> posting the Mk-II hybrid version instead of the original

You might as well just post the Mk-II at that point, since it has a lot more in common with that than the Barzam really and certainly gets rid of it's most unique feature. Also, are there even any non-Titan Feddie mono-eyes?
>>
>>11176332
Doesn't the Jegan technically have a monoeye under it's visor?
>>
>>11176332
Do you mean used by the EF but not the Titans, or something not made specifically by the Titans? Because the Hizack and Asshimar would fall in to the latter category.
>>
>>11176336

I believe Jegans, and most Federation machines not Gundams use compound type sensors.

Jegans/Rezel/Jesta, etc. grunts from that CCA/UC period seem to have one big camera among other smaller cameras under their visors that doesn't move.

A model kit isn't really proof, that looks like the slot you plug the visor into to hold it on.

Also, pic related is the only Feddie Mono-Eye MS that matters.

Says the person who posts a scratchbuild model of an obscure mech that only appears in one non-canon game.

I'm not using it as proof of an MS design feature based on the plugs in the kit's head.

Go right on keep being jelly of how fucking sexy the design is, though.

Sisquiede was in two games, just FYI.

Eh, doesn't seem like you need that sort of muzzle for beam shots. But whatever goes in the gundam world I guess.

Jegan does have a monoeye under the visor, but the head still has multiple cameras resulting in compound sensor system, including a large square camera just above the visor.

Jesta which is partly derived from Jegan also has a single glowing eye behind the visor.

Seeing as Mk II is my favorite Gundam, why wouldn't the Mono-eye version be my favorite mono-eye?

Also, Fujioka version is better than original by far.

This is completely arbitrary but a "monoeye" to me isn't just a single eye, but a single eye on a track like the Zaku, Dom, Asshimar, etc Though Asshimar actually has multiple eyes in case the main one is damaged.

That's the classic definition, although in recent years different types of monoeyes have been created
>>
>>11176839
It shoots beams. It can shoot normal beam rifle style shots, or larger hyper launcher style beams. The big bulbous part on it is an I-Field Generator.
>>
I'd post mine, but OP already did it. Instead, have a Hizack Custom.

Also have some Hizacks. They're the Zaku after some time at the gym. Still not perfect, but just stronger looking.

Not him, but its not a plug for the visor. Its actually a molded detail under the visor. Nothing plugs into it. And here's a technical data thing showing it.

Pretty much everyone seems to have their own take on whats under a gm visor, but jegan pretty much always features a big, monoeye like camera.

original GM had gundam dualeyes, so that confuses some people
>>
>>11178078
Depends on the source. Some models and manuals show "eyes", some technical data shows a cut away with a big monoeye, and some stuff shows a bar like visor.

Seems to depend on the artist.
>>
>>11178087
Uh, no, it depends on the machine. The GM series almost always had dual eyes. Jegan series which was an AE design have mono eyes.

For example, here's an old page with a cut away that features two large eye like sensors/ cameras of some kind, but a monoeye like camera in the middle as well. Its still a vanilla gm, but it differs greatly from the more modern model you posted.

And while not vanilla gm, heres gm command with a mono eye.
>>
>>11178109
Actually, modern depictions still show the circular object in between and slightly higher than the two eyes.
>>
>>11178131
If anyone can read Japanese, we can find out what objects #2 and #4 do and what the difference is.
>>
>>11178126
GM Command has always had a monoeye behind the visor, it seems.
>>
And the C type retains the same sensor layout as the original GM.
>>
>>11178131
Id imagine 2 provides imaging to the cockpit while 4 are various sensors
>>
Unsurprisingly, GM Sniper II has a monoeye, being largely based on the GM Command.

The two large square things seem to have been replaced with a couple smaller camera sensor things though.

And for the record, I'm not really trying to start an argument or anything. Just pointing out whats "under the hood" on a lot of the stuff from the original series has changed over the years depending on the artist doing it, typically becoming more detailed as years go by. And I swear I remember seeing a cutaway of a regular GMs head with just a monoeye and some sensors, but that may have been a ground gm or command.

Also how do you guys feel about gundams with mono eyes?
>>
>>11177347
I like how the Asshimar looks kind of like the Rick Dom's inner city cousin from the 90s with his big puffy yellow hoodie

Hmm, that flies in the face of the usual "twin forward camera eyes are for depth perception" thing.
