Why did no one tell me of this extreme floof?
because ressi steals the show anyway
also because the show sucks
>>15265800
>>15265800
it's 2 x-treme
>>15265800
You are in for a treat. L-Gaim has some great girls.
why didnt they just get amuro to pilot the gundam? i mean like the whole series is just non stop incompetence from kou,
also whyd the show have too end like that. you know they could have squeeed out a minute or tow to explain what happened
id say it was the best gundam series but 5 min ruined the whole thing.
>Amuro piloting the gundam
Ova ended in like 15-20 minutes when he realized that gato is a zeon scum
Amuro didn't get any of the Gundams because the Federation feared Newtypes as he said in Zeta. He was already stuck in Colorado at the time.
Feds didn't trust the Newtypes. Yazan would have been a better candidate.
Looks like a Brave to me, but I lack the knowledge of which one.
Any /m/ experts know who?
El Dorado V from Gun x Sword

Thank you so much.
>>15263844
Why is it that only super robots/braves and a few of the normal ones have cool names while others are really plain?
she actually did it the absolute madman
>>15263721
Finally, after all these years.
YES
YEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Wow, that's a plot twist and a half.
New Original Polimar for the movie
>>15263645
Sakamoto, eh?
>>15263645
Let me guess, Mikie Hara is playing her role.
Otaking on Shirow and greasy noodle women-

>>15263061
God damn Otaking looks like the most badass high schooler of 1998.
You can tell he could just hack into the mainframe of the firewalls of the pentagon at any time and replace all their screensavers with pictures of MD Geist and the FBI wouldn't be able to catch him cause he stakes too fast for them and their cars can't do sick backflips off a bridge into his secret underground hacker base that's full of really cool shit like Dirty Pair comics by Adam Warren and with Ministry always playing at full volume even when he's out.
And he never hands in his assignments on time.
>>15263061
Who?

>>15263344
the most badass high schooler of 1998
The moment the director Kanda (Dougram, Vifam, Dragonar, Mellowlink) died is the moment this show went to complete shit.
The guy who replaced him is Umanosuke Iida (Devilman OVAs, CB Character World OVA, Hellsing, Towa no Quon).
I'm conflicted. The Devilman OVAs were alright, but the second half of 8th MS Team made me want to kill myself.
Why do people hold this OVA in such high regards? I wouldn't say it's as bad as Unicorn, but it's definitely half way there.
>>15263009
Yeah, it was pretty fucking horrible.
In my opinion they hold it in high regard because:
a.) It has beautiful animation
b.) It has a cool concept and style (even if the actual execution and writing are abysmal)
aka the reasons why most people like any shitty modern anime.
If you give people something and make it seem like it is great even if it is actually garbage, most people won't think deeply about it and will take it at face-value.
>>15263036
You're right.
The Devilman OVAs could have been way better now that I think about it. I mean, the animation was top notch, but he did ruin the Jinmen fight by making it overly corny and cheesy. The Sirene fight was overly long for no reason as well. I'm glad he only directed 2 Devilman OVAs and not ruin the manga any further.
I can see the same problems being repeated in 8th MS Team. It was so fucking corny especially with the romance I couldn't take any more of it.
But Iida is dead too, so I guess it all goes to shit anyway.

So, does anybody know any good /m/ audio dramas?
I know there are a couple Star Trek fan audio dramas, and some official Doctor Who ones. Edict Zero FIS is a cyberpunk-ish audio drama.
There was also one where you wake up on a space station with no memory, with a "comforting" AI explaining to you who you are and why you're there, how to get about and so on, that slowly becomes creepier and creepier with some funny bits. I wish I could remember the name.
Anybody remember that one, or have any others to recommend?
>>15262956
The old NPR Star Wars radio drama is pretty cool. Last I heard somebody translated a bunch of Gaia Gear on youtube.

>pens classic Japanese scifi

Where did it all go so wrong with Shirow, /m/?
When he died in the 1995 quake and ghost writers took over.
Why do you think he hasn't granted a single interview or been seen in public in over 20 years?
>>15262459
exactly in 1995 during the Kobe earthquake.
1995 is the year everything went wrong: Shirow died, GitS was adapted by Oshii, Evangelion aired, and Marilyn Manson killed glam rock forever with ACSS.
>>15262469
>ghost writers
You mean like Project 2501?
No wonder the art got way worse: try drawing when you got no arms.
This video describes where Char and Amuro go during the Axis Shock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ru9STbPRyw&t=856s
No subs, but roughly what happens is:
Amuro passes onto Newtype Lalah land. Char goes to join him, and tells Sayla he can feel the collective will of humanity and see time.
Despite this, part of him realizes that after humanity witnessed such a miracle, they won't change, so he decides to become Full Frontal, who has no hope in humanity (I assume everyone knows this paragraph)
>>15262361
That explanation makes it sound like Char willingly helps, so it can safely ignored. Char felt the warmth of humanity in the finale of Char's Counterattack but it didn't actually cause him to change his mind or decide to help. Even after he felt that warmth and commented on how he could feel comfort in it he still stated that even people who felt that warmth could destroy their planet and got argumentative with Amuro over Lalah and Quess. Axis Shock happened despite Char, not (partially) because of him.
>>15262361
meh, the only way to explain this shitfest of ending is with this one
part1

Axis-shock happened because psycowaves can manipulate minovsky particles, and when amplified by psycoframes the psycowaves amassed minovsky particles around Axis, creating a thrust effect that pushed Axis away from the Earth and then a pull effect to pull the halves closer together.
What Gundam model Youtube channels does /m/ watch?
vegeta2988 for sure.
I miss rrobert, he was cool before turning into a sellout
ZakuAurelius
So /m/, what is the current mecha tier chart?
Who cares? Nobody here will ever pilot one, so it's not like any of it matters.
god tier- my favorite
shit tier- your favorite
>>15261989
pretty much
Does /m/ like Rune Masquer? It's to Izubuchi what FSS is to Nagano, except it died quickly.
>>15261162
I sure do! I first heard about it on /m/ and subsequently made it a point to bring it up whenever I get the chance. The mech designs look so cool, I really do wish this had taken off.
>>15261168
To this day I still can't find all the scans to the manga. It's even more obscure than Dragon's Heaven, which is saying something.
>>15261162
>>15261168
It is to Panzer World Galient as FSS was to L-Gaim, right? Cause I swear all the designs have serious overlap.
Which Gundam got shafted the most?
>>15260988
Probably that one. I can't think of any others that felt as disappointing.
>1st half of the show feature the Impulse on the title sequence
>2nd half features the Strike Freedom
>even named after the title
>>15261024
Blu Duel Gundam got wrecked by mooks.
Vidar is a damm sexy design but got cucked by Kimaris.
Flauros got a wacky paint job and achieved almost nothing before getting destroyed.
Guison never gets any screentime, let alone good animation.
...now tha I think about it, almost every Gundam except Barbatos gets somehow fucked in IBO.
Or, alternatively, un/m/entionables. It's hip and cool to integrate board letters into words, right?
/m/ works that generally get extremely little coverage.
I own this comic; surprisingly little submarine fighting but still a lot of machine fun.
For those who don't know, it's a tie-in-ish book of sorts for the IREM submarine sidescroller SHMUP "In The Hunt".
>>15260923
Fuck off, Busterbeam.
>>15260946
Who now? I don't follow most namefags.
