>Gundam G-Alcane: has Anti-ship Beam Rifle that has 2 modes(normal and Beam Sword Mode). Has MA mode and a shield
-Montero Klim Nick Custom: Beam Javelin is housed in 2 parts in large shields. Beam Javelin emits Beam Wire. Has Rifle(unknown if Beam or solid) and 6 grenades on hips. Now we know there are other customs or at least a base unit
-G-Self Atmospheric Pack: has Photon Armor(neon parts)
-Grimoire: has Sub Machine Gun with Beam Wire capabilites. Spherical cockpit is called Nucleus. Also has a shied and combat knife.
fucking love this design, it's "realistic" while still coool, the browns would normally be boring but the white head and magenta detailing keep it interesting
and the best part is
to me it looks like an advanced acguy with a fuckhuge haro for a torso
It looks more like an Arm Slave instead of a Mobile Suit and I'm absolutely fine with that.
supposedly something about trying to make mobile suits smaller, lighter, and faster targets because beams rendered armor useless anyway
in reality I hear it was because bandai wanted a smaller size of models while keeping them 1/100 scale, but I don't see how that makes sense when the 1/144 scale of gunpla has been around since the early 90s and possibly even before
With the ability to produce miniaturized reactor and the advent of beam weapons that can penetrate bulky armor easily, it's more favorable to produce smaller (and faster) suits to minimize target, but can also defend if needed with its beam shield.
But the real reason is toy.
>tfw Mocks really were depicting next gen mooks
Start hunting. Maybe the Grimoire is in here somewhere.
Now lemme list what we can do with this one
>magnetize it to create the most flexible gunpla ever
>all sorts of ball customs, most of them with subarms on the chest
>haro-customs, including the Bug.
This one is the best of the current lot, as far as customs are concerned.
Presence of the Nucleus implies frequent swapping of top and bottom parts, or some form of multi-use transformation like the G-armors from 0079.
Sounds spookily plausible.
Okay then. I suppose the Self is important to the moral of the series then.
Which one is piloted by which of the two main characters?
Booster pack kits of low-quality sprues, which allow you to buy one at $15 and get enough parts to make 1.5 Mocks. Each pack has randomized sprues and they become like the Lego of Gundam.
ehh, the ball seems more like an escape pod or standardized chest module than anything else
maybe there can be project V style shenanigans (guntank torso on guncannon legs, gundam torso on guntank treads) by mismatching mobile suit tops and bottoms
>on Guntank treads
Seriously though. Those modular hijinks result in some hilarious shit. I would be totally OK with them bringing back the Core Fighter system.
I'm still waiting for this form.
Confirmed model buy.
>Big fuck-off space gun
>Interesting head design.
The only thing I could complain about would be the thin hip, but meh. That's just normal these days.
It looks like a high-tier OG design to me. Sexy as fuck
People keep saying G-Arcane will be Aida's, but I'd put money on it belonging to the enemy ace, maybe that not-Anemone/Cynthia.
The Capital Guard just had the G-Self dropped into their laps, I imagine they tried to make some derivative suits from it.
I wonder if the Montero and Grimoire run the same core block system?
Maybe one of us just has abnormal color perception but G-Arcane is too reddish to be considered orange. THIS on the other is a pretty straight shade of orange.
As part of it's assault pack (red one with the 2 by it).
A lot of shit in G-Reco seems designed to kill ships.
Just doesn't look like a suit in Gundam. Not a bad thing, I guess. Just hope they keep the "machine" and "suit" aspect as opposed to Eva's organic feel.
Models articulate just fine, especially MGs.
A beam sabre would have a defined length where it ends, and could possibly be reshaped.
At least in UC, a sabre would be a length of contained plasma and a beam shot is a stream of unconstrained high energy particles
Bend the torso forward, tilt the head all the way back, make his arm go across the shoulder, get an A stance with the feet flat to the ground and the legs at an angle greater than 90 degrees
I mostly meant functionally, like in the opposite sense that the chainsaw in Doom was a minigun gun with a foot of range. Once your sword starts to approach the reach of a beam spray gun, it's probably safer to use it for longer-range "thrust" attacks rather than wide swings that slice through miles of terrain.
While all of those things would be impressive feats, you'd be hard pressed to find an actual pose that both incorporated them and didn't look like cartridge tipping. Most people just pose them with a gun in their hand or something, and all but the oldest or clunkiest gunpla do that just fine.
