For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions, as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here!
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, don't make the new people worry!

**MELEE GROUP BUILD**
Build/paint a robot with a loadout focused on melee combat! Anything from shields to swords to lances to axes to bare fists is fair game. There's no room for ranged weaponry here, however, so anything resembling a rifle, Rocket Launcher, cannon, pistol, or any other ranged weapon is a no-go (Small ranged weapons that are built into the kit itself like head vulcans are ok, however).
More clarification here:
>If the body part has a built-in ranged weapon (head/chest vulcans, claw beams, etc), then that's fine. If it's a separate part like the Alex's arm vulcans it's best to leave those off.
>Melee weapons with in-universe ranged capabilities (Like the Kimaris's lance or the Gyan's shield) are fair game too.
>Any scale and any brand is fair game here, you're not limited to just using Gundams this time around.

So I just finished Discotek's release of Toei's Devilman series after owning it since it was first released. Don't think I've seen many thoughts on it and I doubt many people have seen it, so I'll share mine.
Like Mazinger and Toe's other Dynamic Pro series, the show is episodic for the most part except every now and then they'll introduce a new "demon general" to send out grunts for each episode. This is like every 10 or so episodes with the exception of the final three.
The first 25 or so episodes are really fun and there are some creative designs. The first half of each episode tends to be focused on spooky things happening with the second half being focused on Devilman fighting the demon.
It's all really fun until around episode 30 when a character named Lala is introduced. The horror elements are basically thrown out the window to focus on this character that has a crush on Devilman. She's an incredibly boring character and because of her none of the more wacky Nagai side characters can get any attention. Thankfullythey kill her offand go back to how the show was before she was introduced but by this point there's only three episodes left.
By the way, it basically has a Cutie Honey ending in the sense that nothing is really resolved and the main villain is still out there.
Toei ranking:
Mazinger > Cutie Honey > Devilman

This disappointed me until I remembered that the show is only 39 episodes meaning this Lala character only exists for like 6 episodes. Is the Discotek release easy to find? I plan to get it and Mazinger soon to watch some nice Toei stuff once I finish Toei Getter.

Wasn't it essentially a toned-down version of Demon Lord Dante in terms of some elements? I recall it's basically one main reason why Devilman was made in the first place (aside Nagai being allowed to make the more notorious Divine Comedy-influenced manga version of Devilman).

If you were a pilot designing your own personal Gundam, what would be it's signature feature?
Would it transform? Have a super-powerful gun? Would it have funnels? Would it be invisible to funnels? Would it have a shield that reflects energy attacks back at the enemy who fired the blast? Would it have an A.I.?
My Gundam would have a super-powerful EMP blast, with a shockwave of 5 miles. All mobile suits and mobile armor would be powerless within 5 miles of me while I was at full power.
