Unicorn prominently features characters from ZZ and you can't go directly from the third Zeta movie to CCA because of the Axis asteroid being in the wrong place.

Unicorn was a big puff of nothing. The paltry prize at the end of the treasure hunt was rendered completely inconsequential by Mineva announcing what it was. Even in a series produced after Unicorn, the most you should expect as a callback to it would be a student in history class answering a question about what year the Vist Foundation came under investigation.
The third one is just pointless. It makes more sense to assume it's just random uniform porn (or an easter-egg which is what it actually is) than to assume that Sayla's pink uniform was completely unique in all the EF.

Not really, most furries are attracted to that kind of thing because they use it to mask their fragile egos so they can partake in normal social matters.
I've seen some documentaries where people literally couldn't go to a fast food restaurant and interact with the cashier unless a fursuit was hiding their face.
Then there's also those who are sexually attracted to furries not that there aren't people who have similar feelings for mecha but that's a different manner.

Are these the only Jaegers in the sequel? If so, too humanoid with the designs. The crazy looking designs were half the fun of the 1st film.
