What was the purpose of this character again?
>>15787820
You gotta have blue hair.
>>15787823
But we already did
>>15787820
Tits
How does /m/ summon their mech for battle?
Strike a pose and shout a few lines in Hebrew (my parents were religious fanatics).
This hand of mine is burning red! It's loud "REEEE" tells me to slay the newfags! Here I go! Burning CLOVER!!!
>>15787492
With my milkshake, as it brings all the mechs to the yard.
Beautiful German mecha embodying the Teutonic school of military robotics;)
Is there still a bright model of mass produced military mecha from other countries?
>>15787291
Don't mind me, just conquering the rest of the world.
>>15787291
>literally a mechanized Nazi
How original, we haven't seen the same shit done better a thousand times before, right?
>>15787291
>>15787314
Germans name their land combat vehicles after cats, OP.
You're walking in the street and you see something that looks like a small angora animal loudly rummaging on the ground.
As you get closer you realize it's actually major Kusanagi's disembodied head yelling and cursing because nobody's picking her up.
What do you do?
Ask her where she needs to go and take her there. Like a normal person would. Are you trying to see if I'm a skinjob or the sort of person who'd give a serious answer to a roleplaying question on 4chan?
>>15787237
>like a normal person would
does that mean you're a normal person?
>>15787225
What do you mean, "I'm not helping it?!?"
>>15786853
I mean, just look at the design on the left. Anyone who tells you that this look in any way good must suffer from some severe mental disability. I'd love to see the sort of clothes these people leave the house in. The Zeta Gundam was the first mech in Gundam that didnt look like complete shit. Fucking hell, look at this cardbox design.
When all the writers are fired.
>>15786853
Have you watched AGE?
What separates a "modern" mecha from an "old-school" one?
>>15786605
Design choices, mainly. One of the best examples I can think of as a more modern design choice are the fin legs/feet you see on things like Orbital Frames, Arc Gurren Lagann, and Linebarrel.
>>15786605
Assuming you're not talking about Super Robots:
Old school: Clunky and simple but still looks functional
Modern: Cluttered shit that tries to look more realistic but has the opposite effect
Your pic is a perfect example of everything wrong with modern robots
>>15786628
Why the exception for Supers?
I've never gone on this board before but I'm curious, what do you guys think of Battletech?
literal garbage
macross/dougram/zabunguru rip off.
>>15786359
Ignore the above two shitters, we love BattleTech here.
>Crab
Excellent taste, friend.
What could that secret GM gunpla be?
>>15786347
An Ideon?
>>15786347
a miserable pile of grunts
>>15786347
A really really big GM
Neo Neo Zeon did nothing wrong
>>15785934
should've denounced the zeon name (zabis ruined it forever) and started fresh.
'republic of casval' anyone?
>>15785947
How about the Scarlet Zeeks? Anyways Char needed to keep the Zeon name to attract followers. The only reason his Zeon movement was considered legitimate was because he was the son of Zeon.
>>15785934
If you think about it both sides share the blame, you have one side that's corrupt, and you have a faction on the other side that's very very colony drop happy
Anyone else think that the ancestors of the Seven Stars only joined the Calamity war late?
The fact that the only known Seven Stars Gundam is number 66 seems slightly suspicious.
>bunch of self-serving assholes wait patiently to swoop in like vultures while their adversaries & political enemies fight each other
>come out looking like the heroes who saved humanity with minimal losses sustained
It wouldn't be surprising.
Not necessarily.
The Seven Stars organization is named after the Order of the Seven Stars, which people get from killing the most mobile armors. Given the complexity of the later suits, Flauros and Kimaris, over the earlier models, Bael and Barbatoss, it's quite likely that the later suits were better at killing mobile armors without dying in the process.
I mean, in world, only about thirty of the 72 Gundams were operational in IBO. That's a pretty significant attrition rate.
>>15784996
The fact that they made their leadership over Gjallarhorn hereditary makes any altruism suspect, plus they immediately made the control system that gave them said power illegal.
Why do tanks always portrait as inferior to mechs in both technology and combat prowess?! This piss me off so much1
>>15784900
Because they can't walk.
>>15784900
Tanks are a meme. Planes are the masterrace. Even boats are better than tanks because they can carry planes.
>>15784900
You keep making this thread christ man calm down
/m/ I've been away for a while, like 2012. Can you reccomend me some genuinely good shows? Something fun, action packed and where you feel the production team were happy doing this shit.
>>15784818
Whatever gets suggested to you, someone else will call it shit.
Incomprehensible in G
>>15784822
You whiners are part of the problem.
>>15784818
First seasons of Valvrave and Aldnoah.Zero.
If there is one thing that make Amuro stand above other Gundam protagonists, it is that we can see him suffered war, recovered from it, and grew as a person.
The real reason why people hate that "High school boy fall into the cockpit" trope is because almost no other show has did it as well as 0079.
>>15784480
Nearly all gundam protagonists go through that cycle though. Kamille and Judau for example are both more or less forces into piloting, lose someone important to them, struggle with the reality of war, and finally gain some sort of acceptance with it. I think what makes Amuro so popular is that he was the first to do all that, but more importantly we get to see him at multiple points in his life and watch him cope with everything in his past as an adult. Few newtypes survive that long to make such progress. Imagine what Kamille would be like in his twenties.
>>15784599
The problem with Kamille was he got vegetabled and shoved off-screen just as he was about to really reach the moment of true maturation, which was a damned shame because it could have been brilliant.
>>15784480
As the other anon stated many, and almost all gundam and mecha MCs go through this.
Uso, Loran, Setsuna, etc.

dropped
The animation sure is some janky Sidonia-tier stuff, which is bizarre for a movie.
>Medabots is still a thing in Japan
What the shit?
Well, barely, the developer making the mainline games went bankrupt and the publisher was absorbed into their parent company recently. The series is probably gonna go dormant for a couple years again.
>>15783896
Still more than anything in the west.
I can't even find anyone who remembers Medabots in any form.
Go get your friends.
