I, Robot. At least read this before the Robot novels, which in turn read before the Foundation novels.

Go with complete robot. All of i robot plus more. Its what I started with.

They really aren't. They have some decent ideas, but the first book is too dialogue-heavy, and then the second book fixes that, but introduces the Mule, which just fucks up the third book, and makes it a struggle to get through.
