Do you do this to your books, or do you use an actual bookmark?
Physical is faggot shit
I tend to get bookmarks constantly from relatives who don't know what to buy for presents, so I don't have to crease pages.
Bookmark.
I've got plenty of them since Book Depository include one in every shipment

Paperbacks i just turn upside down where I left off.
Hardcovers and library books I use ribbon bookmarks

I use a small sticky note. The 1.5 x 5 cm (1/2" x 2") ones
There are plenty of bookmarks to be found in libraries, bookstores, etc.. For a while i took as many as i could and now have several in store for whenever i start reading a book. They are worthless and do a great service, no need to do that to the pages

If you go so long without reading a book that you forget what page you are on, you don't read enough.
i dont' remember us ever having this fucking thread again

i don't do that or use a bookmark. i only read one book at a time and i read until there's some kind of break. if there isn't, i'm usually pretty good at remembering where i left off. if i read something and it sounds familiar, i skim until i find my place.

Tbh when I read non fiction I spend a lot of time reading other stuff inbetween
And it's dumb to rely on my memory when I can just add in a little otherwise useless piece of paper to the book and forget about numbers
