Fitzgerald is many, many levels above G.R.R.M., whoever the comparison is unfair, i.e., picking one of the best passages in The Great Gatsby and comparing it to a passage where a character is suffering from diarrhea.

It's not like you need to try this hard in order to find instances of bad writing in G.R.R.M.'s books.
