So with recent revelations from G Reco about the human/earth condition during the latter years of UC, we see that humanity went down a road where everyone souls were still weighed down by gravity and even went onto eating committing cannibalism.
This means that Char was always right about the earth and what would happen to mankind. His actions in CCA would have affected change if he had succeeded but Amuro single handedly set UC down a horrific grim future. All the newtypes left the solar system leaving behind the oldtypes to eat each other. The human race could've evolved as one instead but Amuro just had to fuck it up for everyone.
>Char was the protagonist
>Amuro was the villian
>Story had you believe otherwise
But at least by the time of Victory most of humanity was in Space and Earth was mostly uninhabited.
If the people somehow went back to Earth afterwards in order to cause all that famine mentioned in G-Reco then they're basically following Char's plan (leave Earth for space to let it "rest", only return after years), which means that it's a failure too.
Not to mention in G-Reco, the Earthnoids are under such harsh conditions that they're farming with manual labour and can't even conduct basic astronomy by law. And who's imposing this shit on them? That's right. Spacenoids.
If Char won, there would be no EF, most of earthnoids, who couldn't evacuate, will die, those who ran away from Earth will be taken to Char's space KGB, where they must proove that they are not members of EF elite. Surviving EF soldiers will turn into gangsters/pirates.
Neo Zeon government will start new colonisation program, they'll build new colonies, maybe on asteroids too. Char will marry Nanai and he'll be free from those damn nightmares. After destroying the remaining EF resistance the humanity will live and prosper on colonies. Every child in school will participate in newtype-test. After some period of time, probably after the death of Char, humanity will evolve into newtypes.
It's a stupid plan conceived based on idiotic data anyways, given that Char's plan is predicated on the idea that only the people on Earth are stupid and if everyone lived in space this would somehow automatically evolve everyone in to being better people. For which there is literally no proof, and lots of proof against given the existence of the Zabi family, Scirocco, Haman and so on. People living in space were just as greedy and dickish as people living on Earth, surprising about exactly zero people.
No, he only had it in for the Federation. He didn't mind being labeled a terrorist so long as he could be rid of the Feddies and their Spacenoid excluding policies. Yes, he also knew there were twisted spacenoids like the Zabis, Haman, and Scirocco. People will always be swayed by charisma and power, real or fictional. Not everyone is suited to lead, fewer still can lead responsibly.
To summarize, Char, like many spacenoids felt that the centralization of government on Earth excludes the needs and problems of Spacenoids who were born already excluded and considered problems since that's what colonization was originally for. He's not an idiot and knows that a large enough group of people will form a government to help protect and regulate themselves.
Char was right and you fucking know it.
Yea, my point wasn't just that Spacenoids could be corrupt but that getting rid of the Federation isn't going to change shit since the mindset that resulted in the Federation would remain in people regardless and would simply result in a new center of power that sets some other group as outsiders. Be it a particular colony, a particular side, a terraformed planet or what have you. Something Char should already be intimately familiar with because the Zabi family that he spent years trying to exterminate and spent a good chunk of his life obsessed with were trying to do exactly that. They wanted to establish a new center of government where they'd be the ones in charge of everything and shit all over everyone else at their own whim. They already spent the war otherizing the Earthnoids.
Worse yet it would probably be exactly the same people in power because most of the heads of the Federation had already fled the planet long before Axis was going to hit, and given that they're the people wit money and influence, even with people in outer space, they would simply use that money to establish themselves as the new power in outer space. Char's plan was really, really bad.
> He's not an idiot and knows that a large enough group of people will form a government to help protect and regulate themselves
He'd have to be an idiot to think that because every government almost immediately turns it's eyes around once established and able to protect themselves and starts looking for someone to demonize or ways to fuck over either their own people or someone else.
> Char was right and you fucking know it.
Char was idiot and he couldn't have been more wrong. You don't have to know it, but that doesn't stop most other people from knowing.
> Char was right nonsense
Char would have killed off humanity with that one stunt. They had no means of supporting their population without Earth. Zeon practically fell apart without the vast fertile farm lands, which was why they invaded Earth in the first place.
With Char being stopped where he was humanity was able to develop interstellar technologies as well as gather enough resources to survive separated from terrestrial life.
TL;DR Char nearly wiped out humanity
>this is the kind of person who posts on /m/
>is posting on /m/
Jupiter was barely able to feed itself. Everything, even oxygen, was strictly regulated and rationed. If the powers that be decided you weren't worth the food and oxygen, they killed you.
