Take a game like Battle Operation, which is mainly online. You hire people to translate all of the text into English and you have a small team of developers make those changes.

Same thing for the card game, except you have to hire a bunch of translators to translate hundreds of cards from Japanese to English, in addition to translating all of the UI elements.

As far as that aspect of localization goes, it really just depends on which takes longer.

It's worse than that. You can have a max of 30 free cards, some of the better cards don't come in free versions, and the free versions are "slightly weaker" than non-free ones.

On top of that, when you have real cards, you can link up to three real copies of a mass production MS (i.e. all but the best) to one digital version of that card, levelling it up and increasing its stats. You can do the same with pilot cards to level up their abilities.

So protip: You can keep scrapping and restarting your account as many times as you want. Definitely suggesting that everyone does so until their first rental pull is something decent.

Also, another protip: Move Karen into the Ground-type Gundam ASAP. It's her Custom Unit, and you're better off with her in a stronger suit that stays out of the way while still doing full damage anyway.

After about 20 minutes of (very quickly) deleting and re-starting my data, I got myself an EZ-8! Seriously, everyone should do this until they get an R4 to start with.

Oh yeah, the english on the cards is perfectly fine. The optimistic part of me wants to hope that translations are just taking longer then expected, the fact that the english Gundam Info site is putting english adds for it on their home page does make me hopeful.

On the other hand, this is the same company that cancelled Mobile Ops without so much as an announcement, and that game's japanese counterpart, Operation Troy, had all the tutorials in english, so you never know what to expect.

Only ones we were given were the strike rouge & casval which I believe were standard issue across other countries to be used as promo cards. Gunpla is starting to kick off recently with the GBWC's/BAKUC. Other merchandise such as figures, anime itself I would say are mediocre at best in terms of selling... but gunpla is definitely the largest part of Gundam from what I've seen.

I would say the only reason we might have gotten them before NA might have been because shipping from SEA > Austraila would have been faster than SEA > America.

We had the starter pack for 3 weeks I think (from memroy). We were just told to hand out the promo cards to people that purchase 2 starter packs. I'm not too sure what you mean by that. But i know for a fact that newly released models come directly from Japan, I am talking about pre-release of models that have not hit the release date shelves yet. However a large proportion (if not all) of the 're-release' models do come from Phillipines.

And bootleg models are very obvious, their package as well as mould quality/materials are very different.

And i know for a fact that good games (i dont think NA has this brand, but basically a TCG/CCG/Boardgame chain store) is pretty much the only other store besides us that stock the cards. I also find it silly the price of the cards, i think for us it goes for like $22 or something a starter pack? Which for a DIGITAL card game i kind of find to be pretty ridiculous... Like just a comparison a starter pack for MTG would cost you around that and you can actually get somewhere with that one 'starter deck'

Man I just got lucky.

I've been debating on if I should pull MS or Pilot for the one that just refreshed. I only have like 5 pilots, so I was really hesitant.

But I went with MS, and nabbed this baby. Which should probably be a very sought-after R3 for anyone starting out, since you're guaranteed to have the matching pilot.

Just done a little bit of battle conquest. I think It will always be fun to accidentally meet an enemy who had strong mobile suits but with low force gauge/resource after they had some other battle before me.

No problem. And so you know, just doing random fights against people doesn't do anything except test your deck out whenever you want. If you want xp, you gotta do Conquest, and if you want bonus cards, you gotta do the Battle Mission. Although you do get 2 free rental pulls a day.

That said, first thing you should do is the tutorial fights, which are found in Troop Exercise > Participation > click on the big Basic Knowledge of Battle button to the side. You get a rental card after the fourth and sixth fights. You don't even have to win them. Just complete them. I think the first is always an MS and the second is always a pilot.

Also, don't forget that each mode's Formation option has Attack and Defense squads, and you can set under what conditions your squad will swap and what their target priority is.
