Why is this book so famous & popular? I read it in grade 10 for school so I have read it but being that young and "forced" to read it there is very much the possibility that I didn't "get" it. But I've read a lot since then are there are many better books that would also be appropriate for highschool kids. Why this book?

It's easy to read and interpret, with obvious but agreeable morals.

Well-written and highly influential to the development of the modern American literary style, not to mention its cultural relevancy. I'd recommend it, especially if you like Mark Twain.
