Just finished reading Robot Keiji. The ending was really abrupt and rushed, as with other Ishinomori manga I finished.
More importantly, are any Ishinomori tokusatsu series worth checking out or are they outdated and unwatchable? I'd rather read manga, but if there's a series that stands out, I'll check it out.

I feel like you could've posted this in the other thread but whatever.
Yeah, it's really abrupt especially the stuff with the father and daughter. What are his most popular manga, anyway? I'm wondering if these are like his lesser works because they really pale in comparison to Sabu and Ichi's brilliant stories.
>>15443333
I haven't read Sabu and Ichi yet, but Cyborg 009 is pretty much considered his magnus opus. I read that too, and Ishinomori failed to give it an ending 3 times. The first ending was rejected by fans who weren't satisfied with it.
It was Jo Onodera, his son, who made the ending manga in recent years.
>>15443337
>Ishinomori failed to give it an ending 3 times
Wasn't the due to publishers and stuff he had no control over, though?
Sabu and Ichi is episodic so you don't have to worry about some lackluster epic conclusion like with the cyborg stuff.
Is he the most hated character in mecha anime?
>>15443300
Him or Katz or Nina Purpleton.
>>15443300
I mean he's up there. Im sure if we sat down and really gave it some thought we could find worse.
Though you know you're a shitter when lesbian flute rapists are generally more likable
>>15443300
He has literally no redeeming features
Char is the name of someone who is loyal and trustworthy.

He's clearly pulling on that glove.
I like how the more stories they make focusing on him being cool and justified, the more he looks like a deranged lunatic who can't stop betraying people.

Can we talk about Zabine's being the sole reason why Crossbone should never get an anime
>>15443246
The only reason /m/ faggots don't want Crossbone or anything late UC animated, is because it is the only thing that actually gets discussion and /m/ would hate not being able to shitpost and meme about it, you can (Not) debate this.
Can someone explain to me what is good about Z Gundam? I am trying to watch it but it's so unbearable. Character motivations, pacing, plot, everything is out of place. Random battles every episode aren't helping whatsoever and the plot is incredibly slow. It feels like a good 70% of each episode is entirely skippable. Not the mention the rampant autism.
Does it truly get better? Because I can already barely stand it.

Finished watching it recently. The 30s dragged like hell. Almost ruined the show for me. Just pointless filler with near identical battles each episode. I fell like that was a big problem for a lot of Tomino shows. I'm fine with episodes that don't advance the plot, but they could at least put the characters in a new combat situation.
>>15443037
you're a tiny minded peanut head to not like the 30s and the rise fall rise character arc of katakam
>>15443037
I feel like Tomino shows would do well with 30-40 episodes but that's not even a thing anymore.
We have this thread from time to time don't we? what non-/m/ shows are you watching this season /m/en? I'm watching pic related this season, consider my surprise when these fellows showed up.
>>15442766
they were in the first season weren't they?
>>15442824
I don't recall them being so prominently featured as they were here.
Tough to say yet, since most of them only have one or two episodes out so far. I'll most likely stick with the Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in the Dungeon? side story and My Hero Academia S2 since I enjoyed the first series for both. Sagrada Reset might turn out decent too, but it's still too early to tell.
I heard more guns = better gundam

>Sei built the Star Build Strike
>Yuuki built the Amazing Strike Freedom
I kind of want to see an episode of BF where two guys each customize the exact same kit and face off against each other.
>>15442735
That would be a cool challenge thing. Sort of like in cooking competitions where they give the chefs a list of ingredients that they have to use, and see what recipe they build up around them.
>>15442923
Except those cooking competitions are rigged in favor of the chef's favorite food. Like that Italian that gets a boner whenever someone presents him something Italian. Or that stripper winning the competition while rumors of her sleeping with the judges.
He's the only one I can think of that was worth putting resources into. Every other newtype was more trouble than they were worth. Kamille could have killed Reccoa, Sarah, Four, and Rosammy early but he didn't because of muh understanding. It's the same with all the others I can think of too. Oh and don't even get me started on those worthless Cyber Newtypes. It seems the federation and the other groups stopped caring too after 0093 since they pretty much stopped bothering with Newtype tech
Wait I guess I forgot about Char.
>>15442320
It was never viable. NT tech only worked for Newtypes. Then there's the fact that there aren't that many of those around, and making Cyber Newtypes requires even more investment like reconditioning (if necessary), drugs (Federation version), a handler, mechanics to repair their NT tech, etc... Sure, investing in Income or a derivative of those would have been great, but it was probably too much for the average pilot to handle.
>>15442320
>Four
That was about getting his dick wet
>Rosammy
Executing the mentally ill is generally frowned upon in most societies.
How about Seabook.
a new figure of Meer is coming, goddammit why?
MEGAHOUSE 新FIGURE系列 GUNDAM GIRLS GENERATION Nose Art Realize,第1彈 機動戰士GUNDAM SEED DESTINY 美亞·甘寶
Meer was a good girl.
It makes sense in-universe that people would put nose art of Meer (and Lacus as well) onto their mobile suits, since she is an idol and all.
Since it's also supposed to be a new line of figures inspired by nose art I suppose you can think of it as getting the shit ones out of the way first if it makes you feel better.

Do Fairlions look even vaguely like Machine Calibers? Someone told me they did, but I don't really see it.
The face is kind of like Chamber's if you squint I guess.
But since they predate Gargantia by almost a decade it's just coincidence.

Reminder that Chamber is supposed to be modern Layzner
Why are Fairlions so lewd?
Can you guys recommend me some Good IDW Godzilla comics, so many miniseries and what not, just want to see which ones are worth reading
>>15441664
Half-Century War might be the best Godzilla story ever published, but it's over pretty quickly. Outside of that the main stories are better than the side-stories.
I think the first main one was just called Godzilla and that led into Kingdom of Monsters. Those were fun stuff, in an over-the-top monster-mash kind of way. I don't remember any of the other spinoff ones being particularly good, except for some parts of Godzilla In Hell being appropriately bonkers.
Godzilla in Hell was pretty good ride. The artists for each issue made it look very pleasing. Basic premise being Godzilla escaping hell while fighting Hell versions of monsters he had fought before.
The old Dark Horse Godzilla Color Special is worth checking out for the art alone.
