Sazers are essential early 00s tokusatsu.
Gransazer is a really great show and pretty much a "good" version of Kyuranger. Handles a 12-heroes idea a lot better than many Riders and Sentai do.

Justirisers is an above-average Sentai show. Probably the weakest of the whole trilogy, but decent enough, since it heavily relies on characters and tried to develop them.

Sazer X is closer to Tomica in terms of humour. Not really something spectacular, but has its own sense of identity. This one is the easiest of the bunch to watch and probably easiest to enjoy, if you want a light-hearted show.

Sazers are made by Toho, the guys behind Godzilla, so they know their giant stuff.

Sazer's mech isn't as flashy or fast as some Sentai stuff, but it's fucking HUGE and feels like an actual GIANT MECH. I remember feeling weight behind these things.

Hard to say. I'd assume it can hijack any spiral-power based technology, since things like Lordgenom's ship didn't look anything like a Gunmen until Lagann took control. Anything based on that power, it just assumes control.

But I don't think it can just control anything. It drilled through rock, it didn't drill into the rock and turn the ground into a Gunmen. So most Mecha I would put outside its reach.

Originally, Mecha like Getter might actually be MORE vulnerable to takeover than most mechs, since spiral power and Getter energy are so similar.

Just go read 0083 Rebellion if you have problems on character development and pacing in the OVA, Kelly survives past the moon arc and is the one that puts the old dog Burning out to pasture.
