Must be a really long way then
I still wish to read Hien.
>>15697663
why would I read about some manga by the creator of felcher gundam?
>>15698601
>felcher
>have no idea what that is
>look it up
>it's urban slang
Stop culturally appropriating things anon. Your reddit, SA, and neogaf friends will be mad at you.
Hey, /m/. I'm trying to remember an space-themed series for kids. The main characters were a boy, a girl dressed like a tour guide and the dad of the girl. One of the villains was a Harlock parody.
Any ideas?
Could it be "YAT Anshin!"? It's the only thing that comes to mind for me.
>>15697510
That's it, thanks.I was searching it for the latino dub.
>>15697517
That is fair, the darn thing still isn't subbed anyways.
Is The Origin the best /m/anga?
If not, what is?
>>15696446
Everything is opinion based. Every show, manga, whatever is given a rating by what you and others think. You may enjoy that the most and I can enjoy something else, neither of us are wrong.
>>15696457
To be honest, I'm just looking for recommendations. Since this is 4chan, I figured that was the best way to start the thread.
>>15696446
>Is The Origin the best /m/anga?
Pretty sure that title belongs to something by Tezuka, Yokoyama, Ishinomori, Miyazaki, Nagano, Nagai or Ishikawa.

I know it seems stupid to give up on this show before it has even started, but I don't think this is going to be something that I'll be able to stick around with for the other 43 episodes.
Is there a different Metal Heroes show I should watch as an introduction to the series?
Gavan seems too fast paced and introduces a relationship between characters as if I'm supposed to know who they are right off the bat.
>>15694233
I'd personally shill for Winspector. It's one of my favourites, kicking off a self-contained trilogy of shows, so you'll be able to go on to the sequels; Solbrain and Exceedraft (if it ever gets subbed).
Juspion would be another good choice. First stand-alone series after the original Space Sheriff trilogy of series (Gavann, Sharivan, Shaider), so you can jump straight in with no prior knowledge and get a feel for the franchise as a whole.
I'd say try Metalder, but I don't know you so I don't know if you'll like it.
>>15694389
Is that show even watchable with the four different HK tier subs

I would say no. But I have not sentimental connection to the band.

Why do you retards deny that there's only one gundam timeline? I thought Turn A made it pretty clear all Gundam "AU" series are all part of one timeline.
>>15693097
I'm not even sure you're in my timeline.
The Dark History only goes up to the SEED TV show. There have been many new alternate timelines that came after SEED, as well as the Regild Century that aren't included in the Dark History scene.
That scene is severely outdated. Not only that, it makes little to no sense continuity wise. Even if the Turn A reset the Earth, there would still be plenty of the space people left.
Where are the Coordinators and PLANT? what about the ELS? do you see how futile it is to cram every Gundam timeline into one?
all the shows could conceivably be all a single timeline but different eras
>>15692910
I honestly am curious as to what they will come up with next.
Maybe a Gundam in which the protagonist is a strategist/captain ala Sumeragi, Bright, and Henken?
That way we can watch them suffer as the people they send out die under their captain's command.
>>15692910
one just ended 3 months ago for fuck sakes. Wait a little bit holy shit.
>>15692910
Haven't you heard OP Gundam is dead. Twilight Axis is shit, no Gundam series announced for 2017-2018, IBO was a massive flop, model kits don't sell well anymore. This franchise can't go on forever sooner or later it will come to an end. Hopefully sooner than later.
Everytime I try to launch MSGO from the launcher, nothing happens. The launcher downsizes and my mouse loads and that's it. MUDFISH is saying everything is okay.

