Rules:
Pick any 1/144 or 1/100 kit from the Graze family (Pic Related), and paint and customize it. As far as customizing it, I'm going to place a limit on that. The limit is 50% additions to the kit.
To define 50%, look at it like this, you could take a Graze Ritter and replace the arms (including shoulders), legs, and backpack and I'd call that 50%. I'm not counting handheld bits in that. If you're unsure of something please ask in IRC, the thread, or email.

Macross Plus is one of my all time favorite anythings for the following reasons:
- One of the finest examples of hand drawn animation in mecha animation, especially in the combat sequences.
- Dat misguided 90's futurism.
- The YF-19 is the sexiest transforming fighter jet/robot ever and I want to fuck it.
- The visual storytelling in scenes like the fistfight, when the stuck up designer of the YF-19 grins at the screen (he's supposedly watching with disdain) when his plane breaks the arm of the competition. Also in that scene, the SFX work is amazing. The sound of metal warping/failing when the arm breaks is the icing on the cake.
- The music, good god. Especially "Dog Fight."
- The high personal stakes mixed with playfulness of the final dogfight, like they're finally just having at it and convinced they're trying to finally kill each other once and for all, but of course they really aren't.
- I'm just gonna say it, the dub is amazing. Bryan Cranston does an amazing job with it. There's a reason it was shown in Japan in theaters with subtitles for some showings.
- Minimal worldbuilding info dumps, yet you see the cratered surface of the Earth and know exactly what it means without being told.
Any other thoughts or images or schematics or whatever y'all wanna share?

Doing some reading on the Japanese Internet I discovered that Jap otaku think Stand Alone Complex is really bad and Innocence is great. I can understand thinking that about Innocence since some parts of it absolutely are great, but I don't understand such a negative opinion of SAC. What gives?
