I finished the TV series the other day and the Gekiganger 3 OVA today and I wanted to check this out before I went to watch Prince of Darkness since I hear the movie makes no goddamn sense unless you know what happened in that game. Shin Goji is finally getting a very limited theatrical run in the UK. London and other major cities, one night only. August 10th.
Is it too late? Will you be going to watch? I've seen both cuts online already, but getting to see Shin on the big screen is a treat I've been excited for since the first trailers.

I hate to tell you guys, but this is just not going to happen. It's sad because we're so close to having it, but at this point it's falling through already. I mean, one month to go and they haven't sold tickets or even told us the location, the date, anything.
And you know what? For all you fat weebs who spammed how much you hate the MkII, it's JAPAN'S FAULT. They had the same two years to stir up support, funds, and build hype. They did absolutely nothing, while Megabots partnered with NASA and IBM, rented a compound and doubled the speed and tonnage of their robot, launching a youtube series and a comic book in the process. As for our Nippon friends: Building in secret? Gimme a break, this is entertainment, not skunkworks.
I don't know what happened to Japan, they used to be such an energetic proud nation. I guess they're too distracted by disgusting anime and porn nowadays to defend their own dignity.
It's sad, but it's true. I think the best chance Megabots has at surviving as a viable idea is if they themselves build a competitor robot and give it to some other country to fight. Otherwise this will die with Japan to blame for dropping the ball
