II, Turn A, DX, Airmaster, Fenice Rinascita, Gouf R35, Build Burning, Lightning and some of the Vagan and Thunderbolt suits.
Every other mold has had at least 2 kits, and even some of the above list will almost certainly have future kits based on those molds (e.g. Gouf R35 has some plates labeled Gouf, not R35)
I should mention, that just by numbers, the number of molds that don't have double kits is roughly 20/110 kits.
It's very likely that the V Dash and V2AB will not come with core-fighter parts, as they're in detachable areas.
Probably hobbyshop exclusive.
Try's problem isn't the team battle format itself, it's the team battle format coupled with the fact that in the grand scheme of things NOTHING is happening. It's just a tournament. That's it. There's no real threat to antagonize the heroes or drive them closer together. What Try needs is some form of urgency to make us give a shit about these new characters. Like how interesting would things be if the Gunpla mafia tried to get on their asses every episode because they believe with the Build Burning they can make even better Gunpla to whack people with?
You sound like that guy from S1 discussion threads who wasn't content with the fact that the show had "nothing on the line" to worry about because "games tournaments weren't important".
>the fact that in the grand scheme of things NOTHING is happening. It's just a tournament. That's it.
SO basically the same as the beginning of S1 before they introduced Mashita? Until then it was just tournament fun times with cross dimensional buddies.
I eant more Mashita introduced someone actively working specifically against them.
Really what Try needs is a good, solid rival. not this Simon thing where he's introduced and knocked out of the tournament in the same episode, or the builder guy, but someone who they are actively striving to overcome and beat. The main characters lack a good consistent foil and are coming off flat for it.
>The Perfect Gundam existed before Plamo Kyoshiro.
It didn't to my knowledge.
Katoki did and it was a fix figuration figure.
Are you confusing it with other full armor types? I can't find the Perfect Gundam appearing in anything else before Plamo Kyoshiro.
Well shit how could I forget, but now its in actual model kit form and not scratch built
Here's the full lineart he did for the GFF.
The quality of fights really do make a difference when its 1v1.
Seeing Destiny and Burning duked it out similar to S1 fights were more enjoyable than shitty beam spams followed up quick finishing blows like any old gundam series.
>and not scratch built
The GFF is basically the "Ver.Ka" of the RD line. Pic related is a scratchbuild/mod of the red warrior.
>The GFF is basically the "Ver.Ka" of the RD line.
It is now, but the lines actually been around quite a bit longer, and features totally different engineering (that Red Warrior included).
...I'm talking about model kits not action figures, ok so I forgot about the GFF (infact only ever seen one of it online for sale, ever) but I know there wasn't a model kit form, despite the fact it was featured as a custom gunpla in source material.
Although now technically it isn't even a custom now in terms of model kit...as in real deal not show wise
What evidence is there of this?
I assumed all this time the hguc just taken "modern" proportions that were easily recognisable, the full cloth mg isn't a ver ka but took alot of the ver ka's aesthetics with only tiny changes here and there.
OH, and not a shit load of decals all over the damn thing
It's not only the proportions, Hasegawa also modified the x-thruster and scissor anchor design.
This is the design Katoki finalized on.
And this is Hasegawa's modified version he used in the manga.
Well, maybe this is a better comparison since it doesn't have the Skull Heart modifications.
Proportion wise, the manga doesn't have fixed proportions because...
>junkass old as fuck ZZ
You be a child of the forest and not know the Gump?
Wait isn't this x3 after its repaint?
...what I mean to say is, what I know, one of the protagonist who pilots the third, blue crossbone, gets it repaired but painted like the first in colors, as well as adding the full cloth?
Only saying this because I know the blue one had that ear fin on its right.
Now that I think about it doesnt Hajime Katoki have a hand in all hguc kits, I know he had something to do with the hguc zock