Clock and region both are.
This pops up whenever I try running it.
This thread is for discussion of the Brave franchise, as well as Eldran and similar shows.
So, I just finished Fighbird, and here's the thing; Everyone here always say it's the worst Brave, right? Maybe it's because it was so undersold to me, or maybe I have shit taste, but I absolutely fucking loved it. It's such a colossal improvement on Exkaiser it's not even funny. Yeah, it had the usual filler, the stock footage, and other flaws, but it also had:
>a fucking kickass lead in Katori, and Kenta is one of the better shotas as well
>multiple story arcs, and a good amount of continuity leading up to the excellent ending
>an awesome, genuinely threatening/menacing villain
and above all: the best god damn mechanical designs ever. Both variants of Granbird? Great Fighbird? Fucking DRAIAS?FUCKING GREAT DRAIAS? (that's what that thing was called, right? All 10/10 designs.
Now all that's left is Might Gaine and Dagwon, and later this year I'm going to start Eldran with Raijin-Oh.
>>15690548
The main issue with FighBird is that it often seemed to get very repetitive with the plots of the week, like kidnapping was very common in the 2nd half of the show. It got to a point that when it had an episode that was basically Scooby-doo it felt like a breath of fresh air.
>>15690548
Do people think it's the worst?inb4 Goldran shitposter
For me it was a pretty middle of the road series. Ranking for me would be J-Decker > Goldran > Da Garn > Gaogaigar > Dagwon > Fighbird > Might Gaine > Exkaiser
Of the Eldrans, I haven't finished Go Saurer yet but Raijin-oh was fantastic and Ganbaruger was pretty good.
>>15690548
The only good part was Katori, really
It has the same story arcs as every single other Brave show. Heroes main robot gets rekt, he has to make do with another for awhile before getting his original back and then they both combine, final battle with the main villain, etc.
Draias wasn't good for anything other than its design, his underlings were stupid and not even in a funny way as with Exkaiser, and he didn't come out to fight as often as Dino Geist IIRC. I really do like the mechanical designs, I'll give you that, but it did literally nothing to set itself apart from Exkaiser or even the Transformers shows before it. And of course, it has a metric assload of stock footage. I know that's a common thing with Braves, but I think Fighbird gets the prize for having the absolute most since nearly every episode has stock footage of Fighbird launching, Fighbird transforming, Fighbird combining, and Fighbird doing its final attack, not to mention any stock footage for the side robots. And speaking of those side robots, they were just as bland as the ones in Exkaiser and never got to do anything meaningful.
For me, it's
Goldran>Da Garn>Dagwon>GGG>J-Decker>Exkaiser>Fighbird
Still waiting on Might Gaine to be decrabbed.
Ganbaruger was my favorite Eldran, trailed by Gosaurer and Raijin-Oh in last.
Who's your favorite female Gundam pilot and why?
>>15689376
Kamille, she doesn't have a man's name
Aren't there like 3 female gundam pilots total?
>>15689376

3rd Season next year
Hate to say it but what a boring season.
>>15689106
This was the final ep huh?
Not bad, significantly better than the previous; though I should expect that of a season finale.
>>15689106
My only wish was that there was more. It's not as conclusive of an end as season 1 was, just wish it was a full length series. Too bad the manga isn't even finished yet.
>start watching 0079
>the salt filler arc literally will not end
>watch the movie trilogy instead
>all the shitty filler is removed
>problem solved
Why did they waste so much time on this trivial bullshit?
>>15686089
hey, logistics is the most important part of war
Bad repost from months ago, everybody hide and move on
>>15686089
"salt filler arc"
i dont think you can call it a arc when its only one episode
also people give that episode shit, it was a really important episode to the plot and fucking sayla pilots the gundam. far from filler.

So, the guys who made RWBY are making a mecha show. Thoughts?
>>15685082
It's probably going to be super corny with a lot of uncanny or awkward scenes, but knowing that I'll probably check it out.
Although I wouldn't mind if they went the RvB route too.
>I’m not ready to go into too much detail about the main gimmick of the show, but me and the team working on it, we’re all just huge fans of anime, of Ghost in the Shell, and any of the Gundam anime we love. Aldnoah Zero. Gargantua. I’m a huge fan of the writing of Gen Urobuchi, who did a whole bunch of science fiction anime in Japan.
>>15685122
Oh shit they're just gonna make some super edgy tryhard shit aren't they?
That explains the Halo esque tacticool look of the mecha.
This is either going to be very decent, or very bad.
I'm gonna make a prediction so screencap this.
The first episode or story arc is gonna have a character (possibly the MC) being the lone survivor of some failed mission or a surprise attack on a planet/city/base.
All right, /m/,
I'm thinking of doing a panel for this local anime convention in March about the history of the mecha genre. Any suggestions for shows I can talk about outside of these? While I haven't watched all of the ones here, I'm thinking of only talking about these shows as they've all had some big form of influence on the genre or another (with Getter Robo Armageddon being the reason why all these Dynamic Pro reboots got made or quite possibly just classic mecha revival OVAs in general). However, there might be other important shows that have impact on the genre, so I'd greatly appreciate suggestions.Yes I know that Transformers G1 isn't anime shut up it's important regardless
>>15682863
Be sure to mention Irritating Bowel Odor ruined gundam.
>>15682874
Oh hai, IBOrager!
I'll probably bring it up as an example of the genre or AU Gundam shows, but since so many shows have "ruined Gundam", I'm probably not going to be devoting a large portion of the panel to it. Might crack a joke or just simply say that I don't like it.
>>15682863
you need to talk about Megazone 23
