I don't know what you call these kinds of "These are all the weapons I have" pictures, but I need more of them.

Do I have to watch this or can I just move on to Turn A Gundam?
>>15708807
You don't have to do anything. X is good though.
>>15708807
Yes, the by laws laid down by Bandai in the International Gundam Viewing Act of 2003 state that you have to watch Gundam X and cannot watch any further iterations of Gundam made after it without watching previous ones. That's why Gundam is required viewing in Japanese schools.
>>15708807
It has some pretty big visual cameos in Turn-A's big Dark History reveal, but no actual references in dialogue or anything else.
It also kind of has a proto-Dark History concept of its own in some ways since in spite of being officially an AU it makes several references to something that resembles UC when talking about the past.
Are there any mecha shows where the protagonist actually has a position of authority in the military instead of being a low ranking pilot?
>>15708752
>Yang
>Protagonist
What?
Mecha is about the kid in the robot, not the adult in the captain's chair.
Code Geass kind of counts, I suppose.
I just noticed this now, but why did they show S. Freedom when Destiny is clearly fighting??? the hell?
>>15708708
Seed Destiny is bad. What are you still not getting
>>15708709
I know it's shit but why did they show S. Freedom when Shinn is clearly fighting in the Destiny? Wakarimasen
>>15708711
SEED
DESTINY
IS
BAD
How does it felt like to get squashed by a zaku 2?
Like salty milk and coins.
>>15708545
Unpleasant, I imagine
It would be extremely painful
Will he bring light to the infinite darkness that is /m/?
>>15708263
Literally who?
>>15708263
Which Mega Man is that?
>>15708268
>>15708269
You don't deserve to know his name.
Just read through Getter Robo Saga and... that's it, huh? No resolution on all that plot stuff? Like, I get that Ishikawa died and all, but that's never stopped a franchise from being milked to the very last drop.
x gon give it to ya
Meh. There's nothing else to be said. Dead franchise is dead franchise.
There's a reboot of the story being published right now
What went wrong with this piece of shit?
>>15707880
not a damn thing, summerfag
Nothing
>>15707880
why don't you state your own criticisms and we can work off those
>tfw Macross II was better than everything Kawamorshit has pinched off since but we'll never get a proper follow-up because he strode in all "nah, this is my shit" and people dropped to their knees to service him because he was the "original creator"
That's a pretty complicated feeling.
>>15706973
The only noteworthy things from II were Sylvie and the Obari VF.
>>15706973
Can't say as I share the sentiment. I found II superficially enjoyable but immediately forgettable and that it left no lasting impression beyond that I've mostly forgot it. I didn't hate or even dislike it, I just didn't anything it really. I do think it had a few neat ideas, like a journalist main character and the designs were nice, but mostly I just don't think it stuck with me.
7's first half was boring but the second half and OVAs are great, Zero is a slightly more enjoyable and memorable experience than II even if it was fairly mediocre overall and Frontier was an inferior retread of the original that was at least enjoyable and had some cool stuff even if it'll never surpass SDF Macross. Delta had a great first episode and that's about it. II is probably the weakest entry to me because while Delta was certainly worse, it was at least memorable and I can summon some kind of impression and emotion regarding it and articulate my feelings on it.
Firstly I want to say I am not a typical /m/ user so if the following is not allowed then please know I didn't mean to post it as a means of shitposting. With that said.
Is astroboy allowed here? I have played astro boy: omega factor for years now and from just that game have come to love the character. However I never have actually read any of the manga of the character. Can someone tell me if there is a physical release of the mangas they recommend? I am a physicalfag and am willing to buy the comics if I can. Thanks.
Astroboy thread.
>>15706746
Astroboy is allowed, yes. I have no idea where to buy the manga as I do not read any.
>>15706746
There's the Dark Horse anthology comix. I have some and enjoy them quite a bit, though apparently folks don't like the size of the books or the print/
>>15706759
Thanks. Sorry but I didn't know if it was only actual mechs, people piloting giant robots, or robots in general.
>>15706761
Yeah I have heard that release and have been caustious to get them as I have heard similar complaints. I have never seen them in person though, by any chance can you give me a estimate of how big the pages are.

Didnt Chester just die?
>>15706682
We already have a thread for this.
>>15706680
>>15706682
I'm just now realizing Chester Bennington looks an awful lot like an IRL Tenneth A. Jung...
Anybody have this stupid manga. I'm craving it all of a sudden. Its by the author of Crossbone, so its guaranteed to be pretty average, but I really need to read it again.
Why there's still the old daimos if there's also the upgraded version?
>>15706883
Erica got her own Daimos clone "Phobos" and fight by Kazuya's side in this story.
>keep rewatching Buddy Complex because other mecha shows are too long, heavy or complicated, or just badly done
I just need something fun and comfy, is this too much to ask?
>>15706316
Are you sure you just don't love seeing Bizon suffer?
>>15706318
Nah, if I have to say a reason it's Hina, the magically not-homo-at-all bromance between Aoba and Dio, and also the music, god the music is so good.
I do enjoy some Bizon suffering too, but it's not that important.
>>15706316
How about Majestic Prince? Or is 24 episodes already too long for your liking?

Wat?
Old version
Hey, /m/ I'm relatively new to Gundam and have been going through UC. My current watch order has been: MSG (show), MSG:Origin, MSG 08th, MSG Pocket, MSG Thunderbolt.
I've been told to watch Zeta, ZZ and CCA before watching MSG 83. Is this the better watch order or can I continue chronologically?
>>15705801
At least Zeta before 83
>>15705802
Yeah? Would i have a better experience going ZZ then CCA then 83?
The old advice was always production order, but I mean sure, Origin covers a lot of interesting bits about Char and Sayla, so that's fair enough.
