I heard some jerk call gundam build fighters "gundam Valhalla," is this true? I've never watched it. Are all the characters deceased characters from other series? I like that I hope it's true. Though I like to think Bernie got away :(
>>15580638
There's a scene where they montage everybody enjoying a Gundam festival, and all of the characters show are people who died or had otherwise tragic endings in their shows. You've got the 0080 cast in your image, here. We also see Uso building Gunpla with his mom and dad, Char and Lalah on a date, Haman playing with young Mineva, and a bunch of other such cameos. It's not really a big deal, it's just a little bit of fanservice.

> Though I like to think Bernie got away
Got away while planting a load of meat in his cockpit to fool investigators?
>>15580661
>fanservice
And this fanservice can be reworked into something bigger.
For example, imagine that all this Valhalla stuff is nothing but Kamille's fever dreams while being a vegetable. Kamille sees himself as Sei and Char as Reiji.

It is possible to jump from one Gundam universe to another and the key to make that happen is the Plavsky crystal.
At some point in Reiji's universe, something happened concerning the crystal which somehow merged all the Gundam universes. This is where the Black History starts.
That green rainbowish light that we commonly see in the Gundam series resembles the Bifröst. We know that the Bifröst is link between all the Nine Realms of the Norse cosmos. It is possible that whenver that rainbowish light appears in Gundam opens up a portal of some kind to other Gundam universes.
What are some non mecha things that sound like they could totally be the name of a super robot?

Speaking of /m/etal, I was just thinking recently how most of the different creatures in the Judas Priest discography could've come out of a 80s AIC OVA.
There was that thread we had a while back full of Jewish songs that sounded like the best mecha openings. Let me try to find it.
Gundam show that isn't about war when?

Is she a robot?
>>15579046
She's a Carbon, they're sort of beyond that definition.
>>15579046
She is an organic android, same as the other Carbons. By Legends' time the distinction between human and robot is negligible at best.

Fuck you too, op.
I'm on episode 6 of ZZ, does this cunt get any better later?
>>15578886
He's already better than most gundam protagonist
>>15578886
No. ZZ really has the worst cast in all of Gundam.
The second half of the series is much better and much, MUCH less silly. Endure or skip to the middle, I don't care. I'd say it's worth it for the smexy Neo Zeon mobile weapons, alone.

So I didn't really look too into it on the first viewing, but I've come to really appreciate this episode.
I think the idea was for it to point out people/fans who want Gundam to take a more violent and gritty approach to its stories.
Since 0079 Gundam has told miltitudes of stories all set in context of a war.
However the warfare isn't necessarily the focus as the series tends to use it as an excuse to have characters argue about human ideologies and the general nature of conflict.
This isn't to say Gundam doesn't attempt to comment on warfare, as it does, but its stance on the issue is one that doesn't glorify or encourage it.
The main problem with the antagonists of the episode was that they were essentially taking Gundam and twisting it to satisfy their gritboner.
They wanted to turn the gunpla hobby into something savage like a war instead of a fun game you can play for sport.
You're reading too far into it. People didn't like them because they were cocky assholes.
>>15578675
nah, people love cocky assholes. People just had stick up their buts that they took shit FAR TOO seriously. Which is sad when you would see what happens in TRY
>>15578675
>>15578685
I don't know ... when the episode aired a lot of people here had a colossal hardon for the Renato brothers because their brand of tryhard (TACTICOOL Operator piloting a customized grunt unit) are the kind of tryhard that /m/ likes and shitted on Ral for his comment
With that out of the way, MG GM Sniper K9 when?
Is Victory something one watches when they are high?
Victory is best enjoyed with saltine crackers, cheese, and multiple 40.oz bottles.

Hey /m/
I'm going to be having a procedure done next week and will basically be unable to get around on my own for about two weeks after. I've already bought a stockpile of /m/ vidya to play but I'd also like to take the opportunity to watch Turn A Gundam since I'm almost done with Zeta (I've watched almost exclusively UC stuff for the past year and want to try something different).
So far I've seen:
>G Gundam
>Build Fighters and Try
>MSG
>Halfway through MSGZ
>08th MS Team and OVA
>0080
Turn A's designs look really cool to me, but I have a few questions:
>is Turn A SFW (my younger siblings want to watch it with me, and I know most Gundam shows have quite a bit of nudity)
>is the bluray set any good (cost isn't a problem, I need something that can be played on our living room player since I won't be able to access my PC)
>is Turn A connected to any show I need to watch prior?
Nudity wouldn't be a problem, but I'll be staying with my parents while I recover. If there is nudity, I just need to know around what episodes so I can cover my ass.
Thanks guys!
>>15578184
beginning episodes have a lot of slut loran.
are your parents cool with an older man openly lusting for a younger one?
>>15578206
We've watched weirder shit together, I'm mostly trying to avoid the awkwardness of it. I've watched Gurren Lagann with my little brothers which had a lot of weird funny homogay stuff in it. As long as Turn A doesn't get worse than that, I think I'll be fine.
I just don't want them walking in on full on nipples in your face type stuff if possible.
>>15578184
>is Turn A connected to any show I need to watch prior?
Yes. It's a culmination of every series before it.
A garage kit set I'm working on

Even as she's falling to her death, Minmay makes sure Hikaru doesn't see her panties. The purest girl!
Minmay is a dumb slut and literally any other girl would have been better for him.
>>15577487
Rude as heck.
>>15577541
I mean she literally says fuck Hikaru to pursue her pop career. She cares about herself a lot more than anyone else. On top of that she's insufferably ditzy, idealistic and completely useless outside of her singing.
