What sort of undergarments are best suited for space (elf) living?
is that an Alien reference?
Elves shouldn't wear underwear.
So am I understanding this correctly? Even the most basic variants of the Zaku II are armed with an AUTOMATIC 120mm gun, and the Federation sent regular tanks to fight them?
>>15616648
Yes. Also keep in mind Type 61s had some trouble fighting Zakus and MS because their guns could not angle high enough to hit them sometimes.
Type 61s are regular by the weird future standards of UC. If you've ever watched IGLOO there's actually a segment in IGLOO 2 devoted entirely to a Type 61 crew that fights Zakus.
>>15616648
They apparently have a slow RoF, and low energy. Anyway what ground unit would you send against a Zaku II?
In Zeonic Front they could easily kill your Zaku if they could score a couple of hits behind you.
I miss the gritty games like that, I'm tired of the cheap arcade rehashes we get nowadays in Gundam games.
Is the VOTOMs manga worth it?
The one about the Loli? It's supposed to be okay.
>>15616713
No, votoms was original a manga. I don't think it's translated tho.
>>15616723
Votoms was not originally a manga. It was just normal back them, and is still kinda normal today, to an anime original to have a manga adaptation series published during their runtime.
>>15616396
Never read or seen the votoms manga, and I think that just one volume was published in english by CPM, which and you can find it in amazon. Votoms viewers guideby Tim Eldred has this (pic) to say about the manga adaptaion, if this helps your curiosity.
What are good kaiju movies to check out that are NOT Godzilla or Gamera? I would like to branch out beyond those two specific franchises.
>>15616272
Daimajin exists. There are also a few other Toho films that aren't Goji. And of course, Ultraman.
>>15616272
Kaiju films are here and there, but an actual multi-media franchise? I think there are only a handful
Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman, Kong, Daimajin
>>15616272
I like Atragon / Gotengo a lot.
Apologize.

What do you guys think of Victory Gundam? I'm only at episode 10 but so far it doesn't seem to be doing much. Usually 10 episodes in a good amount of the world would have been established, but it feels like nothing has happened. Maybe it's because I've been taking breaks between groups of episodes but i'm not sure. The mech designs are great though, I wish BESPA suits had more kits.
I haven't watched it myself but the MC's haircut looks like shit.
Can it be viewed without having completed the OG trilogy + CCA?
>>15615356
Probably, it's late UC so it shouldn't impact it much.
>>15615346
Everybody dies except for Uso, Marbet, Shakti and Katejina

Any recent pictures of Yutaka Hirose? How is he doing anyway?

What the fuck was up with Victory Gundam?
>>15614929
Death.

Depression.
>>15614929
Hard times.
This was not bad
>>15614881
The zords and costumes design is shit but the characters is fine
>>15614891
I did appreciate that it actually focused on the characters and made them a team you want to win by factor of caring for them as people, rather than the color they wore.
I wasn't bothered too much by the suits, as I've always been a fan of the Guyver's aesthetic and they kinda reminded me of that.
But yeah, the Zords, especially the Megazord were pretty shitty.
At least we got to see them use the Zords as individual mechs instead of instantly combining them. That was nice to see.
>>15614881
>MFW the zords ran forward like in a line while it screamed "GO GO POWER RANNNNGERS"
Do you know what's the most patriotic thing you can fly?
A Flag.
No wonder it didn't last for long.
Bullshit, son.

***READ THE GUIDE***
For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions, as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here!
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, don't make the new people worry!
>Why won't anyone answer my question?
Try being specific, especially about your materials and process. Post pictures whenever possible; even if the kit/part looks bad, you are more likely to get help posting pictures.

