For example, ?????????? is credited to Go Nagai on its cover, but Dynamic Pro doesn't list it as a Nagai work and it's pretty easy to tell that it by Ishikawa due to the art. Same thing with Getter Robo Saga.

Works that were actual collaborations between Ken Ishikawa and Go Nagai are listed as such on Nagai's manga bibliography as ???:??

There are two Mazinger manga series by Go Nagai. The original from Shounen Sunday and the one in Terebi Magazine. The original Mazinger chapters haven't been fully collected until a year or two ago. The version that was scanlated as some original Mazinger chapters but then suddenly switches to the Terebi Magazine chapters. Which is why there are some abrupt changes and dropped plot points.

I would love an anime of Great-hen, but if I was Go Nagai, I would never risk it.

Given the number of animated episodes/live action series Dynamic Pro releases every year, I assume the company doesn't make a lot of money from the sponsors or the toys. I bet Shin Mazinger was a huge project for them considering it was 26 episodes long.

Every year since 1998, Dynamic Pro would release at least some decent quality anime or live action stuff.

But for the first time since 2011, we've sort of experienced a drought.

2012 had a low budget Kekko Kamen movie.

2013 had Mazinger ZIP, a low budget flash comedy anime.

2014 saw the release of Robot Girls Z. This was only 3 episodes long, and I'm pretty sure it was all Toei's doing.

Instead of Great-hen, Go Nagai is better off concentrating on the Mazinger live action movie. It will provide a closure to the whole saga which can finally be put to rest.

Second, he should totally do an animated Devilman series as well. 12 episodes should be enough, to at least wash the bad taste of the 2004 movie off. Again, this will be Devilman's closure.

And finally, he needs to do a new Grendizer anime. It doesn't have to be big budgeted. It can just be a 40 minutes OVA with Duke Fleed taking a shit on his home planet. This will really provide closure to fans around the world. (Like Wasim and the likes. He went nuts now because Nagai wouldn't provide him this satisfaction)

And of course, Gekiman! IS the most definitive manga of his career. Go Nagai probably realizes that he doesn't have much time left, and has decided to record his life on paper.

Once he does all these, he'll be free to hang his boots whenever.

When he finally draws his last breath, he'll have people rebooting his works like RE:Cyborg 009 a decade later.

There are essentially two threads that will explode on /m/ once they happen.

1. Uncle Go dies for real.
2. Tomino dies for real.

And when those two actually happen, I bet your ass that you'll still be here (With your kids).

Sayaka is the second best pilot in Mazinger Z, second only to Kouji who also happens to be in a vastly superior machine. She has taken down mechanical beasts and is more helpful than any of Kouji's other allies.

In the manga, Kouji and Sayaka are an openly flirtatious couple and get along quite well. Sayaka does get reduced to a captive that needs to be saved at times, but the same can be said of all of Kouji's friends and allies. Her TV portrayal is different in that she and Kouji do not always agree, but they do get over their differences and learn important lessons yada yada it's a Saturday morning cartoon show.

Go Nagai is probably one of the biggest pioneers of putting females in powerful roles in anime/manga. His works were very controversial and popular, and he's known for his capable female leads. Who tend to be lesbians and fight against perverted/twisted men. Hell, Devilman Lady explored the damage of rape trauma and Jun's distrust of men.