>humanity will evolve into newtypes
There is no such thing as humanity evolving into Newtypes. We are not Pokemon. Being a Newtype is a mutation, which could become an evolutionary step if it gave those of us who were Newtypes an advantage in procreating over those who were not, causing the Newtype mutation to become dominant over millions of years. In reality, though, the overwhelming majority of Newtypes die before having any children, causing it to be a mutation that is an evolutionary disadvantage. Newtypes will never become anything more than rare freak mutations, and by the time of Correct Century there are no Newtypes at all.
And what caused being a Newtype to lead you to die young and childless? Contolism, the philosophy which held Newtypes up as something special, caused people to seek out Newtypes and use them as weapons of war. Zeon Zum Deikun destroyed the very future he wanted to see created.
Newtypes should be the next evolutionary step, as it does seem to help in survival, and there is some correlation between living in space and becoming a newtype/awakening newtype abilities, but to what extent is never clearly explained. It just evolution nowadays is almost impossible.
Newtypes being used for war and dying a lot is the Zabis fault for starting the war, and forever associating newtypes with great piloting skills, making them a war asset. Zeon Zum Deikun sought to have them lead humanity into space together, as the whole understanding each other's feeling could lead to humanity unifying as it explores space and leaves the dying earth. It's just the war started by the Zabis fucked that over severely, mostly because the zabi zeon merely wanted to instill a dictatorship through war.
If your trait causes you to get used in wars and die a lot, it does not help in survival. Societal pressures on evolution are just as important as environmental ones, and the societal pressures of the Universal Century are overwhelmingly weighted to select against Newtypes by killing them off.
You're right, I was thinking too much about environmental pressures and not societal, newtypes and their place in humanity got fucked over in the war. If there was no one year war being a newtype would have been a positive trait and not one that got you killed.
Even though the newtype were a factor in the republic of Zeon and there the principality and the inevitable war there were other thing which led them down that path. If Zeon Zum Deikun had not been assassinated the principality wouldn't have formed, rapid militarisation wouldn't have happened, the war wouldn't have broken out, then maybe newtypes could lead with the understanding and not be forced to the front lines.
Pretty much. One thing AGE actually did somewhat interestingly...well sort of, they kind of forgot about this towards the end, was that developing psychic berserker powers to be used in war isn't exactly something that's particularly great to have and it's more of a devolution back to a more savage and primal state than evolving for the sake of a peaceful future.
Part 05 of Beltorchika's Children was released.
Thank you Deacon.
You can't get rid of the Federation peacefully without using force. The corruption is so deep rooted and wide-spread, that the politicians and rich earth elite won't willingly give up their power and give the colonies full autonomy and equal rights. That is the definition of revolution. The situation is good for them and they want to keep the status-quo to fuel their greed. While also covering up information about Newtypes so it doesn't become mainstream public knowledge.
Why do people side with the shitty Federation? They can't build a proper colony for the refugees, the Federation are not innocent. The Federation and their bureaucracy is the true evil. The Federation can't be a democracy when it ignores the plight of Spacenoids who make up the majority. The Feds kill Spacenoid civilians all the time and I don't hear anyone complaining about it. But then in CCA everyone's like
>baawwwwwww why is Char killing all of those 'innocent' civilians who still live on earth and refuse to get off the planet. bawwwwww
Since the OYW everything has been the Federation's fault. The Federation started the Gryps Conflict and Federation incompetence lead to the First Neo Zeon war. Haman was allowed to drop a colony on Dublin and took over the capital of Dakar. The useless politicians even willingly gave her the Core 3 colony and sided against Bright and the AEUG. The Federation caused the wars that made the people of Sweetwater refugees. And in return they can't even build a proper colony for them.
That's why Char and his political cabinet know they can out-smart the bureaucrats and trick them into selling Axis to Char's Neo Zeon. He used their own greed to exploit them. and unlike the Zeon of the past and the Titans; Char refuses to use colonies as weapons. He never harmed the Spacenoid people. That's why he targets the new Feddie capital in Tibet right away with Fifth Luna. and he was actually successful, he doesn't waste a colony, or drop it in the middle of nowhere like America's bread-basket or waste it on Dublin.
>He never harmed the Spacenoid people.
Tell that to those gunners from Side 2.
Half the colonies kept out of things BECAUSE they feared Zeonic reprisal. What happened there is proof that NZ wasn't afraid to spill some spacenoid blood to get what it wanted.
