/m/ loves Concrete Revolutio, right? I think it's a brilliant series. To the untrained eye it might just seem like random madness but when you look closely at it you realize it's intricately crafted like a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle. Everything is intertwined flawlessly. And on top of that it's chock full of retro mecha throwbacks so I'd expect a mecha fan to love it even just for that.

didn't we literally just have this topic?
The Evangelions are humanoid because they were cloned from Adam, who was humanoid.
But what if Gehirn had used a nonhumanoid Angel as it's DNA source?
What sort of nonhumanoid angels would you like to see Eva-ized clones of?
Not /m/

If that were true then a lot of things would not be on this board. Then again, some people think speed racer is /m/.

So Lateura is preggers with Kelly's baby now. What future leader does he grow up to be? You know she's gonna be antiFeddie with all that gold she got from Kelly!
Rebellion has so much cool shit in it.
Val Varo will get upgraded too

>There were plans for a live action hollywood Gundam back in the 80s
What do you think of this /m/?
>>15095874
>Gundam by Lionsgate
Can you imagine a Gundam done ala Chronicle or Cloverfield?
This script sounds absolutely bonkers.
Char and "Amaru" are brothers?
Gundam variants like the "Gungrenadier" and "Gunfighter?"
No Zeon at all?
>>15095874
I like some of the concepts, honestly I mean yeah they changed it and such but some of it sounds neat, don't know if it would of been worth a shit, and not really much of an adaption as much as a reimagining, but sounds like it could of been cool, maybe not so much as Gundam but as something.

Gunbuster or Diebuster?
It's one of the most hilarious satires of mecha anime I've ever seen next to G-Reco.
So, I watched Gunbuster and Diebuster.
I enjoyed Gunbuster a lot, good characters, artstyle and emotional moments, it made me cry like a bitch.
Diebuster was terrible though, I won't even regard it as a sequel, since it has almost nothing to do with the original, and it doesn't even make sense as a sequel. So, 12.000 years later and mankind's technology barely evolved, they only got stronger/smaller mecha and colonies in other planets, and the monsters are still coming anyways? They really tried to take away all the importance of Gunbuster's ending huh?
So, what do you guys think?
>>15094820
Can't say I agree. Was Diebuster as good as Gunbuster? Probably not. But it was still goddamn good, and it sure as hell didn't "try to take away the importance of Gunbuster's ending." If anything, it made that ending hit harder.
>>15094820
Both are good but Diebuster was better than Gunbuster.
>So, 12.000 years later and mankind's technology barely evolved, they only got stronger/smaller mecha and colonies in other planets, and the monsters are still coming anyways? They really tried to take away all the importance of Gunbuster's ending huh?
Try paying attention the next time.

So you didn't watch either show then?
Is Bubblegum Crisis /m/? I watched the original OVA recently and fucking loved it, though I wish it had been properly finished.
>tfw it's 30 years old this year

BGC is definitely /m/ and one of my favorites. With Sonoda as character design, it's hard to go wrong. The fanservice is great and always leaves me wanting more, which is a shame the doujinshi for it are few and far between. If you do decide to watch Crash, keep in mind it's controversial.
>>15094490
Of course it is. Cyborgs, power armor, and designs by the likes of Sonoda, Aramaki, and Obari; I dare anyone to say it isn't.
>>15095879
>keep in mind it's controversial
Let OP figure that out.
Lay it on me, /m/. Where can I get my fix of giant vidya robots right now for PC?
>>15090891
Take a look at Titanfall 2, it's not the best, but it's pretty fun.
There's some fan made mech warrior game with out of mech combat and tanks, pretty sure it's a mod for some other game, supposedly it's better than official mech warrior games, google that if you're interested.
There's a wanzer mod for Arma 3, pretty sure it's only single player though.
But if you want some really good mech games look into emulating PS1/PS2, and using a PS3 for Armored Core.
Not aware of much else at the moment, my PC is dead.
>>15090925
Is Titanfall actually any good? The first one too, I guess since I never played that, either.
Emulation.
Armored Core 3 on PSP
Metal Warrior on SNES
On Steam, maybe Brigador. It's an isometric top-down game, but does have plenty of robots and explosions.
Why is Viper such a hero?
The SBFP LP of this game was some of the fiercest unpaid shilling I've ever seen, and it worked.
I need to get a copy of this game. It's clear the devs had FUN injected directly into their veins from start to finish.

Sure, she was in a unique one-off mech displayed to be leagues ahead of the competition, but some people don't even manage that while in the same situation.

Second thread here since old reached bump limit. Stand by for Episode 30.

A pair of bumbling thieves attempt to steal something valuable from a technology research company, ending up with one of them thrown into a chamber and suddenly encased in a suit with the kanji for "GOD"on it. Imbued with unbelievable super strength, it turns out that the suit is a technology very similar to the Solid Suit technology. Designed for deep sea work, the suit is running out of air. If Solbrain doesn't find the hapless criminal, who's suddenly become a force for good, in four hours, he'll suffocate. But a strange cult has been looking for this chance for quite some time, and they're not ready to let their new God go!
Notes:
I make no attempt to hide the fact that I think that Nobuo Ogizawa is the best writer in Rescue Police. His stories are always amazing, and you're about to get two Nobuo Ogizawa episodes in a row. Remember what I said about his episodes having a completely ridiculous premise, and then being an amazing and touching piece about the human experience? This is one of those episodes. A pair of goofy crooks get their hands on a piece of technology -- one crook played by Inspector Rokkaku's actor from Winspector -- and suddenly the one who's been a loser all his life suddenly finds himself with the ability to help other people and get rewarded for it.
"GOD" on the chest is the kanji for "KAMI" as in Kamikura Industries, the name of the company that developed the suit. Of course, it also means GOD, which is why everyone assumes him to be the Almighty.
The Happy Come Come Cult in this episode is a mishmash of various New Religious Movements in Japan. At this point in time, it was probably a mixture of Happy Science and AUM Shinrikyo, the latter of which became infamous for the Shinjuku subway attacks many years later.
I think this episode is amazing. I hope you enjoy it,
Neat! Thank you!
>>15077457
>Happy Science
lol I got some stuff from them a few years back, they did some English language push and ended up with one of my press-ish contact emails
I really love Char's Counterattack.
Char's Neo Zeon is full of swag ass shit. Char is hot. Nanai is hot. Gyunei is hot. Even that one bitch is kind of hot. Tons of sexy MSes and ships.
Londo Bell is full of bad ass shit. Ra Cailum is ballin'. Peak Amuro and Bright. The Nu Gundam and Re-Gz are both pretty boss, as is the Jegan.
The politics are pretty neat IMHO and the movie is full of pathos. The final 20 minutes are so fucking good I can't control myself.
Quess is certainly a weak point, but I can forgive her. She isn't THAT bad and I think Tomino thought there is some important message with her character... though I'm still not sure what.
>>15077344
Man the Zeon characters sans Char were shit in this
>>15077374
nope
>>15077344
>She isn't THAT bad and I think Tomino thought there is some important message with her character... though I'm still not sure what.
The message was that Tomino was SICK OF THESE KIDS AND THEIR LIES
What does /m/ think of Mazinger ZERO's inclusion in SRW?
Do you think manga series should be part of it?
Sure.
Some element of the manga... sure.
The full story it's complicated, but they can do it.
There's been manga in SRW before ZERO.
