Campbell actually rescued me from an incredibly severe depression and spun me into a hysterical mania where I was talking to God. Took me about 4 months to settle down, and here I am. Still alive.
So I suppose that it's worth checking out. Campbell's detractors all seem to attack him based on specious, attention-seeking pretense. It's pretty solid stuff.
Art of Fiction and 'On Moral Fiction' are great.

Siddhartha is widely available and easy to find if you do any searching at all. (It's really against the spirit of the book, and the thread I dare say, simply to do it for you and give you a link when it's so easy for you to put effort in and find for yourself.)
The Gospel of St. Matthew
