Nah, it's boring as fuck.
Yeah. One of the funnier books I've read. Just read the Gospel of Matthew as a primer if you haven't (I knew the general story but wish I had read it before reading this)

Great fun, in all honesty, look something up if you don't know the general russian situation at that time, makes you understand way better what Bulgakov is making fun of.
Also, has someone here read it a second time? I really want to but I don't know if I'll enjoy it.
Yeah. One of the funnier books I've read. Just learn Russian as a primer if you haven't (I knew the basics but wish I'd become fluent before reading this)

Maybe it was the translation I read, but I thought this book would do really well in an anime adaptation. Something about the tone...
its weird. it's very funny but it i didn't find it very profound at all in counterbalance. and to that, it wasn't even funny in the last half because it's pretty much one joke the entire book and there's no emotional stakes at all because the rules pretty mch change on a whim, and in the end there's never really any conflict either.
it's like a weird christian looney tunes episode that tries as hard as possible to not be liked and its still kind of fun?