== THICK MS GROUPBUILD ==
Build a kit of your choice that's heavily armored, and thick in the thighs/arms/torso/general area. Examples include:
>Dom + Dom Variants
>The O
>Virtue/Seravee Gundams
>Gusion/Man Rodis
>Full Armor gundams (If they're heavily armored, and not guns strapped everywhere like the FA Unicorn)
Non-Bandai kits are allowed, so feel free to whip out a Frame Arms kit or something and work with that as long as you make it thicc as fuck.
Start Date: 6/15
End Date: 8/31
>>15614372
Wow the Unicorn looks way better without the Psycho Frame.
I'm posting this here again since no one seemed to reply from the last thread:
So, some of my old kits have parts that just keep developing magical stress cracks/fractures. Pic related but not mine.
My Clanche actually had her wrist guards shatter to pieces. How the fuck do I repair this and prevent it from happening again? Specially the wrist guards on the Clanche. I have an inkling the ball joint on the wrist expands the polycap too much thus cracking the flimsy THIN plastic wristguard...
- If I sand the wrist joint to make it smaller, the hand will end up limp and loose.
- If I shave he polycap's outer edges, the wrist guard will be loose.
- If I shave the inner part of the wrist guard that hugs the polycap, the wrist guard will be loose...
I'm stuck in a clanche-22 here.
Also. in regards to fixing stress fractures/cracks, do I use putty? or plastic cement to reattach and seal them back together? And what kind of putty do I use? Is that tamiya brand stuff ok?
Why does so much of the fandom write Gundam Wing off as having nothing intelligent to say?
3 of those quotes made me laugh out loud.
>>15614320
Those look like posts literal fedora tippers would make
Everything intelligent it had to say came years later in hindsight with the advent of drone warfare, it wasn't relevant at the time the show came out.
Next in Gundam EXA
Been a while since I saw this Gundam!
>>15613730
it was my very first gunpla. too bad they wont make new HG for it.
Nice to see G-Unit get love but it'll never get new kits.
Heya /m/,
I just finished the MSG compilation movies on you guys' suggestion and had a blast it. I've also watched 08th MS team (loved it), and War in the Pocket (loved it)
When watching further shows is it better to go by in universe timeline (in which case I go back to Gundam origin) or should I just go onward with Zeta which I believe is the next published one?
Also some questions from the movies since they're still fresh in my mind, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm missing something from not watching the TV show:
Probably as a consequence of the terrible one sided fights that Amuro deals out for the entirety of the series am I fucked in the head for sympathizing with Zeon? Apart from Ghiren "Space Hitler" Zabi, a lot of the Zeon characters I've seen so far are pretty interesting and sympathetic characters. Dozle, Ramba Ral, Hamon, Garma, Lalah (throw in Bernie and company from War in the Pocket and Norris, Bjorn, Topp, Dell, and Yuri from 08th MS team) are all pretty sympathetic characters, when among the Earth Federation you've got, well, much less (at least to me) interesting characters.
Or am I just fucked in the head.
Other question I had was on Char. Isn't Char kind of a dick for killing Garma and Kycilia? I understand his motivation for knocking off Degwin for what Degwin did to his father, but what'd Garma and Kycilia do to him, or is he supposed to be made out as a bad guy for doing that or what im confus
Last question going forward is I really enjoyed the feel of War in the Pocket/08th MS Team stories of average grunts just trying survive in shitfest that was the One Year War, as well as the political happenings in the third movie of the MSG film, are these things that are common in the other shows in the universe?
Thanks dudes.
>>15612860
>am I fucked in the head for sympathizing with Zeon?
Yes and no. Sympathizing with them as an entity? Absolutely. Sympathizing with individual members of Zeon? Go for it. A lot of the Zeon characters are cool dudes (although Dozle is a piece of shit, despite his cool demeanor, as is Hamon.) Mobile Suit Gundam sort of suffered from that whole trope of the main characters being just as fucked by their own side as the enemy side, so the Federation's higher ups sometimes end up being cartoonishly evil while Zeon ends up being standard evil.
>Isn't Char kind of a dick?
Watch Zeta.
>I kind of enjoyed WitP/08th MS Team because grunts. What do?
You've hit the peak, sadly.
>Muh political drama?
Watch Zeta.
Good luck.
>>15612860
>Isn't Char kind of a dick
yes
please remember this so you don't get confused later
>>15612883
Did I miss something about Dozle and Hamon that was in TV show or is that something else? Dozle seems like a nice caring family man who values the lives of his subordinates while Hamon seems devoted enough to Ramba to kamikaze on Amuro.
So I just got finished watching Char's Counterattack and i heard about the two (follow up?) light novels Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children and Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash. Has anyone read these? Are they worth the time or not?
>>15612590
Belty's Brats is merely a retelling of Char's Counterattack with a more extravagant (but less cool, IMO) versions of Amuro and Char's respective mobile suits (and some other plot differences) and Hathaway's Flash is a direct sequel to the former.
Neither are canon to UC proper as they exist in a setting that contains an alternate retelling of an existing animated work.
>>15612590
Now that is fully translated and zeonic is working on Hathaway's flash.
>>15612831
>Now
Meant neither
