If any one of these books is remotely not shit, I guess i'll suck it up and read it, but if they are all shit i'm just going to sparknote it, even if it means making a negative impression on the teacher who I happen to like so far.

Bel Canto sounds kind of fun. The Hosseni book would probably be the quickest and easiest to read, unless it's long. Hosseni writes at a YA level pretty much. He's just such a cunt though, you'll hate the melodrama and preaching.
