FMP is 12 vols long the first season adapted 1-3 while the second raid adapted 4 and 5
it seems like next season they are going to start with 7
6 is currently being done as an audio drama so it might be semi-important to the plot

here is the link there are currently 11 episodes of the audio drama ranging between 12-20 minutes
I downloaded the subs off youtube so they might not be 100% accurate but it should help with the timing of episodes
I couldn't extract the japanese subs for episodes 3 and 4

I don't like the art direction. It takes Go Nagai's distinct visual style and *completely* throws it out for something that looks pretty generic. But everything else about it seems really promising, so I'll definitely be checking it out. The most it'll cost me is time.

I don't care about the art style, but they did ruin Ryo and Akira's character designs.

Love 0079's. I'm not a big fan of Zeta outside Swagtimus and Amuro, the later who later got a role that I thought fit much better in Shinn. Even Pappy's was vastly improved between between Zeta and DWG's reprisal, with DWG2 having best English Kamille IMO.

They aren't consistent in keeping the same VAs though, what with Unicorn, Origin and the new Seed redub.

the 0079 dub is good (TV not movies) , but keep in mind that they didn't dub one of the episodes (Tomino requested that)
as for zeta just stick with the sub (or rewatch the movie trilogy if you haven't)

Why do people like showa It's not as if though I hate Showa, there's just legitimately nothing interesting that it can offer me.
I just can't sit down and watch 50 episodes of extremely formulaic and objectively bad acting and writing with little to no hook besides "hey im watching old thing this is neat i am so patrician". I'm not enough of a masochist to subject myself to that and I don't care enough about the opinions of others online to try and gain their approval by pretending that I think Showa rider is in any way actually better than any Heisei

Talking about Main Riders only I'd probably agree about Skyrider. It's not horrible but I feel like the colors are too mismatched and he doesn't stand out enough from the other Showa Riders. The polka dot scarf is also an odd choice.

Talking Rider in general, though, there's no end to the forms that would give him a run for his money in the ugliness department. There's handfuls of V-cinema forms to choose from, to start with.

Ex-Aid is the only rider who I'd ever say I don't like the look of. It's so gaudy looking, and all of his Action X forms look like blow-up dolls.

pretty sure the only thing /m/ generally agrees on are the Gasaraki mecha, Shirow's Landmates, Scopedogs, and powered armor.

basically, anything that stands up can be tripped. anything with joints can be crippled by small arms. anything with a head can be killed in one shot, and anything with hands is a waste of fucking money.

The only reason soldiers are shaped like human beings because they ARE human beings. battlefield robots are no humans, so have no obligation to look like them.

having said that, your pic is a pretty good attempt. when designing a mech, you really have to ask why your machine needs legs, rather than treads or wheels.

apart from balance issues and weak knee and ankle joints, standing actually takes power. even four-legged animals have to sit, or lay down, after awhile. what does your mech gain by making itself taller and more vulnerable? honestly, why not just strap some dynamite to an RC car?

Yeah, after spending the whole series up until that point always being the goody two shoes and trying to get everyone to solve things peacefully it was great when she finally just fucking snapped and (apparently) incinerated her best friend right there on the spot.

Haven't actually played it, but I really like what they did with the game. They got a good variety of robot armies these days and a couple of really nice designs in there.
