Waiting on manga translation (more realistic) to lessen the pain of waiting on episode raws (far less realistic).
Starts airing October 2nd with 2 episodes.

I WANT TO FUCKING WATCH IT ALREADY
>It may not be that they're blood-related, but she might end up in an older sister role before becoming a love interest proper. Which would still fulfill Tomino's desire for an onee-san character.
That's what I imagine. It would be weird if she returned his feelings right off the bat.
I wouldn't mind if she took a mentor-like role to start off.
I'm trying not to let the fact that the Pirate Ship isn't CG here get my hopes up too high.
News on the manga translation:
I'm half way through it. As I said in the past thread, I cannot into editing, so I will only give you a text file. Wish I could work faster with it, but I'm still learning japanese, and I need help from my teacher with some tricky bits. Also, I'm not a native english speaker either, so I'm sorry for any possible mistake. I'm trying to do my best to not fuck up too much.
October is good this year
>Super Smash 3ds
>Legend of Korra book 4
I am ready
for Gundam's sake anon, you can't just imply that his legs are posed that way, so nonchalantly inviting someone to settle in there and tease out the lewdest string of gasps and moans from him.
More news: I'm almost done with the translation. I just need a little help from my teacher with a couple of things, and I'll upload it together with the RAW.
If everything goes acording to the plan, you'll have it by tomorrow morning.
>I assume it's from the proto version, "Hajimetai Capital G no Monogatari" which had plenty of little and not so little differences.
>Take for example Aida and Beryl Cronos, twin Princess and Prince. She was rising to power and he fought to champion her cause.
While I'm at it, proto-Grimoires.
They were only 8-9 meters tall and were used by the Capital forces rather than the pirates.
>tfw childhood friend/emergency food rations will never win
Captain of the pirate ship and some other characters are now up.
Where did find these?
are there more?
the grimoire is so sexy
I always thought the Megafauna captain would be the guy behind the actual Megafauna captain
Space Pope has the same last name as Noredo
I think this guy and Bell's mom are inquisitors for the ???? religion.
seems to be a surname from googling, so that makes it unisex.
>one of Aida's parents being in charge of the Amerian army ?????????
Google translate says Gushion Surugan.
A little google-fu leads to Gusion, the name of a Duke of Hell.
...It also tells me that Klim's dad's name is Zucchini Nikkini.
It's just because she doesn't have a husbandu to give her the meat. The thick, juicy, succulent meat, dripping with all its meaty, tasty goodness. Meat for days. Endless meat.
Though I'm still pretty sure that's her in a pilot suit.
the guy in blue looks so badass though, I'd feel bad for him to be a minor character or something. hell I even liked
cahilland he ended up dying in two episodes, what the fuck.
Aida is a Spanish name meaning help/aid.
Surjan (j pronounced as hard g) is a Spanish word meaning arising.
Reconguista could just be a word play on reconquista, which is spanish for "reconquest/recapture"
Help/aid in spanish means "ayuda" which could also be a word play (but a more drastic one)
And surgan is as I said a more complex translation than just "rise"
>Reconguista could just be a word play on reconquista, which is spanish for "reconquest/recapture"
Yeah, and Tomino said he's using it as rebirth rather than reconquest, so...
>Help/aid in spanish means "ayuda" which could also be a word play (but a more drastic one)
That's why I said name, not word. It's also italian and arabic, I just find it more likely that Tomino would go for the spanish one.
>And surgan is as I said a more complex translation than just "rise"
Could you elaborate on that? As we've established, you can only get so much out of translators.
>Could you elaborate on that?
Of course. Rise in spanish means "surgir" which is an infinitive verb. "Surgan" which by the RSA is actually "surjan" means that as well, but when refering to other people, particulary "they".
An example of this would be "when they rise - cuando ellos surjan"
Very possible, but they all have different meanings and I think the arabic version is pronounced ah-ee-dah rather than ay-dah.
>the arabic version is pronounced ah-ee-dah
But that's exactly how it's supposed to be, man. You can't really mess around with kana - if it were to be Ay-da it would've been written ???.
Aida is noticeably taller than Bell and that pleases me greatly.
Noredo being related to the pope gives me some hope she'll have her own character arc, rather than just being a side note in Bell's.
Are there more officla romanizations of those names? I'd love to have some of those for the translation.
BTW, sorry for not having uploaded it yet. I've been really busy today, and couldn't contact my japanese teacher. Now that I'm back home, I hope I can get it finished once and for all (I have a couple of problems with pages 56 and 58, and that's all).
And it's done. Chapter 1 of the manga and the translation in a text file. Replace the space with a dot and that's it.
Reminder: I'm not an english native speaker, and I'm still learning japanese, so any piece of advice is welcome.
The only error that stuck out to me was on 41
"It shoot!" should be either "It shot!" or "It's shooting!".
So, Bell was able to defeat Aida
because the G-Self wanted him to win.
Something like this.
Should I bother continuing or are you guys satisfied with the separate translation file?
IIRC, Towasanga is the Spacenoid remnant colony on the far side of the moon.
One more thing, actually.
Reguild should be Regild
Right, I'll change it. The entire thing should be done in an hour or two.
Lowe, just wondering, in page 7, why did you decide to translate it as "Bonze-head"? That's a really obscure, textbook term. Maybe Priest-head works better?
I hope we get a mobile armor themed after G-Recos space religion.
You can see a few here.
>The entire thing should be done in an hour or two.
