What's the coolest way to deliver mechs to the battlefield?
I'd argue through Airborne operations, but you rarely ever see those...
teleporation
Drop Pod. Always go with the Drop Pod. Feet first into hell and all that, yeah?
railgun
>>11106125
orbital insertion
>>11106125
Zeta-style self-sufficient atmospheric re-entry with another mech riding on its back. You wouldn't believe how hard that gets me. I don't understand why they don't do it more
By them just flying there.
Maybe Gundam has spoiled me, but I fucking hate watching long, drawn out scenes of mechs getting to the battlefield.
Fuck that, that's boring as fuck, show me the ACTUAL battle, not the boat ride over to it.

>Airborne operations, but you rarely ever see those...
You've obviously never watched a Ryosuke Takahashi anime.

>>11106168
You can tell and arc of Votoms ended when these paratrooper guys show up and level the whole place. Every fucking time.
>>11106125
>I'd argue through Airborne operations, but you rarely ever see those...
VOTOMS has at least one in the original series, and I can distinctly remember multiple in the Pailsen Files. Speaking of which. Landing craft kick ass for mech-ops.

Real men ride each other into the battlield
>>11106186
That's how you know Kamille's a man
>>11106191
>>11106184
As >>11106182 said, one tends to happen whenever a VOTOMS arc reaches the climax.
Furthermore, a bunch happen in Dougram too, and Combattlers always get trucked around in helicopters.

Impact and exit style, like 40k, or the kind that blow open in the air, like Starship Troopers and the very beginning of SEED?

Pillars of light in the midst of the enemy forces; watching the enemy force scramble to attack at whatever things just came out of those pillars while those that came out of the pillars proceed to rape and annihilate.
Followed up by a metal rain of pods that tank interception fire and release their deadly machines onto the hapless masses.
Subway
Everything about Gypsy Danger's first deployment.

Gotta love the Prairie Dog.

Launched from a stealth sub using boosters.

I prefer the other style. Feels more dynamic.

I have always like how Armored Core do it, with helicopters, more on V/VD because I love the desing of the carriers, and now they give the sensation that they can save the AC even during a fight, probably dangerous and hard, but still
HALO insertion like Banshee in Episode 5.
>>11106125
Underground
Has there been any shows featuring Wing-in-Ground-Effect craft as delivery vehicles?
Shoot them at whatever needs fucking up, either by linear catapult or railgun or whatever. Just make sure they're going at least mach 2 out the gate.
I always liked catapulting your mech into the battle the most. Captain Earth is really doing it for me because of this.
>>11108201
I still think that's a terrible idea.
Ballistic missiles
>What's the coolest way to deliver mechs to the battlefield?
In the heat of battle.
>>11106196
>Amuro, Scirocco, Kamille, Jerid, and Kakricon gangbang Emma & Sarah & Haman
Has a doujinshi done this because this is basically as good as it gets.

Paraglider landing.
Mechs with paragliders.

Happened a few times over the course of Patlabor's TV run, as well as the intro of the first movie.

Seconding.

That's the way drop pods worked in the Starship troopers book. The fragments of the pod as it split apart also served as radar chaff to protect the trooper inside from anti-air attacks.
It makes a lot more sense really, impact and exit would just kill the trooper with the excessive G-forces. The pod is really only necessary to protect the trooper during re-entry, after that the trooper should use a parachute or retro-rockets.

This. This right here.
>>11109012
I'm sitting here, pondering that picture.
It is stupid in so many different ways it's amazing.
>>11109681
classic way is best way
I'm torn between
>Any aerial drop, may it be orbital drop or parachuted in
and
>underground delivery where their pods crack open the earth surface, opens up to reveal a squad and proceed to wreck havoc