Taking more time than I'd hoped, heh. Only at the halfway point so far. Worst case scenario, I'll finish it tomorrow morning.
Cont, because I send the message for some reason: It said that in japanese, and, where I live, kids my age were used to tthe word "bonze", because of Inuyasha. Also, Priest-head doesn't keep the same sense, to me, since catholic priests aren't completely bald.
Well, okay, though I like the guy who suggested "cue ball" too
Yeah, you know, I did some minor editing here and there, to make the text flow better.
No problem. As I said before, I'm no native english speaker, and I'm not (yet) a professional translator. The weird thing would be to not make any mistake.
Also, "Cue Ball" works with the meaning of that expression. Or maybe "Monk-head".
Welp, all done!
I love Bellri, he is just the craziest motherfucker around
THE SHOW CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH
Do the Beam Sabers come out of that thing around its neck?
so what I understand about Bellri is that he's
>Son of a major player in the Capital Government
>Prodigal genius who skipped 2 grades
>Well liked by everyone
>Connected to the G-Self in some way
A bit much right off the bat, but I'm still looking forward to what Tomino has in store for him.
>Tominio gets one last effort for pain...
Onechan Hips is gonna die, probably protecting Genki smile
>He's going to break down and cry.
>/a/ and /m/ bond and cry with him.
I liked how they changed it from the soldier kicking the cunt to kicking Nobell, wonder if it's due to backlash from the theatrical screening?
Twitter says they want to make Aida a character that's remembered, like Sayla or Haman.
Why would you say that? Other than the tiniest changes such as >>11373292 literally every scene we saw in the 10-minutes preview happened in this chapter, with the only manga-exclusive addition seems to be the part where Bellri talks to/about his mother (which I assume will also be in the full episode)
Or are you being sarcastic?
There are small differences, like derensen punching Bell instead of whipping. But the flow of the story is the same.
>Dat schoolgirl blush
I don't think it's going to be radically different, but there are plenty of little changes.
> the only manga-exclusive addition seems to be the part where Bellri talks to/about his mother (which I assume will also be in the full episode)
Why do you assume that? Even ignoring the fact that I don't think that preview was anything other than the first 10 minutes, when Dellensen tries to whip Bell in that lesson, it's clearly not because he was late. Plus none of the spoilers or screenshots indicate it's there.
Eh, given that one of the themes of the show is "one generation fucking up the world for the next" I don't see why she can't remain his mother, alive, and an antagonist.
And with Bell's, Cahill's, and Klim's failed rescue attempts, she's the one that gets herself free.
Having a rough time and being expressive doesn't make her a bad character.
Ten minutes preview:
The rest is just summaries, gifs, screenshots and the first manga chapter. So we already got the hang of the first couple of episodes.
It's youtube's automatic translation. Its garbage for all but the very simplest of phrases
Fucking best woman of the season.
This isn't going to be a big deal, right? Tomino said it was a long time ago in history and people have gotten over it like we've gotten over barbaric Aztec practices, right?
Seems food peeps are still considered second class citizens by non-food peeps. The Captial Army cap'n kicks whasherface specifically because she's food, and according to the bio page that post after the 2nd PV one of Bell's male classmates is a food peeps who's trying to overcome his status as a meal or some such by proving he's more then just a Lunchable™.
>The Kuntala are the people who became food when mankind turned to cannibalism at the brink of extinction. They represent the problem of racism, the horrors of the collapse of society, and the depths of human sin
>(Why go so far?) Because children in puberty watch anime. From Triton he learned that there's a strong possibility of anime speaking to children in puberty. Even if it's fantasy, a good story will make the viewer think of how to apply what they have learned to real life. There is a circuit in there that leads to the real world.
We don't have any official heights, but... >>11365101
Tomino is right, despite what some people might say "shock" is a good way of teaching kids lessons than just subtlety conveying it. Our brains are wired differently when we are younger so that is why such an approach no longer works once you are an adult. Tomino himself even says later on that he doesn't personally think Humanity could be that dark in the future, but that he is just using it to get his message across to the kids.
At least I'm actually in the target demographic. I'm 18. What are you, 30? Tomino's already decided that the story isn't for anyone over 20. He's decided that you're too old affect... that YOUR soul is bound by Earth's gravity.
Under certain manipulation, human meat is considered best in terms of nutritional value. However we have so many innate biological issues, that fruition of those things harmful (i.e. human version of Mad Cow) pops up and makes it some of the worst things to consume.
>mfw people think there's gonna be a Char in G-rekto
>Looks like someone gave it wings only because it's called "fighter", and fighters have them. Not because it needs them.
That's just what happens when they have anti-gravity drives. But you still need wings for ease of manoeuvrability, or you end up with round flying saucers that are notoriously bad in turbulence.
Tomino makes the best Char clones though.
Aida's ass makes me hungry too, anon.
Thinking about it, Noredo will probably end in many guro doujin, with her being a Kuntara and all that. I don't wanna see that, I find her cute
Great Mechanics interview
???????? @Char_Tweet · 3 ??
>Gais, Imma gonna make lots of romance like in ya favourite gook soap operas, yo!
>Destroing any chance of developed romance including main characters.
that would be a Quattro clone, though. Not just because of the shades vs helmet aesthetic, but Harry had no overly ambitious leanings, he had a pretty clear, limited scope in mind for himself. It was grand as fuck, he was grand as all hell, but he knew his place in the world and was a-ok with it.
